    Holiday fuzziness

    by B. B. on 12/9/19Kings Theatre - Brooklyn

Theatre was wonderful and so was the staff! Matt and Zoey were fun to watch and it even performed some volume I songs as well. It definitely got me in the Christmas spirit šŸ’ƒšŸ¾

An Awesome Evening with She & Him, please come back

by pandahasproblems on 12/8/19The Anthem - Washington

Concert itself was awesome. So happy they played some of their hits (non-Christmas songs). That was a real treat. Both are very talented.

    Early Exit

    by D. H. on 12/7/19The Met Philadelphia - Philadelphia

Wow was I disappointed! From the start, the sound was off. Obviously reading the lyrics as they performed. Having to restart a song should have been embarrassing. Iā€™ve seen better basement jam sessions. Boring boring show.

    Zoey disappointing

by R. on 12/7/19The Met Philadelphia - Philadelphia

I went primarily because Iā€™m an M Ward fan, and I had no opinion of Zoey. I found her vocals not equal to the other talent on stage. Her voice was weak and uneven. There was no energy coming from her. It seemed like she was just trying to get through it. Hopefully for her and concert goers it was just an off night. Why didnā€™t M Ward have more opportunities to sing? He has great talent but mostly functioned as the guitar player in the band, not a co-star in the act.

    Worst show Iā€™ve ever seen

by Malach on 12/7/19The Met Philadelphia - Philadelphia

The show was everything you DONā€™T want from a live performance: amateurish, awkward, and incoherent. The vocals were almost never synced with the band and it seemed everything (including cheesy slides) was put together the day before. Very disappointing and honestly surprising given how good their actual albums are.

She & Him: Diva at Work.

by LupeGuadapupe on 7/15/13The Mann Center - Philadelphia

To begin, I really love She & Him's records. I really love the Mann Center and their staff, and in no way hold them accountable for the flaws in last week's show. There were signs placed at the entrance which said something to the effect that the audience were not to use their cell phones during the show. Fair enough. THEN, the staff of the Mann Center (very politely and apologetically) came around to remind everyone what the sign said. Again, I do not hold them responsible - they were simply doing their job. THEN over the loud speaker, preceding their performance, another announcement was made over the PA system. I have never heard of this before outside of artists who don't allow photography for legal reasons - this band was not prohibiting photography for legal reasons, they simply didn't want your attention to stray from them. ...which may have been merited if the show was something spectacular. Yes, the songs are great. Yes, the backing band is wonderful. Yes, M. Ward shredded his guitar in ways I never thought possible. But all of this was somewhat in vain because of Zooey. I have seen them before, and like last time, her vocals were turned up far above everything else, to the point where you couldn't hear the backing vocalists, and for the first time at a show, I was getting a headached (and I have seen Metallica, Iron Maiden, Dio, Black Sabbath, etc.). I have heard other people at other venues say her vocals were turned up too high, so it is rather obvious that she makes the staff adjust her levels above everyone else, and while I enjoy her voice, it is not nearly good enough to stand out above everything else.

She and him/ Camera obscura - hot & crowded,

by zeek700 on 7/14/13Central Park Summerstage - Central Park - New York

Camera Obscura was a fantastic opening act and arguably the better band. She and Him is obviously a more mainstream and crowd pleasing with their high energy numbers, beautiful harmonies and buckets of romance and charm. As for the location? Central Park is a beautiful place but being crammed into a tiny space with a sell out crowd in 90 + degree heat was brutal. To increase the claustrophobia quotient "all exits are final". It would have been lovely to step away from it all and get some air. The bathrooms? Porta-potties. Horrible. Food and drinks were fairly priced and above average concert fare but in such a tightly packed space it was just about impossible to enjoy. I'd say the biggest disappointment is imagining having space to sit eat and relax restfully enjoying the music. Instead it was a tiresome battle, fighting the crowd, spilling your drinks, having people push and prod almost knocking the food from your hands. Leaves a lot to be desired. She and Him and Camera Obscura, I would see again anytime. Very cool. Summer stage, unless it is an obscure act, hell no.

    Fun and energetic

by rgag86 on 7/13/13Bank of America Pavilion - Boston

Camera Obscura opened and did a great job, however, it was hard to understand them and I was worried it was the sound system. But when She & Him took the stage, the sound was clear and their voices were succinct. She & Him were wonderful, Zooey has a beautiful voice and Matt's is smooth. They were light on chatter - which is nice because it means more music, but I was also hoping for some funny quips from Zooey. Overall, I had a grand time and left a bigger fan than I was upon entering.

She & Him put on a cute show

by FastTrackChris on 7/13/13The Mann Center - Philadelphia

The show was alright- $30 is about right for them. They seemed to be in a hurry- finish one song, start the next, then the next... No real interaction except for one or two bits that sounded scripted. But it was fun, they are good at entertaining, and Zooey is a prettytalented musician.

    She and Him were amazing!

by Dan44 on 7/13/13The Mann Center - Philadelphia

Zooey Deschanel has so much energy on the stage, and a heavenly voice; and M. and the other musicians were extremely talented and professional. Okay, I'll admit that I have a bit of a crush on Zooey, if I were only 30 years younger!

    Just, YES!

by AviendhaSedai on 7/12/13The Mann Center - Philadelphia

Both bands were incredible! Everything I could ask for and more :) venue was very nice and they had affordable food and beverages at the front of the venue which was convenient. It was a big venue and it was very easy to see. Parking was expensive for parking in a field but there was a lot of space. Getting out was kind of a hassle and finding it was a little difficult. Overall it was great and I will definitely go back.

    What, a night!`

by AmandaMarie01 on 7/12/13Central Park Summerstage - Central Park - New York

I took my sister to this show. We had an unforgettable time! We arrived 2 hours early and were standing in the second row. We over heard people complaining about the "No Cell Phone, No Pictures" rule, but truly, we thought it was an fantastic rule! It kept with the '60s vibe She & Him gives off. I do not need a picture to remind me how amazing of a night I had.

    She&Him in NYC

by Norska20 on 7/12/13Central Park Summerstage - Central Park - New York

She & Him gave a such a good concert in NYC in Central Park on Summer Stage. Beforehand I was not expecting much as I really did not know what to expect. I was positively surprised and pleased by their performance and the quality of good music. They came, they played, they sang. They had a great band on the background and no matter how pretty Zooey Deschanel was, she did not steal the whole show. Zooey sang beautifully, and M. Ward is suuuuch a talented guitarist! Their songs were more "rock'n'roll" on stage than on record, which I was very happy about. The guitar came up better than in studio performances. They all played and sang harmonically together. It was a wonderful concert. And if someone claims that Zooey is very distant to the audience when on stage, I have to disagree. She took contact to us, but more importantly she took care of the most important, music. After this experience I have a lot more respect on this duo and their band. Thank you She&Him!

    Loved Zoey in the Park

The opener, camera obscure, was awesome. The venue was really strict about not using cell phones at all, and i realized why when she and him went on. Zooey deschanel live sounds awful, and i guess they don't want anyone to document it. Studio zooey is adorable, live zooey sounds like a strangled goat. i ended up leaving halfway through the set.
