Shin Lim on Tour
Catching Shin Lim in the act is unlike watching any other magician perform. Instead of making people disappear or sawing them in half, he simply concentrates on card tricks. But he raises the level of his sleight of hand with a deck of cards to a fine art.
There's drama, music, and a kind of a ballet to Lim's magic. And he's known for performing his illusions without uttering a word, letting his hands and his cards do all the talking while his carefully curated music — Lim started out as a musician — tickles the audience's ears. If you've seen him in one of his many television appearances, be it Penn & Teller: Fool Us, America's Got Talent, or Jimmy Kimmel Live, then you've experienced only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to a Shin Lim live performance.
Shin Lim Background
Born in Vancouver to Singaporean parents and raised in Massachusetts, Shin Lim had two passions in his youth: music and magic. He was studying music in college when he learned that he was suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome. This discovery caused him to abandon playing the piano in favor of becoming a professional magician.
He got one of his first big breaks when he was given the chance to tour in China. Since he didn't speak the language, he kept silent during his tricks, and that practice became a signature of his shows. Bringing a bold, unprecedented artistry to the realm of card tricks, Lim really began to hit it big when he worked his magic on TV's Penn & Teller: Fool Us in 2015. The performance became a social media sensation that elevated his profile dramatically. Since then, he's frequently appeared on TV, twice becoming a winner on America's Got Talent. And he tours widely, taking his illusions everywhere from Las Vegas to Broadway.
Colin Cloud is an excellent compliment to Shin Lim. From the very start of the performance to the end, I was mesmerized. People from the audience were selected as participants. Were the participants planted? So well performed you need to go again to check it out

Limitless was a fantastic show! Colin Cloud's feats of mind reading and abilities as a mentalist were a crowd pleaser. And Shin Lim's slight of hand was as spectacular as ever. We loved the show so much we immediately purchased tickets to a performance in 2020! The meet and greet was also fun and highly recommended.
I’ll start by mentioning I am a huge true magic fan, meaning I enjoy upclose magic and not the grandstand prop and drama magicians. Shin Lim delivers!! You can’t help believe in magic. Watching Shin Lim is art. The show also featured Colin who was amazing!! Together they performed the best magic show I’ve been to. Would definitely recommend !
I thought sure enough thought would have gone into Shim's show to allow audience to clearly see the magic. The theater's screens were much too small. We sat in middle section row K. I had headache from eye strain. I could not believe how small the side screens were. When I first saw how small the screens were, I thought maybe the screens would reflect zoomed in close, but not. Get a better view on UTube.
This show is truly fantastic! I did not blink once. With Colin Cloud and Shin Lim together, truly a magical night. I will see this show again. Shin Lim is a MAGICIAN. PERIOD!!!!
Great show that is not exactly like what you have already seen. Colin Cloud and Shin Lim did a great collaboration together and had lots of reactions from the crowd, interactions with magic tricks, and overall a solid routine together. Magic and the mentalism was very mind-blowing and wish we could have cheered the whole time but that would be too loud.
From the ordering of the tickets through Ticketmaster to attending the show, the whole experience was great. Ticketmaster makes it so easy to use your smartphone for ordering and getting in the venue. The show was fantastic. The opening act was magician Colin Cloud and he was worth a ticket in is own right. I had seen him on TV before but it was great to see him in person. He also came out several times during the show. Very, very good. Shin Lim was amazing!!! The show at the Mirage was a sellout and everyone in the audience appeared to be spellbound by his card magic. Well worth going to.
Show was absolutely fantastic. Both Shin Lim and Colin had us on our seats and laughing at times. They are great entertainers and I would highly recommend that people attend the show. Shin Lim is so good, that it scares me thinking he's really doing magic!!
The stage was not in view from the seats I bought....Second row seat 1 and two. I was disappointed to get put in the sixth row! Show was good, just disappointed with seats
Shin is unbelievable in person. I have never been so amazed with an illusion show. I would also like to express how impressive and entertaining Colin Cloud really is. His acts on AGT don’t do him justice. One of the best combos for a live show ever!!
Shin Lim is a really nice guy with a wealth of talent. His slight of hand skills are unmatched. We both thoroughly enjoyed the show. However, we felt the Mirage Terry Fator Theater video quality was rather inferior. It seemed to me the cameras were not HD, which left about one-fourth of the cards displaying on the screens not sharply focused. His show moves on to the Pacific Northwest. I hope for his sake the camera work is better. Would have been five stars if it weren't for the video.
Had a great partner. Did most of the same routines as on AGT, but was still a great show. Be sure to get tickets up close so to watch him in person, otherwise you can only see most of what he is doing on one of the big screens. Might as well watch him on You Tube.
My daughter and I love AGT and Penn & Teller's Fool Us so we were super excited to see Shin. Overall the magic was good, but was disappointing that every trick Shin performed was something that I had seen in person on one of his various appearances-though seeing the trick from the finale of AGT where the card morphed from like a 4 of spades to a 9 of hearts (on the show, at the performance it was an 8H) was interesting as on TV that trick looked so fake that I thought it was using CGI-seeing it in real life it was different. That said Colin absolutely stole the show. Tremendous magic, I'm not sure how the hell he pulled off 2-3 of his tricks but damn they were awesome! I knew going in Shin was much more of an up close magician so adding Colin absolutely made the show that much better for those sitting in the "cheap seats" and not right on top of the stage.

This was better than we had hoped for. It is very clever of Shin Lim to add Colin Couch to the show. Shin Lim is brilliant, but rather mystical and serious about his magic and it is all based on cards and "close-up" sleight-of-hand tricks. Colin is a mentalist with a great sense of humor and he uses the stage more, so the mix really works. The show is spectacular and I am quite sure that no-one saw the amazing end coming. We have seen a lot of magic shows over the years and this is certainly one of the best.
The theater was comfortable and the entertainment factor was a 10!
Having Colin Cloud performing as well was an unexpected, added bonus. The only problem that I had which was not the fault of Shin Lim was the quality of the video screens and the blurriness of the cards being displayed up close on the screens. Also, the cameraman did not have time to focus in on the cards because of the constant movement and when an audience member was on stage and was asked to show the card, it would be in the shadow and you couldn't see what the card was. Other than that, it was an amazing show. I would go see it again!
Really enjoyed both Shin Lim and Colin Cloud. They made our Las Vegas trip magical.
I really like this show I just wish they had a better equipment because it was hard to see what was going on on the screens they had!
