About

Australian hard-rock trio Sick Puppies made their mark in the music world in the late ‘90s and early 2000’s with angst-ridden gems like “Nothing Really Matters” and a hard-hitting, far darker version of Destiny’s Child’s “Say My Name.” With such emo fare, it’s odd that a heartwarming viral video set to the Sick Puppies’ song “All The Same” featuring a street performance artist giving out free hugs would catapult the band to wider fame. Tear-jerking videos aside, however, longtime fans know that the Sick Puppies music is usually far more loud and best experienced LIVE. With Shimon Moore’s powerful vox, Mark Goodwin’s virtuoso drumming, and Emma Anzai’s seriously sick bass-playing skills, admirers never miss the chance to grab tickets to watch Sick Puppies perform hits like “You’re Going Down,” “Odd One,” “Riptide,” “There’s No Going Back” and “Die To Save You” LIVE in concert. The dynamic band plays a blend of acoustic and high octane tunes, taking fans from mellow to mosh-pit within seconds. It’s no surprise that Sick Puppies fans travel from far and wide to catch their stellar act. Band members cite Green Day, Rage Against the Machine and Silver Chair as major influences on their sound, while their music has been compared to Linkin Park, Three Days Grace, Avenged Sevenfold and Disturbed.

Waited forever for a really short concert

by tobywags1 on 11/26/13William a Egan Civic and Convention Center - Anchorage

The tickets said 7. I knew there would be a cover band, but not FOUR. There were no seats so sat on the floor a couple times waiting for the featured band. Three hours later, Sick Puppies came on stage and rocked the house! Worth the agonizing wait, but they only played for an hour! I'll try to see the Puppies every time, but might bring my own chair and some coffee next time.

    The Sick Puppies were sick!!!!

by DuckKall on 11/26/13William a Egan Civic and Convention Center - Anchorage

The concert was amazing!! I did not enjoy the fact that there were 4 opening bands. It took two hours just for the openers. We did however get our shirts signed by the sick puppies!!

    Damn great show!

by Mimi7482 on 10/27/13Saint Andrews Hall - Detroit

I didn't know a whole lot of songs from 10 years and they put on a damn good show! This was my second time seeing sick puppies. The first time I didn't know them as well as I do now and they kicked some major ass this time. They were very interactive with the crowd, made sure we were all having a great time!

    Sick Puppies rocked Detroit!

by Anonymous on 10/21/13Saint Andrews Hall - Detroit

Such an amazing & high energy show! Sick Puppies is one of the best concerts I ever been to! Shim, Emma & Mark are all so talented & really care about their fans- you leave feeling like a personal friend of theirs! We did the VIP package, so got to see an acoustic set before the show, which was awesome, then got to meet them, get pictures & autographs (they signed everything I brought & were happy to do it)! Also bought a shirt at the show which got me a pass to the autograph line after the show so I was able to get that signed as well. It's great they do that for their fans! Absolutely love them:)

Sick Puppies rocked (so did 10 Years)

by LeonfFlow1017 on 10/19/13House of Blues Chicago - Chicago

I love seeing bands at HofB...very intimate setting...not a bad spot in the place. 10 Years was awesome and really got the band going (I had forgotten how many great songs they have). Sick Puppies did not disappoint. One of the best bands around...can't believe they aren't more well known. Lots of energy....great songs....excellent show.

    Sick Puppies was AWESOME!

by Jerzes on 10/14/13The Stone Pony - Asbury Park

Sick Puppies rocked the house. Shim is a great front man and I screamed til I couldn't even talk. Emme looks great and plays great, as always! Redlight Kings, Charming Liars and even the local Opening band, In Our Glory were engaging and sounded great. This was my first visit to The Stone Pony as a venue and I will definitely be back.

by Lordseal92 on 10/5/13The Ritz Ybor - Tampa

Awesome show! Charming Liars were fantastic, Red Light King was great, and then Sick Puppies just tore the roof off! And after the show Sick Puppies stayed after to sign autographs, it honestly could not have been a better show. The Ritz is a great venue as well!
