So You Think You Can Dance Live! on Tour
As the name implies, the ‘So You Think You Can Dance' Live! tour is an extension of the long-running Fox TV series. Each year, top contestants from the show's most recent season go on the road and perform in front of live audiences. At these gigs, ‘SYTYCD' fans can expect the usual mix of inventive, high-quality choreography and solo and group spotlights. The format of the tour allows dancers to stretch out physically and emotionally, and to show off their unique personalities, which makes the night a resonant one. For the 2018 tour, the Top 10 finalists from Season 15 — including winner Hannahlei Cabanilla, a contemporary dance enthusiast from Orange County, California, and season runner-up Jensen Arnold — are hitting the road to show off their best moves, under the choreographic guidance of the Emmy-winning Mandy Moore.
About So You Think You Can Dance Live! Tour
Just as ‘American Idol' and ‘The Voice' have helped aspiring musicians launch a career, the judged competition ‘So You Think You Can Dance' has done the same for dancers. Contestants from the show, which premiered in 2005, have gone on to become professional actors and actresses, choreographers, and backup dancers for pop stars. ‘SYTYCD' itself has also become known for its innovative dance routines to popular music, and is a perennial Primetime Emmy winner, particularly in the Outstanding Choreography category.
The show's sterling track record is a testament to the stunning pool of talent on display during each season. ‘SYTYCD' doubles as a spotlight showcase for promising dancers specializing in various styles (hip-hop, jazz, contemporary), who then show off their best moves via group, pair, and individual dance performances. Each week, judges whittle down the field of competitors, before crowning one person the winner. After the season ends, the ‘So You Think You Can Dance' Live! tour gives top contestants a chance to strut their stuff in real life, up close and personal in front of the show's many, many fans.
This is my 4th season to see the live show of SYTYCD and of course I am once again blown away. The perfection in the performance is outstanding. Loved the venue and my seats. I wouldn't miss this show.
Great production and staging. The dancers were excellent and full of energy. They definately danced all of the favorite routines from the season. Their scripted banter in between dance routines was mostly lame (not the dancers fault:). A real treat to see them dancing live.
The show was amazing - so much fun! All of the dancers were incredible. I have never been to a concert or performance that had the level of enthusium the audience had.
This is the most entertaining show around. Not only are the dancers trememdous when they perform, but they have a natural, relaxed talent for interacting with the audience. The jokes, introductions, etc. are fresh and genuine. It's like they've been acting forever. This is the third year we've seen the performance, and each year never disappoints. SYTYCD is an opportunity for undiscovered talent to emerge, and each year it provides that to the outstanding top 10 (or 12) who get to showcase their talents, when they may have gone undiscovered otherwise. They deserve to be where they are, they are amazing.
This show was great - we went on opening night and it was great! The venue was great too - easy to find parking, easy to get in and out of too. I love these kids!
I went to SYTYCD season 4 tour in Boston last year and had a lot of fun. This year it just seemed even better. The show seemed longer and the dancers were amazing. They really put on a show for the crowd.
Great show! They performed all their dances. I loved that Philip and Kaitlin were included. I love Bollywood. Their continue making fun of the Russian folk dance was funny. They all were great and it was entertaining from beginning to end!!!!!!!
The So You Think You Can Dance live show was amazing! Absolutely incredible! Would recommend anyone seeing the show live....it's a thousand times better live!! We even got to meet ALL the dancers and got autographs and pics with each of the top 12 dancers!!

This was a really great show. As always the dancers do a wonderful job. They are so amazing to watch. They give their 100% plus.
So You Think You Can Dance was fantastic!!! The dancers were fabulous! Each and everyone of them definitely knows there craft. Each one of there dances told a story through there dance. They told a story about love, heartbreak, addiction and breast cancer. Every person in the audience could relate to everyone of those dances. Each dancer danced to perfection. Hats off to all of them !!
First of all the sound system was much, much, much, too loud, unnecessarily loud. The performers were great but I thought I would be seeing some new choreography instead of a review of the show which I just finished watching.
Dancing was excellent but the interactions between dancers when talking were a little too scripted. It seemed like they did every dance from the season - way too much - and it ran so long I wasn't left wanting more I was left wishing it had ended a half hour earlier. Overall enjoyed it though
The show itself was great. The seats we had didn't allow us to hear the dancers talking and introducing the dances and routines. The speakers were not facing us and the videos were not clear, therefore I would never get tickets on the side again. The performance itself was excellent.
The concert was pretty good but if the dancers were allowed more time to practice before then there wouldnt have been as many mistakes. Other than that it was totally awsome! I wish they had done the rave group number too though.Go Janette!
My children and I had been waiting for the opportunity to see the show since we moved to the USA in June 2009. We logged on to buy tickets on the date they said they would be available only to find out there was an internet presale the day before. At any rate 5 minutes after the box office opened we were given our seats which were in the upper bowl to the side of the stage (not the cheapest seats). I drove 1.5 hours with two excited children only to find out we couldn't see the dances very well as we were only looking at the side. Things were made even worse when the dancers started to talk as we could not hear a thing. It was just loud noise. The same thing happened to many of the songs as well. It was so bad that that my 7 year old daughter got a headache and we had to leave. The dancers were great as they were all season but I regretted going to the Live Tour. I wouldn't bother going again unless I had floor seats. Check your tickets as you may want to bring tylenol!!!!!
My daughter and I went last year and again this year. They really put on an entertaining show and are extremely talented. Love how they have a cute theme that runs throughout the show (like last year). Very cute! So worth it ... especially if you are a SYTYCD fan like we are.
We saw the first show in Manchester, NH. Not only was the dancing fabulous but the show itself was very well done. A good mix of couples, group, individuals and commentary. The dancing itself was such a step up from the show. You could really tell how much effort had been put into perfecting the dances. Would highly recommend seeing this.
The show at the Verizon Arena in Manchester was fantastic. The talented cast all deserved to be there and put on a wonderful display of all the favorite dances from Season 5. Even if they were nervous, you couldn't tell!! They were flawless!!!
What a shame! The performers were just what we hoped....outstanding, but the sound quality was horrific! Depending on where you were sitting, the running dialogue which accents the incredible dancing was so distorted that it was almost incomprehensible. We were so excited for a repeat of the high quality of last year's tour but were devastated by the sound issues. Hopefully, whomever is running the show can work out this MAJOR problem before too many cities are left wanting. The cast of dancers is phenomenal!
