  • Loved every minute

by Jeremy on 5/3/25The Capitol Theatre - Port ChesterRating: 5 out of 5

So glad that they got back together for this tour, it was one of my life's great regrets that I never got to see them before breaking up at the end of the 90's. The playlist was great, every song was perfect, everything I could have hoped for.

I'm sad that It was the last show of the tour, I hope they come back soon!

  • Soul Coughing was excellent!

by Rich F. on 4/29/25The Capitol Theatre - Port ChesterRating: 4 out of 5

Soul Coughing was excellent! Great set, and the crowd was super chill as usual. The sound in the venue wasn't the best, but overall we had an amazing time!

  • Soul Coughing Hasn't Missed a Beat

by Supra Genius on 4/29/25The Capitol Theatre - Port ChesterRating: 5 out of 5

Despite being broken up for 20+ years, Soul Coughing sounded tight, like they've been touring for years. It's probably a testament to the unbelievable talent of each individual member who, as a whole, electrified the crowd at the Cap. I could listen to them play tracks from their 3 studio albums forever and after they've been apart for so long I'd be fascinated to see what new music might sound like.

  • You get the ankles and I’ll get the wrists

by Rob C. on 4/29/25The Capitol Theatre - Port ChesterRating: 5 out of 5

This - my first (!) - visit to the Cap was memorable. Mike and the band sounded just like I remember them from 30 years ago. So fun. Such an amazing venue - the wallpaper! Worth the wait.

  • Soul Coughing better than ever!

by Ren on 4/27/25History - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

It’s been almost 30 years since I last saw the boys in Soul Coughing on stage together. I rocked my 98 El Oso tour shirt and all the nostalgia came flooding back! I’ve seen Mike Doughty solo many times but having them all together on stage was surreal. They were so polished and tight and Mike did not disappoint with his banter… from apologizing for the leader of the USA to talking about the fake last song which leads into the actual last songs. I can only hope they will actually put out a few new tracks or at least a full live album and tour together again. LONG LIVE SOUL COUGHING!!!

    by G-bo on 4/27/25History - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Excellent show. Exactly what you'd want after waiting 20+ years to see Soul Coughing live. You'll laugh and cry and learn how to count by 5.

  • Indie Spirit Never Dies

by Baduno on 4/21/25White Oak Music Hall - Downstairs - HoustonRating: 4 out of 5

The concert could be 5 star, but either the mixing, or the speaker setup, or the acoustics or a combination of them was a bit off and you hardly could hear and thus understand most of their lyrics. I don't think it bothered the most of the devout audience, but for a newcomer, it was a loss in audial communication. I found out about this band quite late, and if I didn't buy their records, I would have had even a harder time as I had. Especially, because the frontman is a poet and what he says and sings is important, crucial. Otherwise it was a nice experience. Hey, guys from the venue, figure out how to make it better. I'd like to come back.
