Up-and-coming pop singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes may have gotten his start posting six second covers to video sharing service Vine, but he's quickly become as impressive live as he is on screen. Hot off the heels of his 2014 debut single "Life of the Party", Mendes has proven his vocal and performance chops on the MAGCON tour, which features budding social media stars in concert. A talented new arrival with a debut album in the works, Mendes' star will continue to rise as he hits the road as a supporting act on Austin Mahone's summer 2014 tour.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Shawn Mendes was born in a Toronto suburb of Pickering in 1998. In 2013 he began posting cover snippets to video sharing site Vine, and within a few months he had amassed millions of followers who praised his prodigious vocal talents and boyish good looks. In early 2014 he won Ryan Seacrest's "Best 35 Covers" competition with his moving rendition of A Great Big World's single "Say Something", gaining exposure to countless new fans. Several months later his debut single "Life of the Party" landed at No. 24 on the Billboard Hot 100, making him the youngest artist ever to score a Top 25 hit on the chart. A precocious young talent with big things on the horizon, Mendes will continue to build his ever-growing fanbase on tour with Austin Mahone in summer 2014.

The lights and sound were great. loved every minute of it just wish we could have been able to afford meet and greet tickets. Would have loved to meet him. Hopefully get to another of his concerts soon!

The concert was amazing. He is very talented. The only criticism I have is the waiting before the Q&A session and the lack of information we were given after the Q&A session. When the Q&A session was over, there wasn't anything to do - but buy merchandise - or anywhere to go. We were confined to the one section of the arena without water or food being available. We had to wait over an hour before we could move around somewhat freely and get food and something to drink. Then we were finally allowed to go to our seats. I just wish it could have been timed better with the ending of the Q&A session and the opening of the arena. Other than that, my daughter was over the moon and had a great time. Thank you.

My only advice is parents bring ear plugs and you can buy the merchandise at the concert cheaper online then at the concert. Shirts ran $10 more at the concert.

It was a great concert and it was fun seeing the girls dance and sing to all of Shawn's songs. I hope that Shawn is as genuine as he seems on stage and does not let this stardom go to his head. Great concert and we had a great time. Thanks Shawn and Charlie!

It was absolutely phenomenal. His voice sounded almost exactly the same as it does on the radio and in his recorded music. I highly recommend seeing him live to anyone, because it was one of the best experiences I've ever had.

Second omg I have never seen the arena filled up and I've been to two other concerts in that arena. Third of all OMG Shawn was amazing I loved every second of it and I will never forget that night. I sang along to every song, I cried in some because he helped me out so much through hard times in my life and I just love him. I would definitely go to another one of his concerts. The only bad thing was the parking at the capitol one arena parking space it was terrible and I wouldn't recommend parking there.

I went to a Shawn concert last year, and he sang a lot of the songs from last concert. At first I wanted to leave because it seemed like a repeat of last year. Then he started singing songs from Illuminate. I was so happy!! Charlie Puth was great too. I think he shortened his set because of how long it took everyone to get inside the stadium. But he still was amazing. I wouldn't trade that experience for the world!! (Also the picture was zoomed in)
