Shrek The Musical Tickets

I was very excited to see Shrek The Musical, as I’ve seen high school productions as well as the actual Broadway production on TV. This was a different interpretation I was not prepared for. The first major difference was the use of puppets as replacements for the younger versions of Shrek and Fiona. This was really odd. And the puppets were a bit scary. The scenery was very minimal. Scene changes were non existent, other than adding props to allude to a different part of the story, or lighting changes for time of day. Then there was Lord Farquad. Traditionally he is played by a normal sized man on his knees making him short. Their actor was normal sized, so the short jokes were eliminated, instead focusing on his feminine hair and qualities. Overall, the show was fun and the actors extremely talented, but was a different version of the original Broadway production.

This is probably…definitely the worst show I’ve ever seen. It was painful to sit through this, honestly. Dismal set, chopped up plot, missing songs, technical issues, lacking costumes…I could go on. Let me preface this by saying I have absolutely nothing against the actors, who were actually quite talented. But I’m truly not sure how this show, when thinking back to the Broadway & OG tour productions, ended up like it is today, especially since the original creators were involved. This was truly equivalent to something my high school would have put on.

While it was a little different than I expected it was fantastic! We all loved it and talked about our favorite characters and parts the whole way home. We were a group ranging from 8-43 years old and everybody really enjoyed the show. Cast was awesome, very well done. Thanks for a great Friday evening with the kids!!!

The overall show was funny and enjoyable the only downside was there were far to many small children under the age of 10 there and they were causing few ruckus times because they couldn't stand the 3hr time frame for the entire show. Other then that Looking forward to attending more shows at Hershey Theater as they come through town

Idk why I was expecting a broadway play level performance but this show felt like a local high school production. The orchestra was great and the singing voices too, there was some true talent there. But the production overall left something to be desired. This show is great for children, (yes I know it’s a kids movie, but so is Lion King and we all know how good that show is). This is not the professional theatrical production that you’d expect from a touring company. I only lasted 25 minutes and left. Bring the kids, they will enjoy it but it is not suitable for an adult night at the theater.

Fun. Kid and I really disappointed that a highlight of the musical soundtrack, Donkey’s “Don’t Let me Go” song was cut though. Also would have liked to have a Playbill of some sort to add to my collection.

Very good production! Great view from anywhere. We came from Philly but it was worth the drive and we plan to come back for shows in the future!

Clever re-imagining of the movie. Liked some of the stage gags, the cast was great, especially Fiona!

If you want to see a elementary school musical by adults and Shreks charm was pulled out of the movie you got this musical and I wish I could get my money back. It was terrible we didn't stay for the whole thing.

My 12-year-old daughter and I saw the show and it was INCREDIBLE! We laughed and sang the entire time. The costumes were adorable and the cast was phenomenal. 10/10 recommend.
