About

Shakira is a Latin pop singer-songwriter from Barranquilla, Colombia. After signing with Sony Music Colombia at age 13, the star made a name for herself in Latin America with Spanish-language albums like Pies Descalzos (1995) and Dónde Están los Ladrones? (1998). In 2001, Shakira made her crossover debut with her fifth album Laundry Service, which peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and spawned global hit singles “Whenever, Wherever” and “Underneath Your Clothes.” Throughout the 2000s, Shakira continued her crossover success with further radio smashes like “Hips Don’t Lie” featuring Wyclef Jean, the Beyoncé collaboration “Beautiful Liar” and “She Wolf.” Further LPs in Shakira’s discography include Fijación Oral, Vol. 1 (2005), Oral Fixation, Vol. 2 (2005), She Wolf (2009) and Shakira (2014). At the turn of the new decade, the singer co-wrote and recorded “Waka Waka (This Time For Africa),” the official song of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, and in 2020, she headlined the Super Bowl LIV halftime show alongside Jennifer Lopez. Shakira’s most recent studio set, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, was released in 2024.

  • Chaos and Calmness

    by Shayra on 8/11/25Valley Children's Stadium - FresnoRating: 4 out of 5

Concert was awesome, venue and organization was horrible, I almost fainted because I was in the middle of crowd pushing trying to get in the venue. They kept moving us because the line was in the way of parking. I wish it would've been at savemart Center instead although I also dislike savemart because of so many restrictions but at least is not that hard to find parking and getting inside venue.

  • Venue very unorganized.

    by R.LOV3 on 8/10/25Valley Children's Stadium - FresnoRating: 4 out of 5

Shakira gave an awesome show it was amazing!! The venue was very unorganized, I had my 14 year old daughter. We were being pushed around by the crowd. The lines were long and it took us over an hour to get in. When getting closer to the entrance there was many people crowding and no security around. We were separated from our group, since people were pushing and crowding. We got lucky to get in before the crowd got rowdy and just rush in. Giving a 4 star because of the performance Shakira gave was amazing!!

My experience was awful as I was waiting in line .I was cramp up people pushing, shoving, yelling at one another people jumping over fences to go in the stadium. Us waiting not letting us in back up the whole line and ruined the concert overall. Very unorganized.

  • A fun concert

    by Izzel on 8/10/25Valley Children's Stadium - FresnoRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was hot but once the concert started I didn’t notice it at all. Shakira is a great performer and all her songs had me up and dancing.

  • Amazing Performance by Shakira!!!

    by Susie on 8/10/25Valley Children's Stadium - FresnoRating: 5 out of 5

Shakira really connected with her fans with her music. Her dancers were great. Shakira sure knows how to make a spectacular show. The sound system and light show were amazing. The BIG problem was that the event organizer did a horrible job. It was so disorganized and very frustrating. Hopefully they will work on being more organized to be able to have the public enjoy more events at that location.

  • Amazing experience

I enjoyed the concert very much, and I'm looking forward to seeing the artists that will vist Fresno in the future.

  • Shakira was great/ venue or prices not so much

    by Fan on 8/10/25Valley Children's Stadium - FresnoRating: 3 out of 5

Shakira show was amazing but the experience leading up to the show no so much. Bought my tickets during pre sell and it was frustrating to see those same tickets were 20% cheaper just a few days prior the concert. And it’s not like we are getting any price adjustments for Ticketmaster or promoters lowering the prices to secure a sold out place. Also venue was very disorganized when it comes to parking and delaying the start of the concert because of their own issues.

  • i was sold a seat with 10 percent view

    by starbuck on 8/10/25Valley Children's Stadium - FresnoRating: 1 out of 5

  • Bittersweet

    by Galy on 8/10/25Valley Children's Stadium - FresnoRating: 2 out of 5

I got there around 7:30pm and lines were crazy. Nobody was there to redirect you to the right entrance or anything. The campus safety people there were clueless and couldn’t even control the amount of people there. So much people were cutting in line. It took me 2.5hrs to get in. Shakira had already started. I missed her entrance and a couple of songs. I was so sad and heartbroken. Once i got in, i asked a worker for help because it was my first time going inside that stadium and didn’t know where my section was and he didn’t know either. I just ended up finding my seats by myself. I feel like they should’ve hired more helpful staff and open up more gates for sure. Shakira was amazing and her show was great! I was able to hear and see clearly. I loved it. I just wished they would’ve been more organized with letting people in and letting us know what gates were open. I almost missed her show because of how unsafe some of those lines looked. Im glad i stayed and got to see her. Even though i missed the beginning.

  • Awful coordination but beautiful concert

    by Lu on 8/10/25Valley Children's Stadium - FresnoRating: 3 out of 5

The lines were ridiculous long there was no coordination nothing was organized. The tact that there was only one entrance was ridiculous. How could there only be only one entrance ???? There was over 3,000 people and only one entrance I really hated that part. There was nobody from security nobody out there trying to organize or direct the people or the ones in any way. Plus it was so hot 🥵. That party was awful to me. I feel like they could have organized everything a lot better. Other than that Shakira gave excellent concert n I loved the fireworks at the end.

  • I would purchase tickets all over again!!!

    by Lizbeth on 8/10/25Valley Children's Stadium - FresnoRating: 5 out of 5

I had so much fun at this concert. I would buy tickets all over again.

  • Great concert

    by Luis P on 8/10/25Valley Children's Stadium - FresnoRating: 5 out of 5

Shakira was fantastic. The stadium was a great venue. The lines to get in were too long and the traffic getting there showed poor planning. Still not bad for the first time being used for a major concert.

  • Worth the Wait

    by Jessica on 8/10/25Valley Children's Stadium - FresnoRating: 5 out of 5

This was my first time seeing Shakira and she really knows how to put a show I really liked how she didn't spend too much time talking and really gave it her all when performing. I saw her in Fresno and that day we were over 100 and even though she started a bit late I still had fun and it was understandable. The only bad thing about this was the structure of the stadium as getting to my seat from the entrance was a bit hard because the staff did not let us go all the way to the bottom but we did have to go around. Regardless we got to our seat before Shakira was to perform.

  • Shakira concert was amazing!!

    by JN on 8/10/25Valley Children's Stadium - FresnoRating: 5 out of 5

Shakira put on a great show!!! It was amazing, the sound was really good and so were the graphics. I had so much fun!!! The only down side of the concert was the security and lines to get in, but it’s okay because it was the first concert ever at this stadium.

  • Shakira

    by Shak on 8/10/25Valley Children's Stadium - FresnoRating: 4 out of 5

The concert overall was great! Minus one star for Venue disorganization.

  • Great concert!

    by Marco on 8/10/25Valley Children's Stadium - FresnoRating: 5 out of 5

There was some snags with the venue since it was their first outdoor concert of this magnitude but Shakira provided an experience that was truly unforgettable. I would definitely go again!

  • Her performance was great, sound was horrible

by Bex on 8/10/25SoFi Stadium - InglewoodRating: 4 out of 5

Her performances were awesome. The sound quality sounded horrible at Sofi Stadium. It sounded like an echo and when she spoke you could not understand what she was saying. Also, CGI was really bad.

  • Shakira, Shakira, Shakira

    by Kathy O on 8/10/25Valley Children's Stadium - FresnoRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was extraordinary. Despite the confusion, delays, and lines the whole experience was worth it. Shakira is a professional who knows her craft well.

  • AMAZING!!!!

by Momma Steph on 8/10/25Valley Children's Stadium - FresnoRating: 5 out of 5

This show was amazing! I parked and was inside the stadium within 40 minutes. I got there around 7pm. The show it’s self was absolutely amazing! Definitely a whole vibe!! Epic! & the heat wasn’t to bad.

  • Shakira gave an amazing show!!!

    by Mari on 8/10/25Valley Children's Stadium - FresnoRating: 4 out of 5

Shakira was amazing!! The venue has some work to do when organizing for a concert vs their football games that they are used to.
