D.C. rainmaker Shy Glizzy is at the top of the capital's rap game thanks to his fresh sound and unflinching portrayal of street life. BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
D.C. isn't known for its rap scene, but Marquis Amonte King, aka Shy Glizzy, is out to change that. Glizzy started self-releasing music in 2011, and by 2012 he had D.C. on the rap radar thanks to popular mixtapes like Law and Fxck Rap. His profile got a boost when Complex named him one of "10 New DMV Rappers to Watch Out For", and in 2013 he followed up on the success of his Law mixtape with Law 2. His big breakthrough, however, came in 2014 with the mixtape Young Jefe, which spawned his biggest hit to date "Awwsome". The track cracked the Top 40 on the R&B/Hip-Hop chart, and rap heavyweights A$AP Rocky and 2 Chainz hopped on the remix. With new material slated for 2016 and rumors of a forthcoming full-length debut, Shy Glizzy has all eyes on him—and D.C.
Doors opened at 7pm. Show started at 8pm. However, Shy Glizzy didn’t arrived until nearly midnight. He only performed for 20-25 minutes. I expected better from him. He could’ve at least performed for an hour. He has plenty of good songs! smh I won’t attend any more of his shows.
It took him a long time to come out but it was a good show when he came out preformed a lot of old songs overall the concert was good had meet and greet tickets and it wasn’t organized
The concert was so much fun. Security and staff did a great job keep everyone safe

shy glizzy is an absolutely great performer he was hype the crowd was hype!! he performed white girl and awwsome and that really made my night tbh !!
pretty good, except for the part where there was more weed smoke than oxygen in the venue but besides that it was pretty cool
Definitely gave me my money worth I got to get to the Fillmore more often

Ok ive been to his show before and it was great. But he literally always sings the same songs, with a few of his new ones. It was literally 2 new ones. Kinda dissapointed. He showed up at 10 and then left like an hour later.
well first off it was definitely so cold in there like seriously .. and secondly he took the longest to come out .. but he made up for it .
