This show exceeded all expectations. Great set list, great venue, and the band was exceptional. And best of all, the acoustics and sound engineering in the theater was top notch. This was a five star show in every way!
On Thursday, April 6th, I saw Spirogyra at the Vogel in Red Bank. The Vogel is the perfect venue to see music in. It is a moderate sized venue with great sound. The band put on a great show. They started right on time and played straight through. They played all their old hits and several of their newer songs. I wasn't familiar with their newer songs, but they sounded pretty good! All the band members were fantastic, but the bass player really stood out.
Flew in from Omaha, took a bus into NYC, caught a train to Red Bank, NJ. Walked to the venue, very nice community and theatre.
Spyro Gyro was wonderful. As good as, if not better than, when we first saw them more than 40 years ago. However, we hated the venue (The Vogel in Red Bank NJ). The folding chairs were uncomfortable and the sight lines poor. Don’t understand why they need tables. Serve no real purpose except to make a tight room tighter.
Outstanding show! After all these years Spyro Gyra is still at the top of their game.
Have seen Spyro many times over the last 40 years and they never disappoint great live versions of there classics and some new songs hope to see them next year to celebrate there 50th years ! They are true road warriors
The theater was excellent. The workers were very friendly and helpful
this group’s music is ageless they’ve been around since the 70’s still tight and in sync Jay Beckenstein is a legend
I have to say, the band is easily one of my favorite bands, and I loved everything they played. But this venue is easily one of the best I have attended for this type of event. The entire complex is amazing, but the staff in this one were beyond fabulous...
Saxophonist was incredible. Was able to play two instruments at once! A+ Everyone else was a B+ to A level. All around, probably one of the most talented bands currently touring. Hopefully, fans will continue to support them and they will continue to tour.
Great venue(and the sound was good). Band did a good job(although I miss the original had percussion and more Caribbean sound)
I have been a follower of Spyro Gyra since "The Shaker Song." I have not only loved their music through the years, but I love to see them in concert, with such an amazing array of talent. After all these years, it is wonderful to see that Jay Beckenstein and his merry band of musicians haven't lost a single note. As always, I truly enjoyed listening to their music and reminiscing over the joy that they have brought me over the years. Will come back to see these guys anytime.
Spyro Gyra played well but the venue is not the best for their big sound. We thought the mix was too heavy toward the drums. We sat in section 2 which was ok.
The second time I've seen Spyro Gyra in a year's time. Another superb concert in a small intimate venue. They sounded great and each band member was highlighted. Of course, Jay Beckenstein is saxophonist extraordinaire.
I love the intimate feeling of Ludlow Garage. I brought a friend of mine to the concert. She had never heard of Spyro Gyra. We both LOVED the show.
Flat out FIRE!!! every musician was on point!!! I thought I was watching CAMEO back in the day!!! very funky and jazzy!!! Great concert!!!0🎶🎶🎶
Spyro Gyra rocked it. Loved the new tunes. And of course, their hits!
Amazing performance!!!! Love Jimmy’s Jazz Club. Spyro Gyra was definitely in my top 5!!!
Great talent. Enjoyed the venue. This time we had seats where we could see the stage.
