About

Australian hard-rock trio Sick Puppies made their mark in the music world in the late ‘90s and early 2000’s with angst-ridden gems like “Nothing Really Matters” and a hard-hitting, far darker version of Destiny’s Child’s “Say My Name.” With such emo fare, it’s odd that a heartwarming viral video set to the Sick Puppies’ song “All The Same” featuring a street performance artist giving out free hugs would catapult the band to wider fame. Tear-jerking videos aside, however, longtime fans know that the Sick Puppies music is usually far more loud and best experienced LIVE. With Shimon Moore’s powerful vox, Mark Goodwin’s virtuoso drumming, and Emma Anzai’s seriously sick bass-playing skills, admirers never miss the chance to grab tickets to watch Sick Puppies perform hits like “You’re Going Down,” “Odd One,” “Riptide,” “There’s No Going Back” and “Die To Save You” LIVE in concert. The dynamic band plays a blend of acoustic and high octane tunes, taking fans from mellow to mosh-pit within seconds. It’s no surprise that Sick Puppies fans travel from far and wide to catch their stellar act. Band members cite Green Day, Rage Against the Machine and Silver Chair as major influences on their sound, while their music has been compared to Linkin Park, Three Days Grace, Avenged Sevenfold and Disturbed.

  • Sick Puppies put on an incredible show!

by Resurection on 3/18/11Northern Lights - Clifton ParkRating: 5 out of 5

I had never seen Sick Puppies before- but heard nothing but good things about their shows. So I went in with slightly high expectations, suffered through Framing Hanley (Kill Miss Pretty and Adelita's Way rocked though) and had one of the best concerts so far with SP. They energized the crowd, interacted and actually got everyone enjoying the show together. 10/10- will definitely see them the next time they are around the area.

  • Loved Sick Puppies!!!

by SheriMusicFan on 3/18/11Northern Lights - Clifton ParkRating: 5 out of 5

Northern Lights is a great venue for an intimate concert. Sick Puppies are fantastic. They really know how to engage the audience. I would highly recommend seeing them as they put on a great show. The only problem I had with this show was that there were 3 opening acts (Ii.e. It took almost 3 hours before Sick Puppies took the stage) It was much too long of a wait to see such a great band.

We went to the show and were completely blown away. The band has a tremendous stage presence. Emma was incredible, her energy level was on 10 the whole time. I haven't seen a bass player with kick ass moves like that since the '80s.

  • One of the best shows you will see!

by Slapadabass on 3/18/11Northern Lights - Clifton ParkRating: 5 out of 5

This was my fifth Sick Puppies show and by far the best one they have ever done! They played for over an hour and still did the meet and greet after. They are super friendly and down to earth they haven't let the fact that they are getting HUGE go to their heads which is awesome... Don't miss this show!!!!!!

  • AMAZING!

I have seen Sick Puppies six times and every time they get better and better. They are my absolute favorite band I've ever seen live (I've been to a ton of shows). They are so grateful for their fans and take time out of their schedules to meet every single person at the show.

  • Alterbridge was amazing

  • Alter Bridge Rocked

by NateDohhgg on 12/20/10The Pageant - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5

I must say that I went to see Alter Bridge with my nephew since he is a big fan. We had already seen Sick Puppies at a prior show. It was the best show that I think I have been too ever. Mark Tremonti is absolutely amazing on the guitar.

  • Best LIVE show!!!!

by cikpuppie on 12/20/10The Pageant - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5

The SICK PUPPIES are hot and I am so happy to have been able to see them at the Pageant. They could seriously blow up and be at the Amphitheatre or Busch Stadium next time they come in town. Awesome show and can't wait for next time! Wonderful live show...a must see!!

  • Sick Puppies Never Disappoint

by dlcramer on 12/17/10The Pageant - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5

I have seen Sick Puppies 11 times and never in the same venue and the Pagaent in St. Louis has to be one of the best.

  • Sick puppies has had better shows

by cantfindanamenottaken on 12/16/10The Pageant - St LouisRating: 4 out of 5

This is the third time I have seen Sick Puppies. The first was the best and at that time I did not even know the music. They talked a lot and could have played more music. Overall performance of music was good although I wanted them to play Say My Name.

  • Alter Bridge As Headliner .....

    by Babs1028 on 12/16/10The Pageant - St LouisRating: 4 out of 5

Bad City was a good warm up act for Alter Bridge who rocked the house!!!!!!! Honestly thought that Alter Bridge should of been headliner. Heard many other people throughout the evening make the same comment during the event. Sick Puppies were good as well but not like Alter Bridge....Had a great and memorable evening just the same :) The staff at Pageant handled themselves very professionally in all situations.

  • sick puppies rocked the house!!

They were awsome and will totally see them again when they come to town.

  • an alcohol induced orgasmic show

by markthemc on 12/16/10The Pageant - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5

After waiting in the blistering cold for half of an hour, the bands that night sure warmed everyone real fast. Bad City was okay, however they needed more energy as well as hard bass. Alterbridge moved the souls in the house as well as the soulless. Sick Puppies, although I don't prefer their band name, rocked St. Louis again. I happened to be at their first show this year and it was a 7.5, this show at the pagent was a pure 12 plus They made me want to see their show again and that is exactly what we are going to do. I one word.....BAND-TABULOUS.... markthemc markthemc@yahoo.com

  • Another Great Pageant Show

by TopSarge on 12/16/10The Pageant - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5

Its easy to understand why the Sick Puppies love to play St. Louis...they're treated like family. I've seen them 3 other times, so I actually came to see Alter Bridge. Myles has a phenomenal voice and Tremonti just rips it up.

  • Sick Pups & Alterbridge were AMAZING!

by Billeh on 12/16/10The Pageant - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5

This was my first time seeing Alterbridge live, and they were great! I highly recommend seeing them to anyone who hasn't. I've seen Sick Puppies a hand full of times and they NEVER cease to be incredible. They're always awesome live and always make an effort to meet all of their fans. I enjoyed that they were the headliner, since they often don't get to play more than a handful of songs at an event. They should be main stage/headliner more often! Kudos to the Point for such a fun show!

  • Sick Puppies and Alter Bridge equals amazing!

by BluesWinCup on 12/15/10The Pageant - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5

Really great show. Went to see Alter Bridge, left buying both their cds and concert shirts. They were simply amazing live. Check out their show.

  • FIRST TIME AT THE PAGEANT

by YAWANNAGO on 12/15/10The Pageant - St LouisRating: 4 out of 5

THIS WAS OUR FIRST TIME AT THE PAGEANT AND WE LOVED THE PLACE. THE SOUND WAS AWESOME AND CAN'T WAIT TO RETURN. THE ONLY THING I DIDN'T LIKE WAS STARTING THE SHOW AT 8:00PM ON A MONDAY NIGHT. LIKE ALL OTHER VENUES IN OUR AREA, THERE'S NO GOOD REASON TO HAVE AN OPENING ACT START AFTER 7:00PM. SEVERAL PEOPLE LEFT SHORTLY AFTER THE SICK PUPPIES WENT ON STAGE DUE TO THE TIME. HOPEFULLY THIS REQUEST WILL GO TO THE RIGHT PERSON. OTHER THAN THAT, THE SHOW WAS GREAT!

  • Alter bridge BABY!!

    by Steffieangel127 on 12/15/10The Pageant - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5

This show started with Bad City, which I wasn't so fond of. Then, alter bridge ROCKED! Mark Tremonti is a guitar God! Unbelievable! Sick Puppies blew my mind with their music along with their heartfelt commentary! Amazing Show!!

  • Alter Bridge Was AWESOME!!!!

    by Luv2hnt1 on 12/15/10The Pageant - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5

Thought it was a joke that they opened up got Sick Puppies, it should have been the other way around AB shouldve been insulted by that!

  • Alter Bridge at the Pageant

Alter Bridge was FANTASTIC! Their performance exceeded my expectations! They need to come back to St. Louis soon!
