  • Most wonderful concert!

    by Wendy D on 12/20/24The Stanley - UticaRating: 5 out of 5

Spectacular Irish Christmas music and singing, bringing the true meaning of Christmas and the worship of Christ to the forefront. The Gettys and guests are top notch musicians and singers, putting on a show that will bring Christmas joy and blessings!

  • Great Evening, a little loud

by Danrhoda on 12/18/24The Stanley - UticaRating: 5 out of 5

We had a wonderful time. Show was fantastic, very encouraging. Theater staff and facilities were top notch. My only critique is that with a very large age range in attendance the fact you could feel the bass in your chest, and the sound in general was overpowering was a little disappointed. We brought my mom to the show (84) and I worried that it was too much at times.

This has to be one of the best Christmas concerts I have been to. Definitely worth seen if they are in your area. The music is so amazing. Would definitely recommend and will be going to again if they come to the area.

  • WONDERFUL

The Gettys delivered with their usual musical expertise an exciting, inspirational concert. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

  • Over-bassed!

by Mike B on 12/10/24BJCC Concert Hall - BirminghamRating: 2 out of 5

My wife and I saw the Getty's perform at Carnegie Hall Christmas 2022. In retrospect, the acoustics were fantastic! This year's performance at the BJCC seemed to be mostly about the jarring bass levels of the drums and electric guitar, which made for some fairly noisy songs. Was this intentional? Perhaps there's an effort to expand the group's awareness. But this concertgoer would have been satisfied to have HEARD the concert - without having to have FELT it too!!! Also, this concert would have benefited from the talents of additional artists - like Skaggs and Whalum - included in previous performances.

  • Beautiful but LOUD

by Jimmy on 12/10/24BJCC Concert Hall - BirminghamRating: 4 out of 5

Of course they are talented and we appreciated the worship time However the BASS was so loud our chest compressed and even my shirt sleeve vibrated. Totally unnecessary and counterproductive to everything else. People around us commented the same thing. We heard the Gettys in Pigeon Forge last yr and they were more effective without the Heavy bass pounding. God bless you guys.

  • Great Irish Music

  • Fabulous sing along

    by Larry2 on 12/10/24BJCC Concert Hall - BirminghamRating: 5 out of 5

Gettys brought a lot of energy and spirit of Christmas to the concert. Great music. Great harmony. I normally hate to sing but they had me on my feet singing loudly. Such a variety of music. It was like a church service, a concert, and a fun night. Loved it.
