What an amazing voice - what a true performer and lover of music. Samara is a beautiful and blessed soul. Her stage presence is strong and humbled. All of the energy that she and her band members pour into their craft was on full display at the show - and I am grateful to have bear witness.

  • A Force of Nature

by Sophisticated Lady on 6/24/24Town Hall - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Samara Joy is a joy in every single sense of this word. From the moment she came on stage in the beautiful, flowing shocking pink wrap, she was both captivating and inviting. I was knocked out by the range and control of her voice as well as the rare and lovely humility she exhibited. The musicians that were with her are equally talented and gifted. Together they made for a dynamic and seamless combination. It was a remarkable and unforgettable evening. This young woman’s star is rising and I can’t wait to experience her gift again and again!! Thank you Samara Joy!!🌹

Seeing Samara Joy live always leaves me with the same feeling. Blissful! She has an incredible group of musicians to accompany her and take you on an absolute peaceful journey. This is the 5th time I’ve seen her and besides being incredibly talented she is also quite humble and appreciative of the whole experience. A real treasure, especially during turbulent times like these.

Samara Joy was absolutely fantastic! The show was amazing. I have seen her in concert a half dozen times and every time it has been completely different and better than the time before. He music is classic and timeless and I feel like we are watching in real time the emergence of a great new song writer. The town hall performance was well worth it!!!!!

  • Great Show

by Brian on 6/24/24Town Hall - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Samara Joy has undoubtedly been passed the baton from some of the great jazz vocalists. Listening to her is like listening to Fitzgerald, Holiday, Washington, James, Vaugn, .... I look forward to listening to her for many years to come as she develops her own opus which our future generations will cherish as well.

What was great: her VOICE (wow!), the band, choice of songs, order of songs. I can't say enough about this well-crafted show. She was really wonderful and she gained a new fan :)

  • Samara Joy

by Music Fan on 6/23/24Town Hall - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Samara Joy is aptly named because she is joyful and spreads joy. She’s like a throwback to the age of jazz greats like Abbey Lincoln, Sarah Vaughn, and Ella FitzGerald. That said, she’s has her own style and her band provides wonderful support.

  • Exquisite Performance

    by Musical2U on 6/23/24Town Hall - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Lady Joy's performance was beautiful. She brings a lot of talent and creativity to the Jazz forum. Can't wait for next album. I would love to hear Ms. Joy cover other standard 's like Skylark, Stolen Moments, In a Sentimental Mood etc. Lady Joy's phasing and vocal deliver has a treasure of resonance and smooth rhythm that captures and elevates each word she sings.

  • Yes and nope

by MR on 6/23/24Town Hall - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

I like Samara Joy singing the standards and looked forward to seeing her in this concert. I do not like the songs picked in this concert, though. Anyhow, she has a remarkable voice and can do with it all she likes and this is what was shown in this concert. I still prefer her Youtube performances with the jazz standards and hope there will be more of those in future presentations. She has a great future ahead and I wish her all the best.
