It just wasn’t funny. Yelling curse words without context isn’t funny. Repeated foul language without jokes isn’t funny. I don’t mind mature language or content and am open in my social views, but the show just wasn’t funny. There were a couple of things that could have been humorous, but really, no.
I've seen high school shows that were funnier than this. The only funny parts were when they were interacting with the audience and it was what the audience members were saying that was funny not the group.
Lots of fun! Great group of performers. I would go again!
The show was good and had some comical moments, but honestly I thought the material would be way better. I've seen comedy troops in Chicago that were hilarious and I expected Second City to be just as good, but most of the material they had prewritten was not that great.. at all. The funny moments actually came from the Improv and Crown Participation portions. So perhaps they need better writing? Still a fun night but just thought their material would be better.
I thought this was going to be an all improve show, but most of it was basically skits. The skits weren't good. There were micro bits, that were fun, but the skit format dragged, and just wasn't funny. They closed with true improve, and it was hilarious. They should stick with the improv format.
Still waiting to laugh. Super disappointed as it just wasn’t funny to the point you smiled or busted out laughing.
Second city is the gold standard for sketch/improv, and the traveling show was every bit as funny as the 2 shows I’ve seen in Chicago.
The venue was great and the cast was amazing. Go watch if you have a chance!
Second City at the Lincoln Theatre was hilarious. I have recommended it to many people already and would go see it again if I had time. Great entertainment. The actors were wonderful and on top of their game the whole time. Didn't want the show to end!
I have never laughed so hard! Actors were brilliant! Show was fantastic from beginning to end! Second City has been on my bucket list--it did not disappoint!
