I'm not sure why a children's Sesame Street production was filled with modern day loud music. I was expecting songs more like ABCs, etc, rather than Jai Ho and Moves Like Jagger. Overly stimulating show. I would not recommend this show, unfortunately. I had high hopes for the show, and couldn't wait to take my children, as I remember seeing Sesame Street as a child. My, how things have changed. -Pediatrician Mom

Elmo and Zoey Kept her Attention!!

by GrammaBliss on 3/11/17Shea's Performing Arts Center - Buffalo

We brought our 11 and a half month old to see Sesame Street Live on Wednesday. She watches Sesame Street almost every day and got Peek a Boo Elmo for Christmas. The look on her face when she saw the characters on stage was priceless. Her older siblings attended earlier shows, when they were younger and this show was even better, for her.

It was hard to hear as it was loud in the audience. I realize it's a kids show but this is our third time going to Sesame Street Live and I don't recall not being able to hear. Souvenirs are overpriced.

Sesame Street Live not like it used to be.

by CGMommy on 3/11/17Shea's Performing Arts Center - Buffalo

The storyline this year was very boring. No background scene changes made it less interesting. The sound was also a bit jumbled and difficult to hear making it even worse and we were in the front rows. The show did not incorporate the classic songs from the TV series which would have been nice. The $25 Abby wand we purchased broke within hours. My toddlers had fun but lost interest about halfway through the show.

    Sesame Street Bigtime Fun

by Grandpasan on 3/11/17Shea's Performing Arts Center - Buffalo

Our 4yr old granddaughter's eyes opened wide as she saw the colorful brightly lit stage. She said "I can't believe how pretty this is". A cute well-done fun performance for young children. The popcorn at Shea's was overpriced(expected) but was really poor quality. It gave those of us that ate it stomach issues. Greasy, cold and mostly very small kernels.

    Great show for kids!

by KeithNYC on 3/10/17The Theater at Madison Square Garden - New York

I brought my kids to this show and they loved it! They are both 2.5 years old and loved seeing all of the Sesame Street characters. They enjoyed dancing with them as they sang their songs. There were also younger kids than mine at the show and they looked like they were having a great time as well.

    Great for All Ages

by LittleDudesMom on 3/8/17Mid Hudson Civic Center - Poughkeepsie

I honestly thought that my 14 mo old son would be too young for the the show. He had a BLAST I have video of him dancing and clapping along to Melmo (Elmo). I was worried he would be scared of the noise and crowds. But I had the fore thought to get seats further back from the stage which I think helped. If we had been closer with the kids jumping around and the noise it may have been too much. But where we were was perfect for us. Luckily since everyone was in the same boat no one was complaining about him being loud or dancing around.

    Energy was amazing

by huslynhrd10940 on 3/8/17Mid Hudson Civic Center - Poughkeepsie

The characters had so much energy ... especially cookie monster was a dancer .. they even walked around to greet n hug the children. Way too many people was in front that did not belong ... so maybe crowd control next time

    same as last year

by HueyOct on 3/8/17Mid Hudson Civic Center - Poughkeepsie

We attended the Sesame Street Live event at the Mid Hudson Civic Center on Sunday, March 5th. We take our children to this event every year and this year was definitely the worst experience for us. We missed the first 15 minutes of the show because people would not get to there seats and kept blocking our view. Our 4 seats were on the isle and we had to constantly move and had ushers flashing lights in our way to find guests seats. It was very distracting to both he kids and adults trying to enjoy the show. Secondly, it was the same exact show as last year. If the event is scheduled the same time each year, I think it would be important to change or bring in a different Sesame Street Live show to the community. We also heard from others that they were disappointed that it was the same performance from last year. Lastly, we think the cost of the event has gone up considerably from the ticket prices, concessions and souvenirs. With all being considered we will not be spending over $150 for this event in the future. Very disappointed....

    Sesame Street Live

by ZoeQuinn on 3/7/17Mid Hudson Civic Center - Poughkeepsie

We went to see "Make a New Friend" at the Mid-Hudson Civic Center. The show was about 1 hour 30 minutes, with a 10-15 intermission about halfway through. The show was good- lots of signing and dancing, but probably a little too long for most of the younger kids. My 2-year-old son (and many others) were antsy and melting down after the intermission. The venue was quite disappointing. Chairs were plastic like the ones used in elementary school. Not cushy like you would expect in a theater. It was also hard to see over tall people (stadium seating would have been much better). It was also a nightmare to get out of the venue and parking lot. Overall, I think it was a fun experience and my son had a good time, but I would shorten the show (by 15-20 mins) and find a venue where the seating is more conducive to allowing all kids to see.

    Great for all ages

by Sweet100 on 3/7/17Mid Hudson Civic Center - Poughkeepsie

Elmo and friends was a lot of fun for everyone. It had us all singing and dancing from the youngest to the oldest and the older ones having more fun than the youngest..... I will say it does get loud so if your kid is sensitive to sound bring ear muffs...it was a great show! The whole cast did amazing.

The show was great and the facility was set up perfect for the kids to stand in the outside aisle and dance if they needed to. the characters came out into the audience a few times which the kids loved.

    Good, but not great!

by jeannybeany on 3/7/17Mid Hudson Civic Center - Poughkeepsie

We went to last year's Sesame Street Live as well, and it was much better... This year's was good, and our 3 year old liked it, but it just didnt seem as lively and energetic as last years. It was still completely worth it, just not my favorite story line I guess. It was kind of slow at times.

    Long but Amazing!

by AIshaN on 3/4/17The Theater at Madison Square Garden - New York

The seats made the show! We had front row seats where my almost 3 year old could dance near our seats and see everything up close and touch the characters whenever they descended from stage. What an experience! I recommend cutting out the intermission and cutting the show by 30 minutes. Just a half hour too long for kids.

    Beautiful show!

by JRMSG on 3/1/17The Theater at Madison Square Garden - New York

Entertaining, educational, fit several kid's ages, colorful, it was fun and I saw many kids following the story and not only the dynamic of each song.
