Shin Lim on Tour

Catching Shin Lim in the act is unlike watching any other magician perform. Instead of making people disappear or sawing them in half, he simply concentrates on card tricks. But he raises the level of his sleight of hand with a deck of cards to a fine art.

There's drama, music, and a kind of a ballet to Lim's magic. And he's known for performing his illusions without uttering a word, letting his hands and his cards do all the talking while his carefully curated music — Lim started out as a musician — tickles the audience's ears. If you've seen him in one of his many television appearances, be it Penn & Teller: Fool Us, America's Got Talent, or Jimmy Kimmel Live, then you've experienced only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to a Shin Lim live performance.

Shin Lim Background

Born in Vancouver to Singaporean parents and raised in Massachusetts, Shin Lim had two passions in his youth: music and magic. He was studying music in college when he learned that he was suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome. This discovery caused him to abandon playing the piano in favor of becoming a professional magician.

He got one of his first big breaks when he was given the chance to tour in China. Since he didn't speak the language, he kept silent during his tricks, and that practice became a signature of his shows. Bringing a bold, unprecedented artistry to the realm of card tricks, Lim really began to hit it big when he worked his magic on TV's Penn & Teller: Fool Us in 2015. The performance became a social media sensation that elevated his profile dramatically. Since then, he's frequently appeared on TV, twice becoming a winner on America's Got Talent. And he tours widely, taking his illusions everywhere from Las Vegas to Broadway.

We saw it with our 10 year old child a few months ago. Engaging, happy. It looked effortless. Great for both adults and children alike.

  • Mind-blowing!

I had previously seen Shin Lim on AGT and recall the judges telling him that his 'close-up' magic would not easily translate to a larger crowd situation. I disagree! The show was entertaining and filled with implausible slight of hand tricks that just left me shaking my head. There are large video screens on the stage; two smaller ones on either side and one large one in the middle. I found it easy to see the tricks being done and did not at all feel like the 'magic' was compromised in any way. Our seats were in the lower section, row M, in the middle. Shin Lim weaves his personal story of how he got where he is today throughout the show and the narration is enjoyable. There were a few surprise guests (which I won't say to not ruin the surprise) as well. This is a great show for family too.

Shin Lim’s show was absolutely fantastic! Non-stop amazing moments and spectacular tricks – currently teamed up with “The Clairvoyants”! All three of them are breathtaking! We would recommend this show to everyone! Thank you for a magical evening :)

  • Great for all ages

by JAG on 6/1/25Palazzo Theatre at The Venetian Resort - Las VegasRating: 4 out of 5

Shin lim is fantastic! He is engaging and the show kept us wondering how he did each trick. I like that he wants to incorporate his wife into the show, but her act didn’t fit in, nor was it good. Loved seeing the Clairvoyants in the show.

His soft-spoken personality and amazing magical talents combine for a performance filled with surprise and laughter. We kept saying, "What? How did he do that?"Comfortable venue at The Palazzo Theater and fun for the whole family.

  • Absolutely Incredible

I took my son to see this show when it was at the Mirage in 2022. My wife and I were in town for the Kenny Chesney and decided to go see Shin Lim again. I assumed it would be the same show I saw a few years earlier…which was also incredible. Turns out it was a completely new show and equally amazing. This is a must see show in Vegas!

  • Loved the show

    by It’s me on 5/26/25Rating: 5 out of 5

I came to see Clairvoyants—they were amazing as always! But I also was surprised by Shin Lim. Totally different styles, but they work so well together. Loved the whole show!

  • Still Great!

by MaxTS on 5/25/25Rating: 5 out of 5

I’ve seen a lot of magic shows and believe Shin Lim is the most talented magician in Vegas. I saw the show twice since it moved to the Venetian, the first time was hosted by a friend of Shin’s (Spidey) who had a natural ease on stage, he was hysterical and told the story of the show with passion, the show felt perfect. The second time had a different act (Clairvoyants), they’re also quite likeable but we felt the show moved along slower and they didn’t compliment Shin as well, they have a calmer energy which is closer to Shin’s. The audience was engaged but not as excited and blown away as the first time I went. Both shows were overall amazing though, Shin himself is incredible!

  • Sick

It was the sickest show I’ve ever watched. Everyone needs to watch it.

  • A MUST SEE!!

I’ve seen this show twice and I was so amazed both times! He’s truly incredible!

  • Shin Lim

by Kadi on 5/25/25Palazzo Theatre at The Venetian Resort - Las VegasRating: 2 out of 5

While his life story and experiences may be inspiring, the magic show lacked excitement. It was too long. Speaking slowly to extend the act did not help.

  • A Captivating Magic Show

by GuyInTheBack on 5/25/25Palazzo Theatre at The Venetian Resort - Las VegasRating: 4 out of 5

This magic show was an absolute delight, brimming with interactivity that made every moment unforgettable. Each audience member had the chance to participate in a unique magic trick, creating a truly immersive experience. The shocking magical outcomes and mind-bending mentalism kept us on the edge of our seats, with every act executed flawlessly. The show was a thrilling success from start to finish! For the best experience and a higher chance of participating up close, I recommend securing seats closer to the stage. Highly recommended for an evening of wonder!

  • Absolutely Incredible

    by Sophia M. on 5/25/25Rating: 5 out of 5

We saw Limitless with Shin Lim before, but this new version truly blew us away. The addition of The Clairvoyants brought a whole new layer of wonder and emotion to the show. Their mind-reading act was nothing short of mind-blowing, and their chemistry with the audience added so much heart. Shin Lim, as always, was mesmerizing — pure magic and artistry. The entire show felt tighter, more magical, and full of surprises. Highly recommend seeing it, even if you’ve been before. It’s now truly unforgettable!

  • Mesmerizing

by CAF on 5/24/25Palazzo Theatre at The Venetian Resort - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

Shin Lim was terrific. Still trying to figure out the first card trick involving the audience. Amazing. His slight of hand tricks are incredible. The clarvoyants were good but their acts moved slowly. Enjoyed the singer who accompanied Shin during the show. Definitely worth seeing.

  • AMAZING!!! Must see for everyone in Vegas!

by Ray on 5/18/25Palazzo Theatre at The Venetian Resort - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing performance, I had so much fun. Shin Lim is the best sleight of hand magician in the world and it shows. His tricks are incredible to witness and they just make you smile at his mastery. He starts off the show with a card trick that all of the audience can participate in, which was a lot of fun! He does feature a few guests during the whole performance so it's not all Shin Lim. If you want to participate in the tricks or get called up on stage, you should aim to sit closest to the stage and to raise your hand when he asks for volunteers. Anyway, highly recommended for anyone in Vegas!

  • The show was excellent!

This show was amazing!Great screen behind made visibility of the close up tricks very good. Shin Lim had a great stage presence, came across as humble ,sweet and yet passionate about his magic. Other cast members were wonderful, the mentalist was funny and engaging, the aerial artist was quite entertaining. Overall a perfect ten!
