About

ST. VINCENT IN CONCERT:

Possessing a rare combination of art-school appeal and mainstream accessibility, St. Vincent's Annie Clark is well on her way to full blown pop stardom. From her collaborations with David Byrne and Sufjan Stevens to her acclaimed work as St. Vincent, Clark has demonstrated an unbridled creativity and commitment to pop experimentation, making her a favorite with fans and critics alike. Her recordings may be stunning, but it's her talents as a performer that really make Clark stand out — taking the stage in an architectural gown, Clark's otherworldly movements and ethereal vocals are the stuff of legend, making her 2014 tour dates a must for any fan of true avant-pop spectacle.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Born in Oklahoma, Annie Clark, a.k.a. St. Vincent, took up the guitar at age 12, going on to play in her high school's jazz band as a teenager. After spending three years at Boston's Berklee College of Music in the early '00s, Clark dropped out to pursue real-world musical experience, joining the Polyphonic Spree for their European tour. In 2006, she left the band to join Sufjan Steven's touring band, beginning to record as St. Vincent the same year. Her 2007 debut album  Marry Me received praise for its intricate arrangements and unexpected compositional twists, paving the way for the success of 2009 sophomore effort Actor, a Top 10 hit on Billboard's Independent Albums Chart. With the early-2014 release of her fifth album, Clark once again drew unilateral praise from critics, cracking the Top 20 of the Billboard 200 and embarking on an international headlining tour.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

" Even better live than on her albums, St. Vincent lit up the Fox. It was an awesome mashup reminiscent of Bowie, Mercury and Gaga. I loved it, and will be back for more."

"Gorgeous songs, surprising choreography, enchanted excitement. I urge anyone who loves sophisticated pop to see this show."

"Yes, yes, yes, and yes! Great playing, awesome sound, killer production aesthetics and an overall great SHOW. St. Vincent and her band are kicking butt and taking names."

  • She’s a great performer/entertainer

by M. Crabtree on 8/19/24Greek Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 4 out of 5

St. Vincent was great and played for a long time, but there was over a 45 minute gap between her and the previous act, which was extremely annoying.

  • Free tix to the Greek, how can you miss?

by Jerry H on 8/19/24Greek Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 1 out of 5

I had to leave the show. Sorry, I tried, gave her about 7 songs...just not for me. Oh well, we are all different, I'm sure you would not like all my groups. Peace out✌️

  • Unparalleled emotional intensity!

by Nhbrownlaw on 8/19/24Greek Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

St. Vincent’s Greek Theater show was a master class in emotional performance! While I was concerned that her new album “All Born Screaming” was more down tempo than some of her previous work, the new songs were delivered with an honest emotional intensity that I have never seen in any other artist! The pacing and musicianship was top notch. An amazing show!

  • Great Venue for St Vincent

by Cutro on 8/19/24Greek Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

The Greek Theatre is such a great venue to see artist perform. Really good sound even in the Terrace area. St Vincent is such a good performer both with her music and what she does on stage. It was great to see her live and her music is amazing! The Terrace is a pretty nice spot for seats Row E, far left. Was near the side ledge so only 1 row we in front of us so had a great view. Sound was good there too. I liked the opening act, Maiah Manser, quite a bit. Let's see what the future will hold for her. The second opening act that shall be nameless, wasn't that good.

  • Awesome!

by Mama A on 8/19/24Greek Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

St. Vincent is mind blowing. What a talented artist. So refreshing to see a female rock a show like she did. Love, love, love.

  • Incredible energy and style

by BobF on 8/19/24Greek Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

On the recommendation of a friend I bought tickets for St Vincent at the Greek . The energy and staging was incredible . St Vincent is an amazing artist and performer . The staging, lighting, accompanying musicians and unrelenting passion and energy resonated through her very engaged audience. The Greek was a great venue : intimate but big enough to have a stadium feel .

  • Captivating Performer!

by Matt on 8/19/24Greek Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

St Vincent is one of the most unique and inventive artists in music today. I have seen her perform 8 times over the last 10 years, and each tour is presented in a fresh new way. Because of that I always look forward to seeing and hearing what she will do next. Keep rocking Annie!!

  • One of the best live performances I've seen!!!

by Jon R on 8/19/24Greek Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

I have seen St. Vincent live every chance I get since I first saw her perform in a tent at Coachella in 2006. Her performances just keep getting better and better, as does her songwriting. Deeply personal, theatrical, visceral, feral, powerful, enthralling... all these words come to mind thinking of her show. The band was supremely talented and tight, with Jason Faulkner on guitar, Charlotte Kemp Muhl on bass, Rachel Eckroth on keys, and Mark Guiliana on drums. Annie aka St Vincent absolutely shredded and staggered and stalked around the stage and even surfed the crowd in the pit at one point. Undoubtedly among the best live performances I've ever seen and one of the top live performing musicians right now bar none.

  • St. Vincent is Incredible

by Steveareno on 8/19/24Greek Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

This was my first time seeing St. Vincent live. Annie Clark is such a talented person. The entire band was top notch. All the band members, especially Annie, put 100% into the show. They played for almost an hour and a half, which was awesome. I would highly recommend seeing St. Vincent if you ever have the chance. Thank you Annie Clark for sharing your talent with all of us. You are very special.

  • Phenomenal

by Bre on 8/19/24Greek Theatre - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

It was slay, the openers were great. Annie was awesome and put on quite a show! As for the venue, it was quick parking and finding our seats, I like that merch was at the entrance. I can’t wait for the next time I get to see St Vincent! <3

  • Incredible

by Matthew on 8/16/24Knitting Factory - Boise - BoiseRating: 5 out of 5

The show was amazing. I went in not knowing what to expect and St. Vincent delivered above and beyond any expectations. Her band was fantastic, they all sounded great, and she is a top notch entertainer. This was a small venue, and she played as if she sold out Madison Square Garden.

  • Best Show in 3 years.

    by Matt T. on 8/16/24Knitting Factory - Boise - BoiseRating: 5 out of 5

I’m blown away. 3rd time I’ve seen St. Vincent. She gets better every time. The show was amazing start to finish. I knew every word to every song. Took my niece and even she loved it.

St Vincent was one of the best live performances i’ve ever seen. Her stage presence is sexy, fun, endearing, and completely bewitching. Her voice is unmatched and her musical skills are beyond what I could have ever expected. Would absolutely love to see her again and would recommend to anyone!

  • Shredded

by FanofAnnie on 8/14/24Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

The concert in Vancouver was outstanding. St. Vincent and the band rocked so hard. Super fun to hear some of her songs with that harder sound. Loved the ones from Strange Mercy.

  • Fabulous Show!

by Trish on 8/12/24Hayden Homes Amphitheater - BendRating: 5 out of 5

I always love seeing Spoon and they were great per usual, but St. Vincent's performance was outstanding - I highly recommend seeing her live show!

  • Great Performance

by Seafirth on 8/11/24Hayden Homes Amphitheater - BendRating: 5 out of 5

St. Vincent was great at their Bend, Oregon concert.

  • St Vincent Slays

by Nick Trash on 5/31/24The Masonic - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

St Vincent and every member of her band were absolutely incredible. Blew the doors off the joint, massive energy, wildly technical and aggressively danceable, couldn't recommend enough. 10 Goldblums out of 10 Goldblums for sure
