SIX is the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical that tells the story of the six wives of Henry VIII — reimagining the Tudor queens as powerful pop divas. Led by an all-female cast, SIX presents the queens as pop stars, with each recounting their story while channeling modern pop acts as they make the case for who was dealt the worst hand. SIX was written by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss when the two were studying at Cambridge University. By the summer of 2017, SIX was being staged at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in Scotland. After a sold-out run on London’s West End, SIX premiered on Broadway in October 2021 (with Moss becoming the youngest female director working on a Broadway musical). The herstory musical was an immediate hit, with The New York Times noting how the pop production “totally rules,” and The Washington Post hailing SIX as “exactly the kind of energizing, inspirational illumination this town aches for.”
SIX is performed at the Lena Horne Theatre at 256 West 47th Street in the Theater District of Midtown Manhattan, New York, between Broadway and 8th Avenue. Individual and group tickets for the show are available through Ticketmaster and the Lena Horne Theatre box office.
Be sure to add SIX to your favorites on Ticketmaster.com or the Ticketmaster app to get important alerts about tickets. (Download the Ticketmaster app for iPhone or Android.)
Group bookings to see SIX require a minimum purchase of 10 tickets.
The recommended age for children to see SIX is 10 and up. Children five and under are not permitted into the Lena Horne Theatre. All patrons — regardless of age — must have a ticket.
At one hour and 20 minutes and no intermission, SIX has the shortest running time of any musical currently on Broadway.
Fans of SIX call themselves the “Queendom” and often appear at SIX performances cosplaying as their favorite queen.
The current cast of SIX may include Hailee Kaleem Wright as Catherine of Aragon, Leandra Ellis-Gaston as Anne Boleyn, Bella Coppola as Jane Seymour, Nasia Thomas as Anna of Cleves, Zoe Jensen as Katherine Howard and Taylor Iman Jones as Catherine Parr.
Alternate cast members may include Marilyn Caserta, Ayla Ciccone-Burton, Holli' Conway, Kristina Leopold and Aubrey Matalon.
The energy on and off stage was through the roof. Such a great show! I can't wait to see it again =D
Phenomenal! Definitely a must see! Songs and singing were awesome!
Absolutely loved the music and it was a fantastic ensemble. Their voices were amazing and great storytelling. I would see it again!!
This is NOT for the performance - this is about the ticket that was sold to me (at over $300) as a center orchestra seat - UNobstructed. Imagine my frustration when I was shown to my seat, next to and slightly behind the lighting board in the back row. When I went to the usher to ask to be moved, she said, Oh, you can see the whole stage - you just have to sit forward on your seat and lean to the right. I was finally given the option of a metal chair behind the last row and told I could use the child cushions to submit in so I could see the stage. I mean, come on. This is not acceptable.
Truly talented performers!! My 12 yo was shaking in her seat with excitement. The show did not fail!! Memorable…she wanted to see it again the next night!!
Such an amazing show! Loved the music and choreography!
We enjoyed the show and appreciated the communications to make sure we had our electronic tickets and would not miss the show! Thank you.
Great music and stars. Best show ever for our four teenagers. They loved it. All six ‘wives’ were winners.
The show was absolutely fun, energetic and creative. Would definitely recommend and will likely see it again. The venue is small and intimate, a nice change from the very large theaters. Our only negative experience with the evening was with the gentlemen sitting next to us who was eating his leftover Mexican food...yes, you read that correctly! Now, I'm a huge fan of Mexican food, but I'd never bring it to a theater with me (or an airplane or any other closed space). He then opened a can of Diet Coke, the contents of which was laying on the floor at the end of the performance. I'm not sure I understand why the Theater bothers with the expense of lids on drinks sold at the performance, if they allow drinks in non-spill proof containers to be brought into the theater...
The music was awesome and these ladies voices!? AMAZING!!! The costumes were fun and the message was relevant and woman-powered. I also really respected that it was an all female band as well. Would totally see it again!
Loved the premise of the show. I live musicals and had 3 lined up fo my extended weekend in NYC. My seat was in upper mezzanine. From the start the sound quality was terrible. The singing sounded like screeching so the dialog/lyrics were hard to understand. Each character's song was their story ...... It was a six song high pitched concert that literally hurt my ears. I did not have that reaction with the other musicals I saw over the weekend. If there had been an intermission I would have left and not returned. Very disappointing.
I was excited by the premise of the show-love musicals and couldn't wait to see it. I had 3 musicals lined up for my stay in NYC. My seat was up in the rafters:) from the start the sound quality was bad. The women sounded like they were screeching and you couldn't hear the dialog or the lyrics clearly. The characters boiled down to their song....which you couldn't make out all the lyrics to. None of the music had me tapping my feet. If there had been an intermission I would have left and not returned. It felt like a 6 song high pitched concert that literally hurt my ears. I didn't have that reaction to the other musicals I saw over my long weekend. I expected more/better of a Broadway show.
Great performance, amazing voices and the actresses were so good (great singers and dancers and really funny when they had to). They made everybody enjoy the show. Superb!
Had a great time at this show!! The venue is small enough so that every seat in the house has a great view! Great energy, not too long, lots of fun!
Show was great, story line, performers, music was fantastic. Great writers for story line, music and choreography. Show was shorter than expected.
When SIX comes off Broadway it would be fun if history teachers and or theater teachers had their students go and see this production and then write a paper on each wife or pick out a wife an write more about her. Continue the discussion in class time about each wife. SIX is an off beaten path production, which I so enjoyed. It isn't your typical Broadway play. Which I absolutely loved, it was very refreshing to see SIX. Thank you for bringing SIX to the stage. Tell everyone right down to the person that is a greeter at the door THANK YOU!!!!!!!
High Energy! Great fun! And even a little bit of a history lesson:))
Six was fantastic!!!!! The cast was absolutely incredible and some of the best vocalists I have ever heard on Broadway. The vibe is certainly more of that of a concert than a traditional musical as the characters are talking to you and responding to the cheers. Absolutely a blast!!
I had been listening to the album for months, and I was blown away by the production. It was absolutely amazing, the direction, the lighting and sets, the cast. So uplifting and exactly what the world needs right now.
Entertaining show that’s about 1.5 hours. The mezzanine seats had very limited leg room so it was very uncomfortable seating. I’m 5’4 and I was very uncomfortable. I can’t imagine a taller person sitting there for the length of the show.
