Low level set and acting. Very basic. Did not hold my children's interest.
We went to Sesame Street Live primarily for my 6 year old. Everyone in our family loved it! The songs were great, sets were well thought out and the show was the perfect length for a child. I would definitely attend again. We had a fantastic time.
Sesame Street Live, the show, was fine. It had many of the popular songs that you'd expect and a good variety of outrageously priced souvenirs to keep preschool aged children happy for an hour and change. Sesame Street Live, the photo experience, was awful. For nearly $300, we got to stand in line for an hour, meet two characters for 90 seconds while a disinterested staff member took pictures with our phone. That process may be fine for older kids. For young children, especially one with down syndrome, the delay followed by being rushed through the encounter doesn't really work. Add in that the person taking the photos seemed to have no desire to be there, no incentive to ensure a quality result and did not let you review the images before you're ushered off the stage, and you have all the ingredients for a disappointing experience. We left the photo expeoence with zero decent photos.
Sesame Street Live was such a great show for us! I took my almost 3 year old, and she enjoyed every minute! All of the kids were just captivated by the performances and the bubble wands sold at the merch table were awesome! Everything about the venue was set up for kids and so accommodating. We can’t wait for Sesame Street Live to come back to Birmingham!
I bought 4 tickets for me, husband, 3 y.o daughter and my mom. We got to our row and seated on the seats we thought ours. 10 mins before the show, one of the attendants told us we were seated on one wrong seat. So we had to get up and ended up with just 3 seats. The family next to us was a family of 4 as well and they were seated on our seats. I asked the person next to us what number she was seating on and confirmed that it was part of ours. She claimed that they have the same seat numbers as ours so I went to asked for help and an attendant came and checked our tickets and found out we had the same seat numbers. Great! Double booking! The husband of the other family was so mad saying “we bought our tickets and the seats are ours. My wife is pregnant and we are not leaving”. I was like, I bought mine too, duh! I was ready to give up our seats just to go on our way as long as they refund us and compensate for the trouble. The attendant asked to have one member of each family to come with her and settle it outside the theater with the organizer. So I and the another lady from the other party went with her. As soon as the other lady showed her tickets to the representative, they told her that their tickets were for the 6 pm show so ours were the right ones! The attendant was like “I want to see the husband’s reaction because he was so mad!” We went back and claimed our seats. The other family was not even sorry. I just hoped that the attendants were more attentive because it could have been settled right there and then when she looked at our tickets the first time. I missed 5 minutes of the show! But that was not it. After 20 mins of the show, another lady next to me asked me if we could move to the unoccupied seats on the other side as she was holding a lap baby and maybe she needed a little more space. She said I was sitting on the seat she bought. And I was like, not again! I told her that I was on the right seat and that we had the same problem earlier and we were seated appropriately with the help of the attendant and all. I was ready to show her my tickets but she went “nevermind. I trust you. I just hope they seat us properly”. So I was like, we are! But I kept it to myself and just ignored her. She was nice actually and did not bother us anymore after. We enjoyed the show especially my daughter who is a big fan of Sesame Street.
Really enjoyed the show with my 21month old daughter. She had a great time. Would research recommend.
Sesame Street Live was an amazing show. My toddler had a great time seeing and interacting with her favorite characters.
Lots of fun for the kiddos! Very engaging, I may have enjoyed it more than my daughter.
Granddaughter had a fantastic time. Loved seeing all the characters.
Awesome show for adults and littles. Would definitely recommend.
I purchased this for my nephew’s 19 month old son as a Christmas present versus toys. It was the best present!! The little guy enjoyed this show so much and fell in love with Elmo and the “puppy.” It melted my heart to watch him and his parents sing and dance along together with all the Sesame Street friends. It kept his attention span for the entire show!! Would highly recommend!!!
This show was really fun- an interactive and enjoyable experience for families, for sure. The show is a little short, so I didn't really feel like I got my money's worth but it was worth it to see the excitement and joy on my son's face as he danced and sang along with Elmo and friends!
My Granddaughter (4) and I loved it! My favorite part was watching her dancing, singing, and engaging with the show. Made my heart so happy!! She kept saying I like this and can we come back here every day. Thanks Sesame Street Live you made my day!
I loved bringing my own kids to Sesame Street Live when they were little. Now, my babies have their own babies! The grandkids (16 months and 3.5 yrs) really enjoyed the show. The show definitely is not as big or grand as it used to be but it is still cute. There were a lot less characters. The characters did not come through the crowd like they used to. The stage wasn't built out to the front center stage. It was just on the regular stage. Smaller production, but still worth it for the little ones.
It was so cute, my toddler loved. Lots of singing dancing and interacting with the crowds. Characters were wonderful and costumes were perfect, they looked amazing. We would definitely come back to see again.
I spent over $300 on tickets and a $40 toy for my granddaughter to see Elmo whom She adores. The show started late and after 45 minutes there was a 20 minute intermission!!!!!! With 3/5 of the audience under the age of 5 - what a terrible idea. Kids running everywhere and parents were grumbling. Even the seating attendants couldn’t believe it bc there was only 15 min left of the show!!!!! Oh the show started at 6 pm!?!?!? No dinner served. Obviously a man was in charge! What a joke!!!!! We left at intermissions hungry and tired!
It was a fun show. Great time length. The only thing I would change would be the time for the performance. The performance started during my child’s naptime. I wish there were options for more time frames. Other than that, we enjoyed the show
The show was basically what we watched on video. And the characters were great but I dont think they kept the children's attention. It was more of the parents watching that the kids. It was children 😢 and running around. My granddaughter was star struck and speechless. A moment to remember with my last granddaughter.
The kids a family was very much into the play , looking at the excitement from the children’s faces and interaction of the play.
We loved this? The kids had an amazing time dancing and singing along as did I and other parents from what I could tell. Ended earlier than anticipated. I do have some sort of suggestion, I noticed kids gathering the in the aisles along with my kids so they can dance? Maybe for this age group some sort of "pit"ticket could be useful. My littlest one wanted to run up to the front and dance and say hello. Maybe a contained pit for these party goers would be awesome.
