  • For the most part

There were some really good comics there but a few not so good talking about rape and pedophiles as if people want to go out and listen to that.?? But some of the comedians really stood out outstanding and I wish I had the names of those who did. Think punchline or the comedians as a whole could get together to make an ad card showing their faces and names. Even if they had to raise the price a little to do that. The event only cost $18. which is way under for what most entertainment cost these days.

First time to Punch Line - didn't know they had a showcase. Went with a group of friends for a double birthday celebration, and laughed our butts off! We had the chance to see at least 20 different comedians because a representative from NBC's Last Comic Standing was in the audience. Great time!

Second time going to the punchline comedy club, it was amazing. I like the showcase for this reason, so much variety. All brought a different charm and humor to the stage. The host was great introducing each performer, this made me feel excited for the next comic. On the other hand the drink service was horrible. It was a two drink minimum and we barely got the chance to order a second. They made sure the guy from Canada has plenty of drinks, but our table two seats down. Was asked once until I waved the girl over.

  • Pretty cool and funny

The event was enjoyable and the comedians were funny... They're not the funniest out there, but a few of them have the potential to be really big (they'll get their own shows at some point.) The format was quick and fast paced... No snoozing.

I've been to the Punch Line before for a comedy showcase, and it was actually a really good time. Halloween night, however, is not the time to come. Comedians seemed (dare I say) drunker than usual, surprised to see a full audience in the house, and thoroughly unprepared for anything other than awkwardly standing on the stage in full costume-- with the exception of a couple who were a bit more lively and entertaining. The 2+ hours we were there were for the most part painful, unfortunately. I fully support the comedians who give it their best and seem like they're having a good time, but this was not one of those nights at the Punch Line. I actually would recommend trying this place out, but I don't think holidays are the way to go, as nobody seems to be taking it seriously. On one high note, the closing act by two guys who performed Flight of the Concords-esque songs (their name escapes me!) was actually pretty good. Sadly we just had to sit through 2 hours of lameness to get there.

Had no idea SF had such funny local comedians. I think I laughed so hard I teared up in almost every set! I'll definitely be coming here regularly.

Great set of local comedians just doing their thing. Punch Line is a great venue too - a bit more intimate that Cobb's and a great spot for a date.

There was a good number of comedians, and even a few special appearances that really made the show spectacular. It was a great night, FULL of laughs.
