About

Squeeze, led by the songwriting duo of Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook, produced some of the catchiest songs from the ‘70s British new wave scene. The band’s 1978 self-titled debut and follow-up albums Cool for Cats (1979) and Argybargy (1980) produced a number of hits in the U.K., with a few receiving airplay on U.S. college radio, including “Take Me I'm Yours,” “Up the Junction” and the bouncy “Pulling Mussels (From the Shell).” In 1981, Squeeze released their fourth studio album East Side Story, featuring “Tempted.” The song went on to become one of the band’s most famous songs. It has been featured in movies, TV shows, video games and commercials.

  • Fantastic band — still sounds great!

by CAT on 9/18/24Mohegan Sun Arena - UncasvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Squeeze had fantastic musicians and a very large band. They still sound great and did all the old favorites and a couple of new songs. They payed 80 minutes which is a little short but they were on first before Boy George.

  • SPECTACULAR

by MamaMoe on 9/18/24Boch Center Wang Theatre - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

First off, Boy George was AMAZING. So much fun, great setlist, voice strong as ever, had fun with the band and with the crowd. Squeeze was OUTRAGEOUS. Came out with amps a'blazin! Full throttle from the get go in tempo, songs, voices! Every musician was SO into the show having fun, solos were absolutely sick. The show blew me away from start to finish! Cheers and Thanks!!!

  • Squeeze!

by AnnaB on 9/18/24Mohegan Sun Arena - UncasvilleRating: 4 out of 5

My husband and I have always loved Squeeze and he even sings several of their songs when he performs solo or with his trio. We were not disappointed by their performance- still great musicians and the vocals were excellent. The song selection reflected their greatest hits and more. We were surprised by the order of the show since we thought Boy George was the opening act. We enjoyed his set as well, but were really there for Squeeze. My review was not rated 5 stars because of venue issues. We were on the floor and many people were still being seated well into the performance. This meant ushers and guests were very distracting to the performance since they kept walking in front of us.

  • Great concert and Venue

by Christine on 9/18/24Mohegan Sun Arena - UncasvilleRating: 5 out of 5

I went to the Squeeze and Boy George concert at Mohegan Sun Arena this past Sunday. Great venue, great seating. The concert was amazing. Tickets were priced well also and I did the reservation parking, which was wonderful and a short walk into the Casino/Arena

Squeeze was wonderful! They sounded tight and strong! All my favorite tunes were played and some new tunes that were great! The boys looked awesome and sounded terrific! I had a blast! I wish I had the bread to go on tour with them! Carrie

I was totally pleased with Squeeze's performance. They were outstanding! I especially loved the fact that they are very talented artists in different instruments. I definitely would go to see them again.

  • Squeeze Excellent

by Bigal on 9/18/24Mohegan Sun Arena - UncasvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Squeeze was amazing at Mohegan Sun. They were so tight and fun. What's also incredible is the fact that they're not afraid to reimagine a song, changing the beat, feel or arrangement. They are truly one of the very best bands in the last 50 years. Also, purchasing tickets from Ticket master was as smooth as silk! Thanks!

  • Boy George was AMAZING!

by Racergal on 9/18/24Mohegan Sun Arena - UncasvilleRating: 5 out of 5

This was a bucket list concert for me. Love Boy George and he did not disappoint! Funny, charming interludes and powerful singing! The Squeeze segment was a bit long and a bit hard to hear the lyrics (so I could become more familiar with their music later) but the whole event was great! Please have Boy George back again soon! I’m definitely coming back!!!

  • Great show!

Was pleasantly surprised by this band, better than Boy George. Excellent sound and music.

  • SQUEEZE FIRST

by KB on 9/17/24Tropicana Showroom at Tropicana Atlantic City - Atlantic CityRating: 1 out of 5

Don't know why the headliner, Squeeze, came on first. It was pure luck we were there on time. Why was Boy George, was not playing first? This should have been advertised. Had I missed Squeeze I would have been furious.

  • coudn't see

too many people were standing during there performance

  • Boy George Squeeze

by Rich on 9/17/24Tropicana Showroom at Tropicana Atlantic City - Atlantic CityRating: 4 out of 5

I was surprised that Squeeze was the opening act. I've seen Squeeze many times. They always do a great show. The sound was a little muddy. Curse of opening bands not getting the last soundcheck. Boy George was in great voice. Oddly the most familiar songs were done in the first half of the show. Purple Rain as an encore? Still enjoyable night. Tropicana is my favorite AC site.

  • The funnest!

by onmyR3 on 9/17/24Boch Center Wang Theatre - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

I last saw them at Franklin and Marshall College in April of 1987. The set list was varied but included virtually all of the "Singles". I can't dance but jumped up and down for virtually all of it and screamed my head off. The band was so strong, especially the keyboard player. It was beyond belief. I can't wait for their new album. Tear for Fears and OMD showed you can still release GREAT music well into your career.

  • Fantastic!!!!

by Muziklvr on 9/17/24Tropicana Showroom at Tropicana Atlantic City - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

Squeeze was AWESOME!!! They sound just as good as when I saw them about 37 years ago. The Tropicana Showroom is an excellent venue. Not a bad seat. Acoustics are great. Highly recommend seeing a show at the Tropicana.

  • Squeeze Is Phenomenal

by screamer on 9/17/24Tropicana Showroom at Tropicana Atlantic City - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

Squeeze is fabulous! So great to see them on their 50th anniversary tour. I’d already seen them twice this year—at the Royal Albert Hall in London opening for The Who and at Glastonbury. I’m seeing them again tonight in Central Park. They sound sharp and give their all. Don’t miss them!

  • Squeeze was fabulous

  • Better than expected

by New2Me on 9/17/24Tropicana Showroom at Tropicana Atlantic City - Atlantic CityRating: 4 out of 5

Apparently I'm one of the few who are not familiar with this group. I knew one song - Tempted. Don't even know all the words to it! The band though was pretty good. I see why they have such a large fan base!

  • Squeeze/ Boy George

by Bett on 9/17/24Tropicana Showroom at Tropicana Atlantic City - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

Loved seeing Squeeze. Wish they had played a little longer. Didn’t stay for Boy George. Sound was great.
