The show was truly a SHOW! One of the most entertaining chorus events I have ever attended-it did not disappoint but went way beyond my expectations. I am now waiting for their next performance in July!!
Plenty of great singing, music and dancing. I will be returning for the next show. Highly recommended.
Wow, what a show! So much energy, such great music and so well performed. The San Diego Gay Men’s Chorus continue to raise the bar and Motown was another quantum leap up. The singing was spot on, choreography appropriate and well performed and the band was phenomenal. And, the dancers ... Incredible! Whether a love song like You Are the Sunshine of my Life or a high energy number like Ain’t No Mountain High Enough or the sultry Midnight Train to Georgia, every song was completely entertaining and the story well told. Congratulations on another fantastic show!
Wonderful song selection, amazing costumes and choreography, beautiful singing and music.
we had great seats, the conductor/MC was awesome. met some of the guys at lunch, and then after the show on the sidewalk. we all really enjoyed the show. I loved the videos and hearing the stories from the performers. AND the Aretha tribute
Another entertaining show. Great music selection and dance routines. Perhaps lower sound of background music so we can hear their voices better. They were drowned out by the music several times.
Well produced and exciting programme. Thought provoking back projections and good costumes for the dancers. Our only criticism is of the sound balance. We could hear the band, particularly the drum and bass over the chorus. Would like to have heard more of the voices. We were row L122/1. Overall a great show and regret we won't be around to hear more.
The show was amazing first time going enjoyed the songs that were played along with the the performers that did their skids. Look forward to their next performance of Cher.
I took my mom to see Jingle for her birthday and we both loved it. What a wonderful experience. The singing was amazing, the skits were joyful and fun. All together one of the best performances I have ever seen. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to experience two hours of laughter, tears and an overall good feeling.
I will definitely attend this as my new annual Christmas event.
In my opinion, the best of the best performing arts groups in all of San Diego! With Artistic Director RC Haus at the helm of the selections/presentations as well as the amazing execution and commitment of every event that these gentlemen do with Bob Lehman at the helm. You will not find a moment in any of their shows that do not strike a "cord" with you on some level. Emotionally, Entertaining and amazingly talented combinations never disappoint! You will only be sad that it is over..
The Balboa Theater is a wonderful venue for the SDGMC! Lodge seats, well organized volunteer ushers and staff. I will be back soon...Motown in the spring!
Just an all around fun time!! The conductor/host was funny and engaging. The show was great!
Excellent show. We thoroughly enjoyed this performance! Great music. Great dancing. Great musicians.
Venue was great, program well organized, concert itself quite fun!
This was my first GMC event. Loved it! I was expecting 70-80 men, but wow, what a fantastic and large group.
The sell out show at the Balboa Theater was fantastic! A chorus of over 100, had perfectly choreographed movements and costumed dancers added fun to the upbeat ABBA Music.
They were great. The show was so much fun! And the singing was topnotch!
amazing!!! gay men singing abba yass. very entertaining.
