Sandi Patty was inspiring and memorable!

by SKParker on 10/9/13Fred Kavli Theatre-Thousand Oaks Civic Arts - Thousand Oaks

Sandi gave an inspiring and God honoring concert with a warm and down to earth personality. (So rare today) No pretense or flashy stuff to detract from the wholesomeness and heart of the artist and music. The songs were beautiful. Sandi has a fantastic voice and that is what you heard - pure voice with a fantastic piano accompaniment.

It was such a great spiritually uplifting evening. Her voice is really incredible. Loved her "Via da la Rosa" It brought chills to my body. The orchestra was amazing. Loved the duet at the end by the 2 people in the choir. It was such a standing ovation. People wanted more.

A night of Star Lead Worship

by plccontrolwizard on 3/28/12BJCC Concert Hall - Birmingham

My wife asked me to take her to this concert. She had sang back-up for Sandi as part of a church chior in Birmingham over 25 years ago. "Okay", I said, "we will go on a date". Being married for 25 years makes a unique date a little challenging. When Sandi sang her first song my wife clenched my hand. I knew she would would enjoy this concert. Then something unexpected happened to me. Being a "Rocker" from the 70s, I enjoyed Sandi but she was not on my "Playlist". Sandi, Larnell, Wayne, 4 HIM, Clay. Worship, sing praise, celebrating, Jesus. I found myself standing, clapping, singing at the Top of My Lungs(not caring that I cannot carry a tune), AMEN, AAMEN. What a night. I was rocking to the Lord. The Concert hall was full of sound and had to contain the SOUND of True Worship, as only the Group Of Stars could lead. The Ultimate Praise Team. If someone needed a spiritual lift I say GO. Amen, AAMEN Amen, AAMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Sandi and Friends were incredible!!

by SandiFan on 3/27/12BJCC Concert Hall - Birmingham

What an awesome evening with Sandi, Larnelle, Wayne, Clay, and 4Him. Voices were superb, setting was intimate, and artists sang all the favorites. Great worship experience, and highly recommended. The artists all sat on stage during the performances, which made it more special to watch as they worshipped and showed their appreciation, and sang along just as we all did. What a night!

    Unfortunate

by JWMC64 on 3/26/12BJCC Concert Hall - Birmingham

The Sandi patty and Friends concert could have been an unforgettable night but instead it left me feeling like I was watching a commercial. Sandi spent way to much time on the India kids plea and way to much time telling jokes. When Wayne Watson doesn't have time to sing "The Master's Touch" then something should be adjusted. I felt none of the acts really were able to perform their biggest hits. The Sandi and Larnell duet of "I've Just Seen Jesus" kept the evening from being a complete waste of time. If I wanted to see a comedy act I would go to Mark Lowery. Sandi needs to let her friends do what they are known for and leave the jokes on the bus. I was glad I got the tickets for half price.

The concert was worth the money and time spent to attend. It is hard for other singers to compete with the likes of Sandi Patty and Larnell Harrris. My wife and I didn't care for the quartet For Him. They did not add to the concert. Wayne Watson was good but the other male singer was just so so.

    The evening was wonderful

by SueM56 on 3/26/12BJCC Concert Hall - Birmingham

My husband and I really enjoyed the whole evening, from beginning to end. I was not ready for it to be over. Sandi brought back such good memories for me by starting off with the "old" stuff. The whole evening was such a time of worshiping the Lord.

    FOND MEMORIES

by BlueEyes553 on 3/26/12BJCC Concert Hall - Birmingham

I am a huge Sandi Patty fan and have been to many concerts where she has performed. She and Larnelle sang my favorite song "I've Just Seen Jesus"! The crowd was not as large as I would have liked it, but the presence of God was in the concert hall for sure! Sandi is very down to earth, has a great sense of humor, and a God given talent to sing his praises! I could have stayed all night and listened to every song she has ever recorded. I sure hope she comes back again and again!!! Memories...wonderful!

Very under promoted & under advertised--GREAT NITE

by MommaParrothead on 3/26/12BJCC Concert Hall - Birmingham

4 Him, Clay Crosse, Wayne Watson, and Larnelle Harris with Sandi Patty was a GREAT concert in the BJCC concert hall. POSITIVELY FABULOUS AND LONG OVERDUE!!!!!!!!!!!!! ****The saddest thing is that it was SO under-promoted and under-advertised.***** Because people missed a real treat and some wonderful music and worship!! There was the infomercial for the India Gospel League (read also Compassion International, Invisible Child, blah blah blah). I'm sure Sandi had to do this as part of her deal, but I hate when they do that. Fortunately, she was brief and honest in her commercial. I give to foreign missions through the Southern Baptist Convention Cooperative Program, so I don't donate to these organizations.
