This production of Six was absolutely incredible! To see an all-female cast and band backing them is incredibly empowering. For 80 minutes this group sang, danced, and gave everything they have. It's a fun history lesson for those of us who really didn't understand the backgrounds of the six wives. I plan to go back to see it again - and again.
Great show great narrative music fantastic and fun. Performers was excellent
Great, high-energy show. Non-stop clever wordplay and hit-tastic songs all the way thru this 90 minute rocket ride of genre, style, substance, and glam! Highly recommend!
The staging and lighting really added to the experience of the soundtrack. I thought the vocals of the touring performers were equal to or even better than the Broadway cast. The 4 stars relates to the show's writing, not any execution. I also very much appreciated that they still required masks in the theater!
We saw it on Broadway and now in DC. It doesn’t not disappoint. We are going again closing weekend.
What a terrific show. Loved the music, loved the choreography, loved the costumes…AND loved the fact it was a show with all women. Want to go back again
This is a short performance...just 90 minutes in one act. The six women who perform have incredible energy and tons of singing and dancing talent. It is flashy and ties us to the era of the 1600's in our continued efforts for equal rights for women.
SIX was fabulous. Great music and I looked that the entire cast and even the on stage orchestra were all FEMALE!
These ladies left everything on the stage!!! 10/10!!!!
Those ladies sung and danced the whole time with no intermission! Even the music was played by ladies and the vocals were on point, harmony was over the top. Each of Henry the 8th’s wives “Sang” Y’all!!!I If you have some time, I suggest you get a ticket! If you like a production with music you won’t regret seeing SIX!!!
This was my daughter and I's first musical ever and we LOVED it. My daughter wanted to the show to be longer and she wanted to get on stage with the amazing and beautiful women. At the end my daughter, who is 9 by the way, wanted to mee the women, give them hugs and tell them how great they did. We would definitely recommend this show and go again.
We saw the touring company of SIX at the National Theatre in Washington, DC. It was awesome! What a great show. We were very familiar with the music; the production was phenomenal! The Theatre was intimate (we were in the mezzanine) and our seats were terrific! The cast was so energetic throughout the 1 hour and 18 minute production. I wanted more! You know its a great musical when you leave the theatre humming the tunes!
The performers were incredible, and this is a super beginner-friendly show! Funny, short, relaxed, and so fun. I would totally go again!
The 6-woman ensemble was outstanding. Very diverse cast. Great individually and collectively. Each had her own differently styled song which allowed her to shine. The 4-woman band also was excellent.
The most talented cast of Six there ever was. They were flawless pure awesomeness! Every one of them and the band were perfection and great energy. Forsberg’s solo put chills on my whole body and I cried at the end unexpectedly. Just WOW from start to finish. We LOVED this and would see it again!
The vocals and the acting are incredible!! Loved loved loved the show!!
My wife and I saw "Six" at the National Theatre in DC for our anniversary. Had seen some commercials and thought it would be fun, as my wife likes history and British royalty and all. Got good seats toward the front of the Mezzanine for an acceptable price, and it was fun! The show is not a traditional musical. While it shares some sensibilities with "Hamilton," it isn't the same kind of narrative arc. The title six are the wives of Henry VIII, reflecting together on their experiences by way of a pop song competition. This allows for a variety of musical styles and energy (as each queen is patterned after different pop divas) that make the show very entertaining. And there is plenty of energy! The cast really brings it on each number, and the band backing them up were excellent. The volume was a little high for me, and I did have some trouble making out the lyrics in a number of places, but maybe I'm just getting old. The set is simple, as the whole show takes place narratively on stage, but it is greatly enhanced by a dazzling light display that provides not only visual interest but also narrative cues and clues. The characters were well defined and brought to life by the actors, all of whom are very talented singers as well (as one would hope). It's a shame that live theater is so expensive, as it is always a great experience (even in those cases when the show itself isn't). I would want "Six" to be available to a much wider audience to enjoy! I'm glad that we were able to splurge a bit for a special evening and enjoy this fun, fine show.
My dad promised me two years ago that he would take me to see SIX. When I found out that it would be in DC while I was visiting my dad there, I had to see it. It did not disappoint. Everything was perfect. The music, the costumes, the lighting, EVERYTHING!! The energy was great and the venue was amazing. I cried happy tears when the curtains opened.
The energy this cast has was beyond incredible. Their voices and personalities really just pulled the show together. Everyone was so nice and genuine, I would definitely see this show again!
