Squeeze, led by the songwriting duo of Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook, produced some of the catchiest songs from the ‘70s British new wave scene. The band’s 1978 self-titled debut and follow-up albums Cool for Cats (1979) and Argybargy (1980) produced a number of hits in the U.K., with a few receiving airplay on U.S. college radio, including “Take Me I'm Yours,” “Up the Junction” and the bouncy “Pulling Mussels (From the Shell).” In 1981, Squeeze released their fourth studio album East Side Story, featuring “Tempted.” The song went on to become one of the band’s most famous songs. It has been featured in movies, TV shows, video games and commercials.

This show killed it. To have these two bands playing together made the perfect evening. It was a sing a long from start to finish.
We mainly went to see the Furs and thought that squeeze was a bonus but after that performance we were sold. My wife didn't know what songs that Squeeze played on the radio. As we drove home she said I remember all those songs and loved the concert, they were so entertaining. Let's just say we have a renewed respect and love for the band and their music.
This night was amazing, the artists played the entire time and put on a fantastic show. I was genuinely surprised at how great the band sounded. The Cadence Bank Amphitheater is such a wonderful venue for shows like this, open air, almost intimate and the sound and lighting is always on point. I love coming to Chastain for concerts.
Squeeze was AMAZING! They are just as awesome as they were in the 80’s. The venue was gorgeous and we had a fabulous time!❤️
The new scanners are great. The seats are roomy. The sound is great. During the opening act went to get a drink. After waiting for 20 minutes I got out line and went back to my seat. Is it time to update those monitors. What are they 50” standard def?
It's the first time I've seen Squeeze, and man they can jam.
Bands were awesome and sounded great. Weather and venue were great. Only negative is expensive alcohol.
What a fun show! They sounded great and we had a wonderful time!
We were really impressed and pleased with how good both bands performed. It was a great evening of fantastic performances! They each sounded fresh, and after all these years proved once again how truly talented they are as musicians and performers. The venue (Cadence Bank Amphitheater) has seen better days and could use a bit of a refresh. Nearby Ameris Bank Amphitheater might have been a better choice for their tour.
Live Nation gives you one price for your ticket choice, then only after you pay do you get a receipt that shows they tack on enough random charges that your ticket price is doubled but you’ve already paid so there is nothing you can do about getting ripped off.
If you want to see two great bands who are true pros and can still rock - go see this show!
I mainly went to see the Psychedelic Furs, and would love it if they headlined a tour SOON. I discovered them when Forever Now came out and have been a huge fan since. Would love to hear them play more songs from their very first album, and just more songs in general. That said, Squeeze was great, too. I wasn't really a fan when I first heard them, because I tended to like edgier music in the '80s, but they've grown on me recently. Except for the song, "Cool for Cats,"yikes. I'm a Native American woman, and those lyrics with the S word are horrible. I wasn't looking forward to it being played at the concert at all. Turns out, they seemed to fuzz out those lyrics so they were unintelligible, so was glad about that. Maybe next time they can be the opener for the Psychedelic Furs!
We attend a lot of concerts, have seen Squeeze several times, and they've been great. They are one of my wife's favorite bands. The volume was MUCH too loud. They sounded muddy and distorted. We left early.
Great show at the Met. If you aven't been there, it's a great venue and not a bad seat. Psychodelic Furs and Squeeze were both awesome. Danced the whole time!
Squeeze’s Tilbrook is legendary. He exudes joy with every vocal and riff. If you have never experienced a live show, you may not understand how great the band really is.
Squeeze and Psychedelic Furs were amazing. The show was fantastic and they played and sounded wonderful. Brought me back to the carefree days of the 80s. The Met is a great, intimate, beautiful venue. So much fun!
I'm a huge fan of Squeeze and the show I attended on Wednesday, September 13th also happened to be the 13th time I've seen them in concert. I was a little concerned before the show because the last time I saw them, two years ago, Glenn Tilbrook was not in good voice ( something he admitted during the show) My worries were put to rest as Glenn sounded great and from the first notes of "Take Me I'm Yours"til the end of the last song, "Black Coffee In Bed"they were engaged and entertaining. They smoothly transitioned from each song to the next and each person onstage appeared to be enjoying their performance. Of the times I've seen them, I would rate this show as the second or third best performance. The venue was beautiful, a wonderful place to see a show!
Such a amazing show. Grateful for another opportunity to see these two great 80’s bands. The Furs and Squeeze haven’t missed a beat!
The venue was very quaint not a bad seat in the house. The only lacking is the total lack of convenience in the way of parking. The experience at The Met Philadelphia could be improved with a better parking plan surrounding the venue
A great concert of an underrated band in a beautiful room. A shower of their hits to finish the set at a hundred miles an hour, the musical precision and strength of melodies that have not aged a day and the soli of Glenn Tilbrook... From "Annie get your gun"to "Temped"via "Up the Junction"and "Pulling mussels from the shell" Clo and me, we came from France for a very special moment in the outstanding Philly. No deception !!!
