  • A fun-filled interactive show!

    by Mimi on 12/23/24Shea's 710 Theatre - BuffaloRating: 4 out of 5

We really enjoyed “Sister’s Late Night Catechism The Mystery of the Magi’s Gold” - super fun & lots of laughs! It was great to have audience participation, too.

  • Improvised

    by CherBear on 12/23/24Shea's 710 Theatre - BuffaloRating: 4 out of 5

I didn’t realize that this play was going to be more improvising than scripted. The nun did a good job, and knew her stuff, but some parts were slow. The 710 theater was so comfortable with not a bad seat in the house. We enjoyed our night, although my catholic girlfriend did nod off.

  • OK until it got Boring

by chumo on 12/11/24The Vogel at Count Basie Center for the Arts - Red BankRating: 4 out of 5

quite a few smiles and some laughs until 'Sister' started dressing the 'Nativity' cast... dressing the 8 or 9 audience members selected as cast members took way too long, perhaps 30 minutes, and it wasn't all that funny.

  • View not great

by Charity on 12/11/24The Vogel at Count Basie Center for the Arts - Red BankRating: 2 out of 5

Not that entertaining. Seemed to be fun for people in front

Funny, but not what I expected. The advertising made me think the sister was going on a quest for the Magi's gold. Actually only a small part had anything to do with the gold. Great audience participation and impromptu.

  • Memories Abound

by Blessingyou on 12/24/17Abdo New River Room at the Broward Center - Ft LauderdaleRating: 4 out of 5

If you are Catholic, or if you have ever received Sunday School instruction at any religious denomination...you can relate to this audience participation show. Sister Christmas was very believable and authentic, funny and clever in her portrayal. Well worth the enjoyable time spent.

  • 2nd half boring

by TomMath on 12/23/17Pensacola Saenger Theatre - PensacolaRating: 2 out of 5

1st half pretty funny but the 2nd half was very boring. Not worth the price.

  • Sisters Christmas was very amusing

by JimSnips on 12/23/17Pensacola Saenger Theatre - PensacolaRating: 4 out of 5

We enjoyed the Sisters Christmas Catechism very much. It started off a little slow with a choir singing Christmas carols, then going off on a tangent as they sang. The second act was very funny with the audience being tapped for "talent" to perform the story. The costuming of the volunteers was humorous and all were having a good time.

  • Sisters Christmas Catechism

    by Naenae69 on 12/23/17Pensacola Saenger Theatre - PensacolaRating: 4 out of 5

This play was so awful. I hate that we paid Saenger prices, which are not cheap, to say the least. I was so embarrassed that we had ask friends to go with us. It was like a bad school Christmas play.

  • Very good

by Bobbybrat on 12/23/17Pensacola Saenger Theatre - PensacolaRating: 4 out of 5

Not quite as funny as the original Late Night Catechism, but still a very enjoyable evening.
