Sheng Wang is a Taiwanese Texan who developed and honed his comedy in the thriving standup community of the San Francisco Bay Area. He performs jokes based on personal experiences and observations and addresses common non-sense with honesty and ill logic. His refreshingly affable stage presence combined with a healthy penchant for absurdity and self-deprecation make his act hilarious and universally accessible.
He has toured with the Comedians of Comedy and American Eagle’s ‘Campus Comedy Challenge.’ He has also appeared on Comedy Central’s ‘Live at Gotham' and attended the 'Just for Laughs’ comedy festival in Montreal. Wang's half hour Comedy Central special aired in 2011. NBC also awarded him with a holding deal that same year. Wang's appearance on the John Oliver NY Stand Up Show aired in August of 2012.
Had a great date night at this event, will definitely be recommending more of this. This was our first comedy live show. Watched Shang special on Netflix, and booked the Tacoma event. No regrets. Paramount place to host this event, all staff members professional, snack bar, photos available with comedians after.
From the opening act straight through Sheng’s set, I could not stop laughing. I wasn’t alone either. The theatre burst with laughter, knee slapping, and overall cheer. Our quirks and OCD rituals no longer ours alone, as Sheng put them all out there for us to share. Great fun!!!!! I’ve seen his Netflix special and came to this same venue to watch him open for Aly Wong. All new material!!! Love love love
Sheng Wang is HILARIOUS. His comedy is clean and clever. A REALLY great time!
The relatability, comedy and comfortable venue made this an amazing date night experience! His lineup covers everything from his removal of shoes in his home, his thick grey over abundant ingredient healthy smoothies to his honest disclaimer about his front tooth being a crown and what it took to get the work done at the dentist. Sheng also came to the lobby afterwards to meet guests and take selfies with everyone. Such a cool guy! Loved every moment!
We saw a relatively recent Netflix show of his the next day and there was zero repetition. He is SO creative and intelligent I was amazed. My wife didn't stop laughing from the beginning .
This show was a great escape from all the stress of the world. I highly recommend seeing Sheng Wang if he's in your town.
Sheng Wang has really hit his stride! We saw him as an opener, his comedy special and now we saw his full set live and were still laughing at his jokes for days after. Don't miss him if you get the chance.
Sheng had me dying! I laughed through the entire show. His laid-back tone, chill vibes, and perfect pace and delivery are hilarious. After the show, he thanked everyone for their support, and came out to the merch booth to take selfies with the crowd. It was one of the most memorable comedy show experiences I’ve had with one of my favorite comedians in recent years. Shout out to his opener, Kevin Camia! He definitely set the tone for the show.
This is one of the best comedy shows I have been to. Sheng made me laugh so hard my stomach and face started to hurt. Will definitely see him again the next time he is in town.

Sheng Wang was nothing short of incredible. In a literal sense, there was not a single second that went by that wasn’t filled with laughter. He is so original, so relatable, and so hilariously good at what he does. From this single show alone, I’m now a lifelong fan. Advice for my fellow asthma sufferers: don’t forget your inhaler for the nonstop laughing you’re about to do.
Sheng Wang jokes are really genuine and funny, both my husband and I really enjoyed the night out. All the jokes were brand new, we thought there might be some old jokes like COSTCO ones we saw on Netflix but Nooo, all the jokes were brand new, we loved it!
We love Sheng Wang :) We first saw him live at his Tempe Improv show about a year ago. It was great to hear how his material developed. About 70% of his the current tour was new-to-us material. We were laughing for the entire time. Love his perspective and style. Don't hesitate to go. We can't wait to catch him again!
This is the second time me and my wife have seen Sheng Wang live since discovering him on his Netflix special “Sweet and Juicy”. He brings new jokes each time, and they are back to back funny, he keeps a good pace. It was nice to see him and Kevin, in a bigger venue with better seats this time. They continued to slay!

We saw Sheng Weng's Netflix special and so enjoyed his low key, smart, observational humor that we jumped at the chance to see him when he came to Sacramento. He did not disappoint. We had a great evening, enjoyed the venue and laughed a lot. Although he has been doing stand up for years, it is nice to see he is finally being recognized on a broader scale. You should definitely see him if you have the chance.

Sheng Wang is quickly becoming one of my all-time favorite comedians. His material is kind, funny, and so relatable it feels like it was written just for you. Whether you’ve lived in the South, hustled in NYC, chilled on the West Coast — or all of the above, like me... Sheng speaks a language we all understand. He finds the comedy in the chaos of life’s beautiful truths: the joy of Costco pants, the thrill of child-like berry consumption, and the humble acceptance that maybe we can’t do the monkey bars like we used to - and that’s okay. His delivery is laid-back but sharp, full of warmth and wit without ever needing to punch down. Seeing him live is like getting a permission slip to just enjoy the moment and giggle at the stuff we all quietly think about. If you get the chance to catch his show live, do not miss it. You’ll leave smiling from every region of your soul.
I purchased a couple of items of Mr Wang's merchandise before the show. The lady attending the table was friendly and helpful with the merchandise and the venue details. Nice way to begin the evening. Show time I don't like when performers mention the city they are in because it always seems like a time filler and pandering to the crowd, but I believed Sheng Wang appreciated the city because he did something unusual while here, and seemed to enjoy it. Thank you for reminding me of a nice park I hadn't been to in awhile. Oh goodness, I love how Mr. Wang's mind works! I didn't think he could be as funny as he was in the Netflix special, but he was!!! After the show all I could think of was I hope that material makes it onto film because I'd love to hear it again! Yes, it really was that great. He said he was probably going to do shows about one and a half years apart, but selfishly I hope his zany insights and antics inspire time to speed up just a tad bit. It was so sweet of him to offer the audience an opportunity to take a picture of him before he left the stage at the end of the show. 💗 As if that gesture wasn't enough, Mr. Wang came out to the merchandise sales table following the show and allowed pictures to be taken with him. Just. so. incredibly. SWEET!!! Thank you so much for that kindness. It offered a chance for his happy fans to give him thanks for the wonderful laughs he shared with us. I hope everyone gets to see him because his facial expressions, storytelling style, material, self deprication, his hysterical take on many similar life experiences to the rest of us, and of those we haven't is so much fun. 😎💗😂😊
Sheng Wang killed it. He’s crying-hilarious and if you enjoyed Sweet and Juicy, you will love this, too. He also is at merch and took pictures with us. A really down to earth, kind and freaking hilarious human being. Skip to the show and enjoy the truths of life with some great laughs.
