San Francisco 49ers History
The San Francisco 49ers were established in 1946 as a member of the All-America Football Conference and later joined the NFL in 1950 when the leagues merged. Tony Morabito, founder of the San Francisco 49ers, was the sports pioneer of the West, bringing San Francisco its first major league team in a professional sports business that was dominated by the East Coast.
By 1979, the 49ers had won three NFC West Division Championships, but with the introduction of quarterback Joe Montana, the team quickly began to dominate the NFL. By 1981, the San Francisco 49ers won their first Super Bowl Championship (XVI) and would go on to repeat their Super Bowl Success in 1984 (XIX), 1988 (XXIII), 1989 (XXIV), and again in 1994 (XXIX).
By 2013, the 49ers once again found themselves playing in a Super Bowl Championship (XLVII) against the Baltimore Ravens. With a surprising loss of 31-34, the San Francisco 49ers left the Super Bowl for the first time without a victory. The team would return to the Super Bowl in 2020 and 2024, but fell in both games to the Kansas City Chiefs. The team has produced a number of notable Hall of Fame players throughout its history, including Bob Saint Clair, Jimmy Johnson, Ronnie Lott, Dave Wilcox, Steve Young, Fred Dean, and Jerry Rice, alongside head coach Bill Walsh.

Great game great win great place for a game loved it
Such a great time out to football back at Levis. The staff was great!
Parking directions poor. Long walk to stadium. Security good and actual entry was fine. The lines for concessions were unacceptable, way too long and we did not purchase anything to eat or drink. This was with the stadium half full! Very disappointed with the 49ers organization especially considering how expensive football tickets are.
My wife and I decided not to attend at the last minute. Although we are both vaccinated our daughter isn’t. We look forward to things getting better so that we can get back to Levi. Go Niners!
It was my first time n it was a great experience I had a great time
It started when i could not transfer two of my tickets to someone else via the platform. Then when o got there, the turnstile was really quick and almost injured my nephew. Once there i experience many problems using the Levi's app especiallt with food orders. Veey frustrating and i hope they fix these issues before Saturday.
Every thing was so great, beyond description. GOD WILLING Planning on going to every game this season.
Open practice was more fun than expected. I loved how early they opened the parking lot and gates. It was easy to show bar codes for tickets. I do like the cashless system.
Love it. Want to go there more often with some friends
My husband and I are huge Niners fans, and have gone to Training Camp in past years. We have a new baby who is 6 months old and decided to make the venture down to the stadium from the North Bay. We had a great time! The communication prior to the event with updates on tickets, entry and Covid rules was very thorough, which I appreciated. The only thing that was very confusing was that there were several references to parking passes which would be in the Niners app, and I was not able to locate any specific parking passes or info on where we were supposed to park. We ended up just randomly going to one of the parking lots and told them we didn't know how to find the passes and they just let us in. I am still not sure where I was supposed to locate parking information, despite following the instructions in the emails, so I think that piece could be communicated more clearly next time. Thanks!
I could not get my parking pass on your site. It would not let me pay and send to phone. tried for 2 hours all different ways phone laptop desktop all the same. CAUSED QUITE A PROBLEM WHEN I WENT TO PARK. FIX YOUR SYSTEM IT WAS NOT ON OUR END. MIKE
I had a fun time watching the Niners practice. Being able to watch them again is truly amazing!
I brought my son to Levi’s for the first time ever. We both had a great experience that we will remember for life. There an obstacle of hiding the toy football helmet and sons favorite football. I was expecting since the helmet was on my sons head that it would be consider a hat. And the football was for getting signed by the players. I ended up getting lucky tho by hiding both items under a cone in the parking lot. We had a great experience and am looking for for trips back to the stadium.
I made sure to share my tickets with certain individuals, that normally never get to attend. They had a wonderful time & were super grateful for the opportunity. The truly enjoyed the stadium and watching the team practice. Thank you 49er Organization for all you do!
The new way to order food sucked. It was a horrible experience. Even for season ticket holders certain foods were suppose to be free but the app wasnt applying it.
The Open Practice was well organized and the fans were told what the agenda was going to be. The fans had a chance to bring their families at a reasonable cost. We had a chance to watch what we wanted like linework O and D, D-Backs, Linebackers, QB to Backs and Receivers, as well as kickers. Great time for all! MIM was introduced with some problems, that needs some work prior to game situation.
Watching the Niners practice was great, but that was it. Parking and concessions where not even near the standard of previous years. They have a lot of work to do.
First time going to an open practice but definitely won’t be the last. I had such a good time. Since covid is still around players could really come up to us close but some still risked it and did. Everything was super easy had no problem/problems the whole time I was there.
I was fortunate to sit in the handicap section chair without having to climb down stairs in section 101 row 12. How can I reserve a chair for when I do attend a game? Exciting to see alot of families with their children dressed on 49er gear.
