Great energy! My 2 1/2 & 4 yr olds loved it. Made it possible for kids to use their imagination.

Decent
by Anonymous on 4/30/13Michigan Theater - Ann ArborRating: 3 out of 5The storyline and acting was very good but the costumes were not even close to looking like actual Dr. Seuss Characters with the exception of Cat in The Hat (who was not exactly what you see in the book either). Other than the costumes not being realistic it was a great time.

Casa's Seussical Jr

Only if you love Seuss
by TM0013 on 4/30/13Michigan Theater - Ann ArborRating: 3 out of 5I was not overly impressed with this show. It was all about Horton Hears a Who and if you don't love that story then you will probably not enjoy this show. The singing was good but I could not understand a lot of the words. Not a lot of props used to keep my child's interest. He was waiting for it to be over and so was I. Could be better if they incorporated more of the stories of Dr. Seuss.
My Son Loved it!
by MaverickMom on 4/30/13Casa Manana - Fort WorthRating: 4 out of 5Took my 6 year old son to this show and he really loved it! No slow spots....performers were good....high energy show. Recommend reading the book Horton Hears a Who to your kids before going so they can follow the story a little better.

Strong voices and acting made it entertaining despite a lackluster and narrow storyline with a few costumes that seemed incomplete.
Loved it!
by Seussfan1 on 4/29/13Casa Manana - Fort WorthRating: 5 out of 5I'm 25 and went on a date to seussical. He gets a second date bc of his amazing date ideas. LOVED IT!
Only thr grinch wouldnt love this.
by moonflowerchild on 4/29/13Casa Manana - Fort WorthRating: 5 out of 5I took my nine year old neighbor. She had never been to a play before. Omg did we have fun. I couldnt believe the high quality of the singing. The sets and dancing were so colorful and fun. The woman next to me coulnt find a kid so she brought her grown daughter. They had as good a time as we did. I went to the Opera at Bass Hall that nite which was'nt near as good and many times more expensive. Even if you cant find a kid to take, go.
Horrible costuming
by dpoint on 4/29/13Casa Manana - Fort WorthRating: 2 out of 5The whole concept of the play would have been fantastic for my 5 year old except for the non-existent costumes. Without proper costumes it was hard to for him to understand that the big guy in the grey shorts and shirt was Horton the Elephant. The Cat in the Hat didn't even have a tail, none of the "birds" had wings (some of them didn't even have feathers), the "monkeys" were guys dressed in sequins with hairy arms, and the kangaroo was a lady dressed in orange with a kangaroo puppet on her hand. This is about as disapointed as I've ever been in a children's play as far as something to actually captivate the child. The talents of the performers were wonderful - the singing was great. I'm not sure if we will return to Casa Manana again for a children's production.

Seussical Was Wonderful
by WVBADBOY on 4/23/12Keith Albee Theater - HuntingtonRating: 4 out of 5My 10 year old daughter loved it. She was singing in the car while driving home and said she "couldn't get the songs out of her head". This was a great production with local casting that I highly recommend. The tickets were very well priced so take the entire family. We didn't take my 2 year old and wished we had because he would have enjoyed the eye-catching staging and songs.

The characters were well cast, and it actually was better than I expected. The grandkids adored it.
Seussical the Musical was the tops!
by APoppinsFan on 3/6/12Palace Theatre Columbus - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5We considered not attending this production as we aren't fans of Dr. Seuss books. But are we glad now that we felt the need to support the Pleasure Guild. The show was fantastic... the kids said probably their favorite of all the Pleasure Guild productions. The Cat in the Hat stole the show... however, they were outstanding performances by many on stage! Wonderful scenery, great choreography.... Our one complaint... it had to end!!!!!!!
Mezmerizing for my Kids

Suessical the Musical was wonderful!
by MKAE on 3/5/12Palace Theatre Columbus - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5For the fact that this was put on by all local talent, the show came off as if it were put on by professional actors. The show included all of my favorite Dr. Suess stories and a lot of great musical numbers.
