  • An amazing experience!

by Catherine on 5/2/25Place Bell - LavalRating: 5 out of 5

100% worth it. I will never forget this wonderful experience! My 93 year old grand mother has been watching figure skating her whole life and said how much she loved the show.

Stunning array of world class talent and performances. Elvis was worth the price of admission. A master even at his age. Great music selection and costumes. Lighting lrft a lot to be desired. Names of skaters should appear on the screen every time a skater comes out.

  • Stick to the theme

by KTee on 4/28/25Scotiabank Centre - HalifaxRating: 3 out of 5

We enjoyed the show but did not like that they didn’t stick to the them of rock music. We realize the cast need a slower paced song to skate to at times to pace themselves but… the songs at times were the extreme opposite of rock music. They could have used ballad music from rock bands if they needed to slow things down. The attendance was low. Ticket prices are too high. There needs to be better discounts for seniors and students. One thing we found extremely annoying was before intermission a cast member came out and spoke about a family who escaped war time to come to Canada. People around us thought it was part of the actual show and were quite annoyed to find out it was to solicit $49/ month commitment to World Vision. It’s fine to turn up the lights for intermission and mention World Vision and simply give directions as to where to go in the venue if you want to commit to sponsor a child in World Vision. That should be the extent of it. It’s a guilt trip to drag out the request for more than a few minutes.

  • Great show, it’s just..

by Tan on 4/28/25Scotiabank Centre - HalifaxRating: 4 out of 5

The skaters did an amazing job- excellent energy, impressive skill. Entertaining choreography. We were just a little turned off by the request to donate after the first part of the show. It seemed tacky, awkward and uncomfortable. In a climate where everyone is worried about the next scam, everyone has a hard time trusting. We don’t easily hand out financial info especially without thinking it through. The donation request followed a series of performances with the skaters being silly and impersonating famous music artists. From that playful tone right into a sad story (that we have heard a million times before); then putting the audience on the spot asking to give right then and there. Embarrassing to those who cannot. Also a jarring return to reality on a fun night out. Maybe best followed by more serious series of performances? Maybe better advertised throughout the stands, or as you enter or leave the arena? It’s a perfect opportunity to do good, but I just think poorly executed. It felt like receiving a big dose of guilt / shame when you drive by someone begging on the street or at a store front. A little of that uncomfortable feeling is good, and will help deliver a message for help, but it might be at the expense of the audience leaving your show feeling elated and completely impressed. Bravo to the skaters though!

  • Disappointing Production

by Former Skating Fan on 4/28/25Scotiabank Centre - HalifaxRating: 2 out of 5

I found it a very cheesy in its presentation starting from the picture of the DJ on the big screen mumbling something that was hard to hear to the clips on the screen. And did not enjoy the world vision plug to get sponsors. Although a worthy cause and already a sponsor, I’m out to enjoy my night of entertainment. The skaters were lovely and of course Elvis is the best! I was to a show a few years back and remember loving it but feel I never need to go again sadly.

I'm a big fun of Elvis Stojko, since I was teenager and he was participating in world championships, I love watching him skating! I admire his talent! It's incredible how he skates many years later. Thanks to all skaters and producers of the show! It was great experience to see all of you talented, beautiful and working hard!

From booking the tickets to the show it self, everything was great! Finally got to see Elvis in person, have been watching him on TV since I was a kid. My kids were so inspired by all the skaters. Can't wait until next year!

  • Lower key event

by wattisbob on 5/16/24Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

It was not as good as the past 20 years. More skits and less skating. Great to see the quad jumps that usually are absent at SOI. Crowd was way smaller (maybe the date change). Looking forward to next year and hope they go back to historic format.

  • Moving

by Romantic on 5/15/24Rogers Place - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

Excellent and moving! A skater from Japan, second to skate, moved me to tears. First time while watching a performance. Well run event, planning on going next year.

  • Amazing talent.

by Linda on 5/15/24Scotiabank Saddledome - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

This show is always spectacular. The talent on the ice is incredible. The hours, dedication and love for the sport shows in their performances and accomplishments. It's sad that more people do not attend Stars on Ice as it is a beautiful sport and deserves more credit.

  • Very Professional from start to finish

by Jasmine on 5/14/24Rogers Place - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

So much artistic athleticism on display. Great music in the programming and excellent use of humour to keep me engaged. Just a fun night to remember :)

  • It was a wonderful show.

by Madebi on 5/14/24Rogers Place - EdmontonRating: 4 out of 5

The show was great. Drawback: We found out about the change of date incidently via the news …no message came to the inbox of the purchaser…so we very easily could have missed the show had we not seen the news item.

  • Been to better shows

by Me on 5/14/24Rogers Place - EdmontonRating: 2 out of 5

It was alright. Didn’t understand the since parts as they didn’t have anything to do with the rest of the show. They didn’t do that before and it was just too much. Went to see skating not little skits. Enough with asking for donations have a booth smart and that’s it. Don’t be pushing it. And this year gave no stories of the skaters going to volunteer so why would I donate if the skaters aren’t even personally involved. The ending number was boring and the outfits we not great. The skaters during the show we more entertaining. Will probably be my last show.
