    Incredibly creative and moving

by Theatreroadtrip on 2/6/18Detroit Opera House - Detroit

I knew going into the show that the dance would be amazing, having seen some of the cast on So You Think You Can Dance. The intricate partnering and timing was pretty incredible. And holy moley, Travis and Gaby, the amount of trust and strength required at the end was incredible! The story was a bit darker than I prefer, but all in all, a wonderful show. Hope that Shaping Sound comes back to Detroit for future shows.

    Unforgettable

by Lizzieboo57 on 2/6/18Detroit Opera House - Detroit

Travis Wall never ceases to amaze me! Performance was incredible. My only issue is that my view from my seat was partially blocked by a large speaker (not noted when purchased on Ticketmaster).

    Beautiful and heartbreaking!

by AK8822 on 2/6/18Detroit Opera House - Detroit

The choreography in After the Curtain is genius! It is performed with such strength, and beauty, and totally raw emotion. This is the second time that I have seen this show and it was even better than the first time I experienced it. Unforgettable!!

More than simply a dance, it is a whole moving play brought to life through movement. It had me in tears. Beautiful!

    Amazing!

by MRR79 on 2/6/18Detroit Opera House - Detroit

As a huge fan of dance and Travis Wall,I knew I had to take the opportunity to see this show. It was one of the most powerful and intense shows I have seen. To watch a story unfold in front of my eyes with no speaking involved, only being told through movement was breathtaking.

Although I've seen a Shaping Sound show before and loved it, I can't say the same about this one. There was too much moving props around and not enough DANCING. There are amazing dancers in this troupe, but I was very disappointed I really didn't get to see them DANCE!!!

I saw the first tour this company produced and it was amazing. I did not think they could top it, but I was wrong. I saw the new tour and it was even better. It was beautiful. GO SEE THIS.

Amazing dancing, not suitable for children

by GrannyGold on 2/2/18New Jersey Performing Arts Center - Newark

Travis Wall is one of my favorite choreographers, and he didn't disappoint. This production was filled with innovative movement, emotion, beauty, power, and grace. Unfortunately, I brought my soon-to-be 9-year-old granddaughter who loved the dancing, but (much to my relief) did not understand the highly sexual story line. I tried to gloss over some of the scenes of homosexuality, but the domestic violence and homophobia was hard to explain to her. At that point, I think she had given up trying to follow the story and was just enjoying the spectacular performances. The set and the staging on the set were fabulous, but the lighting was a little annoying, sometimes too bright and sometimes too dark. For adults, the plot of the ballet was intriguing, but it was a little too long. Overall, a wonderful dance experience...for adults.

There are not enough stars to rate this show. These performers and creators are not of this world. It was AMAZING. I have not stopped raving about it.

    Legendary Show

by dmjb on 1/31/18New Jersey Performing Arts Center - Newark

Amazing talent ....you can't miss this if you love "the dance"...at least Contemporary dance although if you love dance, you can't not love this show. Travis Wall will go down in history books as a one of the most progressive choreographers of our time...for all you ballet lovers...you have to step out of the box and see this show...you will not be disappointed. The venue has it's struggles; parking, etc. but the show was well worth the glitches
