    Shelby was in the zone!

by TJM29 on 5/11/10The Concert Hall - New York

Shelby Lynne was amazing last night. In the very small and intimate setting of the "Concert Hall", she really connected to her audience. Shelby seemed genuinely appreciative of her fans and was very soulful as she sung a fun mix of some of her classic songs and selections from her new album on her own label. She seems to be in a good place, despite the heartbreaking nature of her new album. Overall it was a great show and I enjoyed it.

This was the first time I saw Shelby Lynne live -- she was amazing. Her comfort with her guitar and her voice made the performance in such a great new venue a truly wonderful experience.

Shelby put on a great show. Perfect voice, little bit of humor, cute and very humble. The venue was the perfect place to see an act like her. Would hesitate to see her again, hoping she'll be back again soon.

    Dynamic Shelby Works the Room

by Zakes on 5/5/10The Ark - Ann Arbor

Lynne was vocally on, bantered with audience and generally enjoyed herself with two back-up musicians doing a 90 minute plus acoustic set with occasional electric guitar. The guitar player, John jackson, was terrific and appreciative of the audience response. Lynne's song choice was solid and her voice was in good form. The venue, The Ark in Ann Arbor was a small room, but acoustics were excellent.

    Late Start Party Girl

by Billmos on 4/26/10Roxy Theatre - Hollywood

I've seen Shelby four times previously and I'd see her again. Having said that, I was disappointed that her portion of the show started so late and that Shelby appeared to have partied a bit too much before taking the stage. Her music was great. Her words between songs were slurred. Love you, Shelby, but I'd brought three new folks to see you and they were a little miffed (although, in all honesty, they agreed that your songs and your voice were fab).

    Amazing!

by GettyLarrabee on 4/23/10Roxy Theatre - Hollywood

I've seen Shelby in concert before and she was very reserved, but good. This time around she has let the walls down and given the audience a peek inside of her hell and heaven. Her performance was charged and her band was incredible. I would definitely see her again!

Shelby Lynn's voice was huge coming from such a petite body. Shelby was wonderful and hope to see her again soon. Her rendition of "Polk Salad Annie" was super!!!!

Shelby was the best show I have seen in 2009!!!

by Scottiegator on 9/11/09Saenger Theatre Mobile - Mobile

I have seen America and Three Dog Night, Willie Nelson-John Mellencamp-Bob Dylan, and Steely Dan respectively in 2009 - and got the incredible treat of witnessing Shelby Lynne for the first time last night in Mobile, Alabama. She treated her fans to nearly three hours of diverse music which pulled from many different musical genre, Shelby simply cannot be categorized into one simple music type but travels down many different musical paths in maximizing her awesome musical ability. I honestly had NOT followed her career that closely and only went to the show at the urging of friends but I came away awe struck and openly questioning why has the talented artist NOT gotten more air play - she is the full package. I ordered two of her cd's last night off of amazon - so i guess u can say i am hooked now!!!

    Shelby Lynne-What a Singer!What a Songwriter!

by SandyKL on 9/11/09Saenger Theatre Mobile - Mobile

I had the distinct pleasure to attend the Shelby Lynne concert Thursday night in Mobile. The girl is awesome. This concert was out of this world. God gave her the voice and she uses it with style to the amazement of the crowd. What is the genre of music her music falls under, I don't know. It's just good music. Her music can't be put in a box and labelled, except that you can say "It's fabulous." I don't understand why she has not made it big time. The critics love her, her fans love her and see her raw talent, but why doesn't the world see it? I think it is because she doesn't bend to the producers, record label heads demands and Thank God, she doesn't. God bless Shelby Lynne. Long may she sing.

This was a wonderful show. Great music, wonderful entertainment and crowd interactiong. Was not crazy about the opener (Lisa Mills) but she was ok. Also the Saenger theater was a little hot. Over all the event was a lot of fun.

Shelby Lynn at the Saenger Theater

by MAC5512 on 9/11/09Saenger Theatre Mobile - Mobile

The band was anything but tight. The audience seemed to pick up on the mistakes on the second song. After that Shelby won her hometown's hearts despite occasional guitar riff mistakes from her lead guitarist. The show ended up being fantastic with great crowd enthusiasm.
