About
"To be honest my vibe gets killed the most when I'm concentrating too much on what is around me and thinking too much about it all," Moore states. "I have the most fun when I let my inhibitions check out, right at that point things just start to happen."
It started to go well for Sonny when he filtered out the noise and distraction of his world as a solo artist and started mining the ephemeral moments he had been sharing with friends in clubs and parties across the city he calls home since his mid-teen years. The restless, urgent and kaleidoscopic sounds of EDM and bass music had spoken to him for the best part of a decade, one day he just started talking back.
"Making music is the same as DJing," he offers. "You continue along the path that leaves you most inspired. When you think too much you put limits on what is possible, the best parts are always instinctual rather than something too considered or planned out."

Suuuper Raaaad!
by TheCoolBreeze on 10/27/11WaMu Theater - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5Goood setup! Sound was amazing! Light show and stage background was siiiiick! Not a fan of $10 beers though. I got pretty hammed before entering the show and still spent $100 on beer for me and the lady.

Perfection
by LetTheBassDrop on 10/17/11State Theatre - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5There are literally no words to sum up the amazement this show consumed. I can say that it was an awesome experience that I will never forget, but still, without being there, you will never know. The bass was dirty and so heavy that it beat my heart for me. I would go back right now if i could. Rave on.
Skrillex Killed It!
by drewvy on 10/17/11State Theatre - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5Life-changing show...absolutely the best concert I've ever been to, just because I love Skrillex. He is so brilliant and his sounds are so hard at times and then filled with a good message of love and unity.
Skrillex and the kids!
by XenaWarriorPrincess on 10/16/11The National - RichmondRating: 5 out of 5I'm 30 and the 3rd oldest person at the concert. However, Skrillex and friends were awesome and I loved the venue. It was small (since I hate crowds this was great) and there was easy access to the alley to smoke in and I really loved that. I had a great time at this concert.
12th Planet and Skrillex blew my mind!
by Jenniferrperrine on 10/15/11State Theatre - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5This show was amazing, I bought tickets for this the minute they went on sale. My friends had seen Skrillex in Boston a few months ago and said it was great so I wanted to see for myself. I was just as impressed with 12th Planet as I was with Skrillex, they both put on a great show and the stage graphics used during Skrillex were fantastic! I was very impressed with the motion suit that Sonny Moore wore halfway through the show. This was one of the best shows I have been to!
BLOWN AWAY!!!
by Thecoochmon on 10/15/11Starland Ballroom - SayrevilleRating: 5 out of 5I NEVER do reviews but........, felt I had to for this show If at all possible see the Mothership tour!! I can honestly say u won't be dissapointed
- by Anonymous on 10/14/11State Theatre - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5
Despite being in a small venue, the sound and stage were set up almost perfectly. I was a little worried that the show was only scheduled for 30 minutes longer than when the main act started, but Skrillex played a full hour and a half. Definitely got my money's worth, would go again.
Face Meltingly Amazing
by Anonymous on 10/14/11State Theatre - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5Go to a show and experience it for yourself, beyond words is experience and that is where truth is. Trust me and go to a show.
Got your monies worth!!
by baseballmom95 on 10/14/11State Theatre - PortlandRating: 4 out of 5Drove 2 1/2 hours to get to the show but it was all worth it!! 3 opening acts before Skrillex- total show lasted over 4 hours!! The State Theatre in Portland Maine holds about 1500 people- it was a giant mosh pit!! General admission wasn't great because you had to fight for your spot the whole night- but it was still worth it!! If you go dress lite- you will never sweat so much in your whole life!!
Skrillex. Need I say more?
by DanElectro on 10/14/11State Theatre - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5There are no words, even 2 days later, that I can formulate that would begin to describe what I went through at this show. I don't think there ever will be... The bass shock wave that crushed and passed through me at the same time is unquestionably what I loved and now miss the most. Those who have experienced the wave will know of what I speak. To those who haven't been through it: I feel more sorry for you than you will ever know. Go to the Skrillex concert near you. Everything else afterwards will become trite.
OMF this was amazing
by Schwartz23 on 10/14/11State Theatre - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5OMG This was easily the greatest concert I have ever been to by far! I hope he comes back! I will pay almost any price.

Skrillex Review
by MikeD29 on 10/13/11Starland Ballroom - SayrevilleRating: 4 out of 5Very good show music wise, but it was VIOLENT because of the small venue, psychotic women roaming around.
