Better off getting to the track early in finding a spot, this area really has nothing to offer other than reserving a table there is nothing in this area except tables that are on top of each other ,the bathrooms are too far the betting both too avoid
The kids working the entrance said: our scanners never work so you don’t need your tickets. Go ahead in … imagine paying top dollar to sit in a special area where they just let anyone in - ticket or no ticket- ?!
Great experience. I recommend the Miller light paddock tables. Very convenient to keep all your stuff there and then walk the three minutes to the track to see the race. Or if you don’t feel like walking to the track, you watch on the flatscreen TVs which is located in the paddock. Don’t forget a picnic table cover liner.
Our group has been renting tables in Miller Lite area for three years in a row and looking forward to our Fourth. It is a great deal and you don’t have to worry about getting a table or lugging chairs. Bring a cooler and snacks. Easy walk to track or TVs in area to watch races. Betting machines less than 100 feet away. LOVE it.
we didn't win much on the horses but we won at the race track with the miller lite picnic tables!
Admission to race track as well as admission to picnic area included. We found that children were free and did not have to be counted as part of the 6 per table. Picnic area is near paddock..nice for kids.
I've gotten a table in the Miller Lite Paddock numerous times and the area was overrun with people who did not have tickets. Anyone was able to access the area at anytime, which made it overly crowded. Whitney Day was the first time I have seen wrist bands being checked. Jim Dandy day anyone was allowed in.
If you are interested or curious about what draws us to racing, a big race day at Saratoga is the place to go. Plenty of action, food, fun and people.
Tables MUCH close together unless you’re family...young girls working admission were far from well trained...Call it paradise and kiss it goodbye...unless you want to buy a $250 seat in the 1863 Club...that’s a lot of winning tickets. Where else can we squeeze out the small fish?
Amazing time. Perfect location - close to everything and our grandson loved watching the horses getting ready for their race. Watched them right from our picnic table. Definitely will do this again next year.
Saratoga Race Track is beautiful! Doesn’t matter where you sit. Picnic table area is a great way to spend a day at the track and be guaranteed a table
The main advantage to using the picnic paddock is you don't have to stress out to find an area for several people without arriving hours early. The tables are packed in pretty tightly though, and it wasn't cheap.
It's a little expensive but it was nice not having to get there real early to reserve a table that day. It's a beautiful area of the track but it could be situated closer to betting windows and restrooms.

The picnic paddock makes going to the teack with a family so much easier, it’s just great!
Reserved picnic tables is the way to go to the races, The tables separate you from the crowds. They are right by the paddock area so you can get a good look at the horses and watch the jockeys saddle up. Food and coolers allowed so you can have a relaxing time (between races!!).
We REALLY needed more space between tables. Somebody needs to supervise the placement of tables...6 of us could barely move. B4.....Young girls working there were very confused, and this was August 9 ?????
We did not stay there. We were not told chairs could not be used in that area. Moved to a much better site. Will not reserve tables again!
Great view of all the participants as they ready for the races at the country's oldest sports venue. A step back into time! Awesome day. There is no place like it in the world!
It was great to have a Picnic table waiting for you under the shade on a beautiful summer day. No need to rush and fight the crowd.
