Hahahahahahahahaha lollollollollol hahahahahahahahahahaha
Super funny! Well worth it! A good interpretation of the movie
One of my favorite movies from my college days is an even funnier live Broadway musical!
This is a funny musical, but it pales in comparison to another spoof—Something Rotten. The characters are lovable and endearing, but the storyline lacked tightness. Obviously, it’s supposed to be silly, but the plot doesn’t have to suffer for the laughs. Go see it, but if you’ve seen Something Rotten, don’t expect that level of hilarity.
We saw Spamalot a few years ago and thought it was great. This production didn't hold a candle to the earlier one. We were sorry we didn't leave during the intermission.
Four couples went to see Spamalot and all 4 couples greatly enjoyed it! We love going to the beautiful Tennessee Theater and if it's going to be a musical, there has to be humor for my husband to enjoy it. Well, he loved it!
The Tennessee theatre is just a breathtaking venue. And Spamlot was wonderful. Just go and enjoy!
For years we Monty Python fans could spot each other by the sound of coconuts, silly walks and discussions of the weight bearing capacities of swallows. In Spamalot, we get to revel in all that Pythonesque glory with an audience than spans generations! Why, I even sat next to the most beautiful Tim and her shy killer rabbit! The staging was wonderful and the actors were top notch. Love our Diva! Sir Robin and Patsy were the standouts for me. Having the live orchestra was key as well. Overall a thoroughly satisfying evening! And of course that lovely earworm, "Always Look on the Bright side of Life" stays with you long after the curtain goes down.
We have seen Spamalot in NYC, and this show was every bit as well produced as the Broadway version! Great cast and great orchestra. The Tennessee Theatre is absolutely beautiful also.
I enjoyed it very much. It was as funny as the movies. It had my favorite parts of the movie in it
Had all the highlights of Monty Python with a few extra touches. Tightly performed in a lovely venue.
I went alone to this show. In my opinion I have the best seat in the house. It was a single seat in the corner. The performers were at the top of their game saturday. The ushers were really nice. It was just a magical night all around. But, most of my experiences at the Tennessee Theater are magical.
The cast of Toby's did a magnificent job adapting Spamalot for the smaller stage. The only scene that seemed to suffer slightly from space limitations was the Camelot sequence... and given our seats in the back corner, we didn't have the best angle to enjoy the French taunting and Killer Rabbit gags. But those nits aside, the comedic timing was always pitch perfect and the laughs flowed freely like the Holy Grail Ale! Regarding the vocal performances, they were stellar all around. Honestly, the Lady of the Lake's "scatting" attempts were somewhat jarring, but one can't detract too much from such a natural talent... especially when she NAILED numbers like "Whatever Happened To My Part?" Our entire party had a blast, even those not previously indoctrinated to the Python canon. I would recommend the Toby's experience to anybody. FANTASTIC menu, too! The Sir Loin of Loaf may have been the best meatloaf I've ever tasted!
The food was pretty good and the show was fabulous--I was laughing so hard the entire time, along with the rest of the house. Great job by the performers, both onstage and in regards to food service (thanks Jay!)
the show was just fabulous!!!!! It was so funny and entertaining
Fantastic performance. Great staff. Definitely recommend Toby's Dinner Theatre
Toby's does a great job with comedies. Spamalot was great fun. For the small stage area, they choreographed the whole cast so very well. It was witty, funny, the actors really got into their parts (especially David J doing the French Taunter - brilliant like Steve Martin!), the music was fun, the effects were good, the costumes were terrific. We laughed through the whole musical.
The actors pulled it off magnificently. The only thing that would have made it better is if they had included the skit on spam.
After seeing Spamalot on Broadway and Vegas, this was a big let down.
