About
"To be honest my vibe gets killed the most when I'm concentrating too much on what is around me and thinking too much about it all," Moore states. "I have the most fun when I let my inhibitions check out, right at that point things just start to happen."
It started to go well for Sonny when he filtered out the noise and distraction of his world as a solo artist and started mining the ephemeral moments he had been sharing with friends in clubs and parties across the city he calls home since his mid-teen years. The restless, urgent and kaleidoscopic sounds of EDM and bass music had spoken to him for the best part of a decade, one day he just started talking back.
"Making music is the same as DJing," he offers. "You continue along the path that leaves you most inspired. When you think too much you put limits on what is possible, the best parts are always instinctual rather than something too considered or planned out."

Skrillex was the best live show ever.
by Rageplant on 7/18/11Beaumont Club - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5I've been to a lot of shows, and by far skrillex was the most energetic and amazing show I've been to. The crowd was crazy and the music was the best.

This show was unreal. Great openers and skrillex absolutely killed it, would love to see him perform again.
Best concert of my life
by Sami084 on 7/17/11The Pageant - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5Honestly the best thing I have seen in a long time. Crazy drop and awesome beats, this concert was incredible. I would totally go see it again any day. Not disappointed what so ever.
skrillex was amazing!
by cocogoodies on 7/16/11Beaumont Club - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5This was my first concert and I was overly impressed. Everyone did an awesome job. Im so sad its over!! Skrillex is the god of music! Epic show!! I can't wait until he comes back next year. SKRILLEX!!!!! <3<3
Frighteningly amazing
by stevensenger on 7/15/11Beaumont Club - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5This show was incredible! Skrillex has an absurdly fine sense for how to run a show. Initially, I was a bit skeptical, as I had heard a rather rough live mix of his. However, I knew that I had to see him, to support him for his great music. It turns out that this was one of the best decisions I've made in awhile. It was very surprising to see how he started at a very high level of energy, and still managed to rev it up consistently throughout the set. The crowd got increasingly insane, and by the end, most of us were shirtless and completely soaked in sweat and water, both of which were flying around like mad. At the end, he did an encore spin of "Cinema", which blew everyone away even further. Please keep this guy going!
Unforgettable expirence
by Phong on 7/15/11Beaumont Club - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5Words cannot explain how much fun i had or how mind blowing it was, although the venue was kind of small, i would have been up at the front anyway. This concert was the highlight of my summer and waiting that extra 2 hours after the concert ended was totally worth the autograph and picture with Sonny. Simply put, best night of my life, cant wait to see him again in the fall!
Perfect if you like Saunas
by PartyRockerKC on 7/15/11Beaumont Club - Kansas CityRating: 4 out of 5Great music with zedd and porter and skrillex was unforgetable, the venue how ever did a horrible job of cooling the location, it was over 100 degrees easy inside, out side was packed during all the shows because it was cooler out there a nice and cool 80.... hope skrillex chooses the midland theatre next time he comes
Amazing show
by Brady1234 on 7/15/11Beaumont Club - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5I have been to the Beaumont club for over 40 shows and I have never heard them have a speaker blow. During the Skrillex show he rocked so hard that over the show he blew at least 2 speakers! Most people might be upset about that but I loved it. He rocked so hard.
Amazing
by Kcafo on 7/15/11Beaumont Club - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5This show was absolutely amazing, I have never had so much fun in my whole life. Not only did Skrillex get the crowd going but Porter Robinson and Zedd were both insane! I cannot wait until they come back it was worth every penny and then some!

Full of energy and sweat! Everyone had a good time and people were pretty polite! So much fun, danced my butt off.
The energy brought to te stage was undeniable
by GreenxBean on 7/15/11Beaumont Club - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5The show was amazing. Sonny Moore has an everlasting supply of energy and passion that sweeps the crowd and is almost hypnotizing. You couldn't help but want to reach out and touch sound. Opened by complimentary acts like Zedd, the show was powerful and artistic. I can't wait to see Skrillex again!
Good and Bad
by Anonymous on 7/15/11Beaumont Club - Kansas CityRating: 3 out of 5The three opening acts were borderline terrible and took FOREVER. Fortunately the club had a sizeable outdoor area with tables and a bar, so we could relax while we waited for better music. Skrillex himself was pretty awesome. Definitely glad I went. The Beaumont Club was pretty uncomfortable indoors. The area in front of the stage was really narrow, and as far as I could tell there was no AC and only two ceiling fans. I've never sweated so much at a concert, and the only source of water was $5 half-liter bottles. Most clubs provide water for free so, you know, people don't die of heat exhaustion. Bottom Line: Show up late. The openers aren't worth it. The Beaumont has its pros and cons. I really liked the outdoor area, but if the openers hadn't screwed around for so long then I wouldn't have been out there anyways. Uncomfortable dance floor.
Skrillex <3
by KyaputenAura on 7/15/11Beaumont Club - Kansas CityRating: 4 out of 5We got to the club at the point where the show had already started so we were able to pretty much walk right in. The line was really short. And really, since there was no seating you could go all over the floor and it didn't really matter where you were in line as long as you're ninja about positioning yourself in the crowd! This venue was HOOOOOOOOT though. BUCKETS OF SWEAT. I FELT DISGUSTING by the end of the night. I swear this place only had about 2 fans going the whole time and then one up on the stage for all the djs. I basically skipped watching the first few djs and sat outside on the picnic tables just because I wanted to remain as cool as I could before I'd be inside for a long period of time. Either way, it was beautiful. Sir Sonny was spot on. The crowd is always going to be filled with a few obnoxious people, but overall people were just so stoked to be there. Awesome show, would looooove to go again.
WUBWUBWUBWUBWUB
by JustDerb on 7/15/11Beaumont Club - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5Amazing venue with intense bass speakers. Tons of filthy drops and as always Skrillex is a man who carries himself with up most respect for his audience. Had a blast and I'm sure everyone there did too! Waiting to go to another concert of his again!
Best Ever
by Anonymous on 7/15/11Beaumont Club - Kansas CityRating: 5 out of 5Completely ridiculous. It was the dirtiest show I have ever been to. By the time Skrillex came on, the air was starting to get saturated with sweat and grime, by the end, everyone was completely drenched in everyone else's sweat. It was really loud, really crazy, and really chill at the same time.

This was an outstanding event! I'd love to see it come back to KC in the future
