Sona is remarkable - her storytelling is engaging, her speaking voice is soooo soooooothing, and the artists in her band are fun, talented and clearly enjoying themselves thoroughly. Sona is such an inspiration and I applaud her for speaking her truth from her space on stage.
Sona is a complex person. Her music reflects this. I had not heard anything about her prior to purchasing the tickets. Global Arts always has great performers so I was not that concerned. I will look for her future performances and hope to get tickets.
This woman is a phenom. I cannot say enough good things about her as an artist and a person. What a night!

This has got to be the greatest show on Earth! I went to musical Heaven and came back. Kudos to the very talented Ms. Jobarteh and her band. She is doing Africa proud, and we are "loving it." Barka!
