  • Southern Culture was fun and the music was awesome

by TheeBone on 9/19/10Rhythm Room - PhoenixRating: 5 out of 5

I had never been to see one of their shows and my wife had been a fan of theirs for years. On a whim, after hearing some people at another table talking in a restaurant talking about them, I learned they were coming to town and decided to surprise my wife. The venue was great and very cozy with only about 400 people or so in the whole club. They played almost everything my wife could remember and we had a time dancing and watching them play right in front of us. I grew up a midwestern Yankee but Southern Culture on the Skids is in my blook forever.

As always - guitar solos, song selection was just outstanding! 8x10 is a very intimate setting.

  • They're Great!!!!

by Costello on 10/15/09Diesel Club Lounge - PittsburghRating: 5 out of 5

I've never seen a bad performance from these great performers and musicians. Love Rick's guitar playing and Mary's voice! Glad to see them in Pittsburgh again - but a larger venue is needed. They have too much great sound for a small place. Looking forward to the next time they are in town - can't wait to see them again!

  • S.C.O.T.S......awesome as always!

by lbrddog on 9/28/09Granada - LawrenceRating: 5 out of 5

First of all I have to say that SCOTS selected an great opening act Dirtfoot! I was wondering what we were in for.....but it turns out we were in for a treat. They were a great fun band and a total compliment to SCOTS! This is the second time for me to see the band. The first time I saw them perform was in Florida @ Skipper's for New Year's Eve 2006. They are so much fun every time they perform. Great musicians too......Rick kills the guitar! I brought three of my friend who had never heard of SCOTS before.....and now they are hooked! Awesome!

Fantastic. Over 2 hours onstage. Tight and extremely entertaining. Best show I've seen in years. An American treasure. DON'T MISS THIS BAND IF THEY COME CLOSE!! We drove 3 hours to see them, was well worth it.
