  • Great show,bad sound

by mikeynhvl on 9/11/10Buckhead Theatre - AtlantaRating: 4 out of 5

The Scissor Sisters opening show of their new tour at the Buckhead Theatre was really good, Everyone looked great, especially Jake. The venue has been lovingly broungt back to her former glory. The opening act was weak. But it is hard just singing to a track. The DJ that was spinning during the breaks was very good. The audio was way too loud. I was in the balconey and hopefully the sound was better on the floor.

  • We are Scissor Sisters - and So Are You!

    by KDN37 on 9/10/10Ogden Theatre - DenverRating: 5 out of 5

Six and a half years ago, the Scissor Sisters stopped by the Gothic in Denver to promote their debut album. 2 albums later, after hundreds of shows in Europe and months on the top of the charts (except for the States), they returned to Denver for a stop on their tour for Night Work. It was worth the wait!! The show was INCREDIBLE!! For nearly two hours, our Sisters hosted a party where everyone was welcome. Jake looked amazing, and his energy was contagious. Learning halfway through the show that he suffering with a chest cold only made his exuberant performance better. Ana was the perfect combination of fierce and funny. Del looked and sounded awesome, and Baby Daddy worked his magic with a shy sexiness. Together with the rest of the band and two backup singers, they ripped the roof off the Ogden. They played most of the songs off their new album "Night Work" but threw in just enough from "Tah-Dah" and their debut album to showcase their versatility and growth over the years. Their sound and style never cease to fascinate me or make me smile. Their forward-looking take on the past permeates Night Work, a celebration of the NYC club scene before the onset of AIDS. This show was the perfect ending to summer. With the recent news that they will join Lady Gaga on the next leg of her US Monster Ball Tour, I think the Scissor Sisters are about to receive the notariety they deserve in this country.

  • On another planet for a moment in time...

by ScissorsGeek on 9/10/10Ogden Theatre - DenverRating: 5 out of 5

I may be biased because Scissor Sisters are one of my favorite bands. I have been to several great shows this year, and in recent years...NIN, Tool, Billy Joel, Elton John, Ingrid Michealson, Sarah McLachlin...Wide mix, When Sisters started their set, I pretty much had a perma-grin. I usually don't cheer at the top of my lungs, but at this show I did, and I was even sort of dancing. Completely sober. It usually takes much alcohol before I do any dancing. No disrespect to the other great shows I have seen, but this one has given me the most satisfaction out of all of them. When the show ended, I wished it wouldn't end.

  • SS rocked the house!

by EddieKCMO on 9/9/10EPIC - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

Totally over the top fun! SS engaged with the audience and kept us dancing the entire time. We were very lucky to see them in such an intimate space since they are HUGE in Europe and Asia. Would recommend their music and shows to anyone...and I do, all the time.

  • I found a whole new way to love...

by milstrongforcarriewood on 9/8/10Riviera Theatre - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Other than the venue being beyond ridiculously hot, the show was amazing. Scissor Sisters are never ones to disappoint and their high energy and stage banter really add a nice touch to the performance. Ana Matronic was in full form, and she killed it. Jake Shears, being Jake Shears, was pure sexuality (as always!). Their glittery dose of glam rock was just what the doctor ordered.

  • AMAZING

by Cooshee on 9/8/10Ogden Theatre - DenverRating: 5 out of 5

The opening act, Caser Spooner, was lame. He stood in front of a mic and sang karaoke to his own songs which no one had ever heard of before. There was no musicians playing, just recorded music. I liked Fisher SPooner a few years ago but this half of them was not good. Conversely, the Scissor Sisters were INCREDIBLE! They are amazing performers and very entertaining. Jake Shears was even sick and he put on an AWESOME show. I would def go again.

Have never been to terminal 5 before - it was an awesome venue....multiple tiers to view the show. Jake and Ana rocked the house. Missed their Tah-Dah concert a few years back. This completely made up for it!!
