School of Rock on tour - The ultimate field trip!
Andrew Lloyd Weber's high-octane Broadway & West End hit will soon be rocking up to a city near you! Based on the hit film, this irresistible new musical follows Dewey Finn, a failed, wannabe rock star who decides to earn a few extra bucks by posing as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school. There he turns a class of straight-A students into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping, mind-blowing rock band.

We loved the movie, and the show was equally amazing! Great energy from the whole cast, and the kids were phenomenal! Worth seeing again and again!
We love the movie so had high expectations for the musical. We thoroughly enjoyed the performance of School of Rock. The children were extremely talented and Dewey was awesome. We were on our feet "rocking out" at the battle of the bands. Can't say enough about the show. We were ready to come back the next day to see it again! Had a great time!
It’s a fun show for the entire family. The kids are energetic and so talented.
Good fun! Well done show, all roles excellent but kids were amazing.
Such a great musical! My 13 year old had a blast! We love all the music and singing!
The show was fantastic! The kids were amazing! We highly recommend!!
Riveting performance. So much energy. Kids were great.
Fun show to see with the family - the kids loved it. They felt like they were at a "real concert" at the end. Would definitely recommend.
Wonderful show that I highly recommend. The kids were fantastic. My only criticism is that in one scene some very bright strobe lights were pointing out towards the audience which was quite uncomfortable and annoying.
Hi energy show packed with talent! We absolutely loved it! The musical stuck very close to the original movie with many new songs woven throughout the production. The one thing this family of School of Rock fans missed in the musical production was the “Pledge allegiance to the band of Mr Schneebly “ scene. Other than that , no complaints. We enjoyed the show immensely, the cast was fantastic, scenery was simple and spot on, highly recommend seeing this musical!
What a fun musical! The show was great and enjoyed by my whole family! The young performers were amazing. Go see it.
All around entertaining! It was funny and emotional with a superb cast and phenomenal music! We loved it!
The kids are so talented, and the music was great. What a fun show!
Everything was great! Plenty of places to eat around the theater all in walking distance. The Boston opera house is beautiful! The Employees were all curtesy admission went smooth. The performers I was so impressed with all of them, they all did a great job! If you are thinking about going don’t think just do it!
Our kids have grown up since we saw School of Rock the movie, and the show did not have the same impact as the movie did. Very well performed but probably better as a family outing.
We had been looking forward to this show for quite a while. Unfortunately I could not always clearly hear the lyrics. Enjoyable main character and loved the school principal's jukebox song. The kids playing skills were superb (and real), and boy can they jump all night long. The music coming from the orchestra pit for the rest of the show was excellent too. I have always enjoyed Andrew Lloyd Weber's music (especially Jesus Christ Superstar), and he certainly found the right places to add a song. Very clever use of the stage space and set, and the show moves promptly along.
We went to go see the show on Tuesday night but we're up in the balcony. We loved it so much we got tickets to go see it closer. We had two different "Dewey's" on the different nights, but they were both awesome! And those kids! I'm sure they will ask be famous someday. So so fabulous. We go to almost all broadway shows, and this one ranks at the top.
As a fan of the movie, I was deeply skeptical that anyone could possibly play the role of Dewey better than Jack Black. In fact, I secretly hoped he would make a surprise appearance as the lead in this musical. However; much to my surprise and pleasure, Merritt David Janes as Dewey was phenomenal! His sound, mannerisms, lewd behavior, and physical appearance was spot on. I think I have been witness to Jack Black's doppelganger! In addition, the rest of the cast was just as good and entertaining. The kids actually playing the instruments...WOW! I highly recommend the show to families for a roaring good time! #STICKITTOTHEMAN
Adults were great. Kids were amazing. Well worth the money. The kids do use a few profanities like in the movie so dont get offended. Their talents on the instruments were impressive and inside was celebrating with them all. I'm 51 and i felt like a kid again watching this musical. Brilliant!
