Sabaton on Tour
There's a very good reason that Swedish metal band Sabaton have been nominated multiple times for Best Live Band at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards. In concert, the group are a well-oiled riffing machine driven by thrashing guitars, epic keyboards and punishing drums. Charismatic vocalist Joakim Brodén, meanwhile, encourages the crowd's enthusiasm and the aggression around him onstage like a cool-under-fire circus ringmaster. The resulting show feels like an ecstatic communal experience in which audience members are bonded together by the (very metal) mayhem.
Sabaton have toured with acts such as DragonForce and HammerFall bringing venues like The Fillmore (Detroit) and The Fillmore (Minneapolis) to capacity, and appeared at major events such as the UK's Download Festival. The band also did a 20th-anniversary celebration gig at the 2019 Wacken Open Air festival that featured special appearances from multiple former members. And, since 2008, the band have thrown their own Sabaton Open Air festival, which features a packed lineup of hard rock and metal bands in addition to a unique Sabaton headlining gig.
Sabaton in Concert
Formed in 1999, Sabaton have pushed Swedish metal forward into remarkable new directions. Across their career, the band have specialized in well-researched lyrics rooted in world history and military-related events, including 2019's "Bismarck," a tune named after (and inspired by) the epic German battleship that sank in spring 1941.
Sabaton have also released several albums inspired by great works (for example, Sun Tzu's legendary book The Art of War inspired 2008's The Art of War) and important events: 2012's Carolus Rex is all about the Swedish empire's ill-fated existence, while World War I informed the concept of 2019's The Great War. Although Sabaton are frequently considered to be power metal, their music isn't easily pigeonholed. Their majestic guitar melodies and intricate solos echo heavy metal greats of the 1980s and '90s, while the cinematic keyboards and slick production conjure symphonic metal's theatrical bent.
It started with the most incompetent staff I've seen in years. I had to wait 30 mins to get in. I missed the first song of the opening act. Sabaton was great, excellent sound, but 90 mins seemed too short. 2 hours would have been perfect.
The staff at the MGM Music Hall were very nice and helpful. Epica was awesome and wow Sabaton puts on a hell of a show, They interact with the crowd and they have fun on the stage. I highly recommend going to a Sabaton concert if you’re a fan!
Nice venue very clean even the bathroom is very friendly people prices were not bad definitely will go back to see another show
One of the best (if not the best) concert I've been to. They killed it and I had a memorable time. I hope they come back to Boston soon!

Great venue. The set up and layout was great. Barely any line up. The no cash only option was surprising. As always Sabaton was amazing, great stage presence. Will be back soon.
Sabaton is one of thee best bands out there. Anyone with a love of history and a love of metal has got to appreciate not only the sound of the band but the stories they tell as well. We will go again should they come around again.
Great live band sounded great all in all awesome night
The band was amazing as always, but seeing them in person was amazing. They interacted with the crowd so fluidly and they were very nice. The crowd was also great with not being hectic and being super chill.
This was by far the best concert I’ve ever been to! I’ve never been to a Sabaton concert before this one and I had an absolute blast! 10/10!
The venue was great. Sabaton is the favorite band for two of my sons. I have personally been to three of their shows now in the area (House of Blues in Boston and Palladium in Worcester) and they consistently put on a great, energetic show. Additionally, their opening acts have gotten better each show (did not like Creator at the first one, but HammerFall at the Palladium and Epica for this one were very good).
Sabaton is the one of the few bands that I can honestly say is as good live as their recorded albums. This was my 4th time seeing them and it was AMAZING. Both Sabaton and Epica brought an abundance of energy and a great set. Honestly my only complaint anytime I see Sabaton is that it wasn't long enough. Its the kind of show you just don't want to end. The venue was new to me, and overall it was a nice place. Entry was fast and easy. Seating was a bit snug, and exiting was slightly slow due to setting up a merch line. Air flow was good considering the venue size.
These guys are great! Their energy, enthusiasm, and love of performing, and comical fun make for an unforgettable experience. If you get a chance, you need to see them.
The concert was AWESOME SABATON kicked ass !! My son liked it SABATON is his favorite band right now it would be nice if we could WIN tickets for the SABATON Cruise MGM Music Hall was a nice venue too I would go back there

A must see!!! You will not be disappointed!!! These guys are fantastic. They play and sound like their albums. Each band member interacts with the crowd, lots of laughs. Will definitely be seeing them again.
Sabaton is one of our favorite bands! One of the best live performance metal bands out there! We go see them every time they’re in Massachusetts!
Talk about an awesome and immersive show. Both Epica and Sabaton kept the crowd engaged and put on amazing shows. Will definitely be seeing them again. This was my sons first metal show and after every song he said "that was amazing!" 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
