Super cute, lot of shops, very family friendly and a great way to spend the day. Seeing a Mutton bustin event is a must!
Need to include more rock bands from the 70's and 80's.
Great family entertainment! Top rodeo talent and entertainment.
San Antonio rodeo is the best in Texas. The support staff is always friendly and helpful. The rodeo draws the top cowboy's and livestock. We go to it every year. Sammy Haggar is still the "red rocker!"He still has his voice, outstanding on the guitar, and he really plays for the crowd. He loves performing and it shows.
This was our first time getting Star Experience tickets. It’s so worth it! We will never get regular tickets again. The staff was so friendly, helpful, and courteous. The food was very good (desserts were amazing). And the bar had a nice selection of beer wine and liquor. The whole experience of going down on the dirt for the concert was surreal and every seat had a good view.
We purchased the star experience to see Sammy Hagar whom we love and loved for his third trip to the San Antonio Rodeo! However once the show was over we were hustled into a very large elevator which exited to the outside of the arena.... this made for a very poor experience as the weather was unbelievable cold and we needed to request our Lyft. We were able to sneak back inside but were told by a staff member we could not wait inside for the Lyft even though there were still many spectators inside.... very poor planning that needs much room for improvement!!!
Rodeo was great. Quality of life stock was fantastic. Due to cold, nothing was open yet we arrived early in order to do things on the schedule of events. We were not allowed indoors so had to freeze outdoors. If things are going to be shut down, a notice MUST be sent to ticket holders. We received a billion emails from San Antonio stock yard and Rodeo prior to the event. Why did we not receive notice not to arrive until allowed indoors at 5:30.
Parking was easy ($40), crowds were not too bad, rodeo was great, food was sub-par, drinks were convenient, venue was good except for acoustics and exiting traffic was not bad.
None of the vendors except one near the kids in the builiding were serving foods. None of the representatives at the exhibits like tractors etc were out. No preshow but some "gobblygook"on the TV screen. Rodeo events were good, singer was very good. The Act after the rodeo, the concert, was terrible. The words were not understandable, the music too loud and distorted. A very poor experience overall
So I'm a disabled Veteran that got out of the house and had oh so much fun wrap up in just a few hours. We enjoyed the food and shopping in the exhibit halls. The livestock was available for people to take pictures petting them. The children enjoyed feeding animals in the petting zoo exhibit. We didn't ride any rides but it was fun to see smiling faces when people got off of them. The seats that we got were amazing perfect view. The excitement was loud at times during the events. Then came Joe Nichols who put on a really good show. He did some songs from other artist but really got the crowd to join him in a sing a long for a couple of the songs. It was so nice. Also during the National anthem they really encouraged the audience to sing which was cool.
We had a GREAT time! We look forward to going every year.
Four of us were visiting San Antonio for the first time, heard about the rodeo and decided to take it in. We spent a couple of hours just walking around the stock yards and barns, eating dinner, and doing a little shopping, before hitting the rodeo. That was fun. Then the rodeo!! That was great! Fast moving, lots of action, very well done. We had seats up in nose-bleed heaven, but we had no problem seeing all the action clearly. It was a fun night. It to took 30 minutes to set up the concert stage. Whiskey Myers were the performers, not our cup of tea, so we left after 2 songs. All in all, it was a fun adventure. Thanks.
Enjoyed the show with no interruptions and sat in an area where everyone was respectful of one another.
The rodeo has been going downhill for years and I think this year is the worst. The acts in the middle of the rodeo are the same almost every day. Miss Rodeo Texas hasn’t been here in years. Parking went up $15 in one year. The quality of the Cowboys and cowgirls is still good but overall it is pretty underwhelming. Concert names are not impressive minus a few and even then the music quality is terrible.
The events were competitive and exciting. We especially the mutton bustin. Diamond Rio was great as well
The San Antonio Rodeo and Diamond Rio concert were incredible! Easy access in and around venue (first timers), great venue, nicest staff EVER, not a bad view anywhere, and an all around wonderful event fun for all ages. Looking forward to next year!
It was an excellent rodeo. I feel the food is way over priced!! Diamond Rio was good, once again the music was louder then the singers. I go every year and love it. This year I got a parking pass and it was an easy in and out.
What an amazing experience and event. We were in awe from the moment we walked in until we left after the show. This was our first experience of a rodeo and it went beyond our expectations. Everyone was friendly, helpful, informative and thoughtful.
Fun for the whole family. Great food. Awesome music.
Seats were way too high up, but concert was excellent.
