Saratoga Race Course Porch Dining Tickets

We attended August 3-7 and had a blast. Some seats on the Porch can get too sunny and hot as the day goes on, but all my tables were in the shade and protected from rain and sun. Steak tacos were incredible. Staff super friendly and helpful. I could see the finish line, take two steps and be at rail, even close to horses coming onto track. All in all a beautiful experience for the price, but avoid those sunny tables! They can get uncomfortable on a hot day.

I highly recommend The Porch as a place to watch a rave and have a fun day with friends. The servers are super friendly. The menu can use major improvements. It’s on a par with Panera Bread and a far higher price. The exception is the breakfast: the food is good and the tour is fascinating.

Sat at table b23. One step up from ground so need to be careful if you have 4 at table but isolated from people in front of us and also one step down from next level . Round Table for 4 however small and more like table for 3. Only had 2 at table because I have been there b4. Service was fine but they are quite busy. Had bottle of wine and sandwich which was very good. Staff was very friendly and efficient. They definitely improved their operation over the last few years and the food I think is much better. Is it a little expensive..yes but not to! Really no complaints.

A table for 2 is way in the back even though I made reservations early.

Fabulous spot to watch the races. Our table was right by the Finish Line. The hostesses were welcoming and the Wait Staff was right on top of your needs. Definitely make reservations at the Porch again.

Opening day is always crazy so we don’t count on good service or even receiving our food. I’ve been going for years and it’s the same every time. I love the porch dining experience but would not recommend getting a table in the front closest to the track or the 1863 club. The sun moves around and there is no shade on a hot day. Our server was very pleasant and honest about the situation in the kitchen. We never received our food or waters that we asked for several times. In order to meet our $25 per person requirement we ordered a bottle of champagne. Even that came 2 hours into the day. In the meantime we grabbed drinks from elsewhere and food from shake shack. We are there for the horse racing and social aspect. Things do get better a week in.

The food options/quality at the porch.... is very poor. Saratoga should have premium quality food.....the clientele will pay for it.... Also...the seating is jammed to maximize squeezing in people and everyone getting up to bet and wait staff...trying to serve makes it quite irritating with the constant squeezing by your seat etc...

WE HAD A BEAUTIFUL DAY FOR HORSE RACING, LUNCH AND APPRECIATING THE BEAUTIFUL HORSES AND JOCKEYS AT SARATOGA SPRINGS RACETRACK.

Our group was very pleased with the location, service, price, personnel, and ambiance of our day on the "Porch" at Saratoga Race Course!

The food was awful. Very small amount. The food was cold. The bread and pita pieces were cold. The chicken salad was the worst ever. Wasn’t eatable. The seating was terrible. People knocking in to people sitting at the table. The table was so small you couldn’t even have room for the dish of food for the people sitting at table. This was the worst experience forever since going there for the last 18 years

We have been at the track a few times this year and have always enjoyed the food. Nothing fancy but good. We understand that it’s a race track. Great location to watch the finish line. Love the ability to walk from your table to the rail. Service can be sketchy.

Track side, almost on the finish line. Ticketmaster doesn’t understand racing. Limited me to three tables (12 seats) over three day. I need two tables(8seats) one day. Couldn’t reserve it. Racing is a game, we are players. The more players at the track, the better for the handle. And if you don’t know what the handle is you have no business being in this game.

Tables are too small, considering food, beverages and condiments and silverware are put on the table- not to mention the racing programs of the guests. Menu can be upgraded to include more offerings, including pizza and greater sandwich selections.

Always love the Saratoga porch to enjoy the races, but this year the tables were too close together. Feels too crowded and no path to walk to bet or to watch races at the rail.

The porch is an excellent place to watch the races. The food is very good and reasonably priced. Staff is very good, attentive to our needs. Overall an excellent experience.

Service was excellent, table was comfortable but the food was very average, the menu is very limited and could use a little more variety. Overall it was a lovely day and very enjoyable.

The chicken Cesar salad was just ok. Our friends said the burger and steak tacos were good! The Mediterranean platter could have used more pitas! Melon and prosciutto was good, also. Our server was very good. Not sure why they ran out of the mix for spritzer cocktails (which were the least expensive ones on the menu). Food pricey and the cocktails and wine was quite pricey, especially when served in tiny cups. All in all, it was a fun day and The Porch is a great place to enjoy the races!

When I reserved table in April it showed my row 1 table nearest the track when we arrived the Row 1 was the inside table furthest away. Was disappointed. Waitress was excellent. Food was good quality.
