  • Freakin Awesome

by Maddog on 8/20/25Ludlow Garage Cincinnati - CincinnatiRating: 5 out of 5

Absolutely astounding show. For the money one of the best I’ve seen. Band was very personable with great interaction between themselves and the audience. Jim showed mastery on the guitar. And John Cowsil had tons of energy and was a great entertainer. Band hung around after show to meet fans and sign things. Great sound. Must see and will go again for sure if they tour again.

Small venue but great crowd and great band. Been a huge fan since 1986. Definitely want to see them again!

  • Excellent

If I could ask for anything more is that it was louder. Yes, that's a uncommon statement. Both band's mix and sound was great. I just would've liked it louder. The venue was great! I will go again as acts appear there.

  • Great Night with the Smithereens!

Nice intimate venue, not a bad seat in the house. The Smithereens sounded great, rocked out their hits from back in the day! Overall a great experience, hot band, great venue, very fun night.

  • Smithereens Still Putting On An Excellent Show

by Biglehart on 4/28/25George Van Dusen Theatre at North Shore Center - SkokieRating: 5 out of 5

Excellent show spanning a ton of their songs, with some time for heartfelt reminiscences in between. Their love of performing, and true appreciation of the (very pleased) crowd really was apparent, We're very glad we made it out to see them. My only regret is that - while everything they played was great - a few of my faves didn't make it onto the setlist. The downsides of having a bunch of great albums...

  • Awesome show!

So many things about this show exceeded my expectations. First, once we walked into the venue we learned that John Cowsill was sick and that Robin Wilson from Gin Blossoms was flying in to take over lead vocal duties. He delivered an exceptional show! Second, it was so cool that Jim Babjack of the band was in the lobby to meet, greet and talk to any and all fans before the show. So cool! Apparently the band also was going to meet fans in the lobby after the show, but we didn’t stick around for that unfortunately (had nothing to sign and no Sharpie!). The concert was spot on and Smithereens rocked! Loved their appreciation for WXRT from their early days. Heard some songs that I completely had forgotten about. Such an awesome evening! Thanks, guys!

Excellent show,Robin Wilson did a fabulous job on vocals.Venue was intimate, great sound system and easy access to everything. Another plus was that you did not have to pay for parking. It was my first concert at this Casino and would definitely attend other shows here.

Such good rock and roll. Very humble and appreciative band. Robin Wilson did a fabulous job of filling the lead vocals.

  • Great show!

It was a shame the original bass player was unable to make it, but the guy that played bass that night was great! Only problem was the soundman didn't have enough guitar in the mains. I sat on the right side of the stage (near the bass player) and had a hard time hearing the guitar players.
