  • Second City Touring Show is best forgotten!!!

by DogWalker2 on 10/17/17E.J. Thomas Hall - The University of Akron - AkronRating: 4 out of 5

We had gone to a Second City show in Chicago and had never laughed so hard!!! When I found there was going to be a Second City show in Akron, we were excited to go. However, this show paled in comparison to Chicago. I found very little humor in their skits and antics. At times, I felt like getting up and leaving the show. Disappointing!!!

Second City says it all. They came in second most of the evening. They did give it the old college try, but the repeated shout out..."Why did you fuck my wife" was a real downer. Did not seem to apply to that skit.

  • Great show!

by Cbusip on 9/26/16Lincoln Theatre - COLUMBUSRating: 5 out of 5

The Second City Touring Company show was lots of fun! The cast was great. Improv shows can sometimes feel like they drag on a bit, but this moved at a nice pace. I look forward to seeing these actors again in the future. The show was funny and human and parts were touching, a nice antidote to the political situation we find ourselves in. Would definitely recommend!

Overall a very funny show, and the improv parts were great! A few skits went on too long, but in general it was a hilarious show!

  • Great show but lousy seats

Good but not the best and I saw second city in Chicago. This may be a bit disappointing but good enough.

  • Should have just left early

    by Jubili75 on 4/3/16The Wilbur - BostonRating: 2 out of 5

I did get some laughs out of the first half, but the second half was boring, awkward and sometimes painful. Skits that weren't very good in the first place went on way too long. I kept hoping it would get better, but no. Wish we had left.

It was great! There some super funny bits and even one that did not go over as well, still were great! Very intelligent comedy!

Second time seeing Second City at the Lincoln Theater. Great venue to see this very funny show. Recommend highly.

  • Hilarious!!

    by soulfulginger8 on 4/13/15Lincoln Theatre - COLUMBUSRating: 5 out of 5

This show was a great performance by The Second City! I enjoyed hearing jokes about Columbus and feeling like they were talking directly to the audience; they really did their homework. The improv group of six provided a nice mix versus one comedian. If you didn't like one person there were five others doing skits...although I thought all were hilarious. This show was definitely not for young children. There was a lot of sexual humor and cursing, which was spot on but not for little ears. The show consisted of two acts, each one hour, separated by a fifteen minute intermission. I would happily pay to see The Second City again!

  • tears.... of laughter

    by topherbd16 on 4/13/15Lincoln Theatre - COLUMBUSRating: 5 out of 5

Seen Second city in Chi 3 times. 2 out of 3 were hilarious. Seen Second City twice in Columbus. This was by far the best. A couple zingers during improv had my wife and I in tears and stomach hurting from laughter. Exactly why I went.

  • Lots of laughs

by jmills2 on 10/14/14Vogel Hall Marcus Center - MilwaukeeRating: 4 out of 5

This was a most excellent show. One of the few times I can say a comedy show was well worth the money. The six players explored human relationships and interactions that unite us all and stayed away from political commentary that often would divide an audience, with the obvious exception of promoting the gay lifestyle.. They did historic pieces from the 55 years of history of Second City Productions as well as new improv setting that could have never been seen on state before, at least as they exactly presented them. They are clever talented young people. All in all, it was a splendid show!

  • really funny!

Second City was great! Funny, witty, on spot. Would like to see them in Milwaukee again.

  • I expected better

by MazzDadd on 10/14/14Vogel Hall Marcus Center - MilwaukeeRating: 3 out of 5

The performers were likable and talented with scripted skits however the group as a whole lacked the ability to perform well with the improvisational comedy part of the show. I would give an additional 1/2 star if I could as they performed for nearly two hours; a good value for the money.

  • 2nd City was awesome

Awesome show. Highly recommend to anyone who hasn't seen before.

Overall the show was just alright. There were some very funny spots, but generally disappointing… certainly not worth the $45/ticket.

  • Second City

I was disappointed. Additionally they screamed in their Mic's which made it too loud.

Second City made for a perfect family night. It was worth the money and was enjoyed by all. Had dinner afterwards and dissected all the things that made us laugh. Would highly recommend this to any college to bring on to their campus. It was a nice city perk that we were lucky enough to be able to enjoy without putting the burden on the college student that had a football game she wanted to attend the following day.
