I did not realize how smart Russell Brand was and then he would throw something so wild and crazy out there that I forgot how intelligent he is and completely off the chain!
Russell Brand was hilarious...and exactly as one would expect. He came out to the crowd during the show to get to know the audience....and stayed late after the show for pics. Although at times the theme of the show "Messiah Complex" was a bit far fetched... He kept you entertained...and laughing. The venue was a renovated church.... But a nice environment and location for the show. I would definitely do this again.
I've waited since 2007 to see Russell Brand live, and let me tell you that he did not disappoint. It was as smart as it was funny. No one quite does stand up like Mr. Brand. It was insightful, hilarious, and most of all it was beautiful. His comedy conveys a message along with laughs. It was truly an honor to see the master at work.
I was expecting a very funny show and got one about 10 times better than expected. Can't wait until he comes back again.
By far the funniest show I have ever been to amazing personality such quick wit, adorable accent and not to mention he very easy on the eyes what more can you ask for I love you Russell Brand!
This was a rehearsed, intelligent, entertaining performance from a guy with a deliciously twisted view of the world. Left-leaning, reasonable and poised, Mr. Brand is not a joke teller per se; he's more of a humorous commentator on today's culture. Settle in. It's worth it.
Russell Brand is one of a kind, and that may be a good thing. I laughed so hard and long that I was crying through most of the show and my stomach hurt. His dialogue is intelligent, clever, hysterical, irreverent, and baudy (to put it mildly). I loved the show and could watch him perform all day long. Very nice on the eyes!
Fantastic show - great artist. As always the Tabernacle lives up to being a great place to see an act.
It's not just comedy it's also a learning experience. It seemed like he genuinely cared about his fans and was his crazy self. I had a great time!

The show was amazing! He is hilarious, but also incorporates some very intellectual topics into his show. I was laughing the entire time and enjoyed watching how animated he was.
Complete waste of money. He drew parallels between his indiscretions and Ghandi, Che Guevara, Malcolm X, and Jesus Christ. The rest of the time he just talked about how he's great at sex and wanted to find an Atlanta girl after the show.
Russell Brand put on a fantastic show, and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment. At the end, he even stayed on stage to HUG every person who sought to head down front. How Amazing was that?!?!
He was funny,witty,smart and very entertaining...I think this was the funniest I have seen so far.
The show was really great ! BUT we had to stand outside in line for an hour ! This has never happened before. This was a " HARDROCK " problem. Usually they let you in as you arrive , and things run smoothly.This made the show start 30 min. late. I don't care if your STAR PERFORMER is late. It was 100 degrees outside ,we wanted to go inside and sit down ! I hope this problem does not happen again ! Even though the show started late we got our money's worth Russell Brand gave us a one hour & 45 min. show .
First, let me get this out of the way: the ticket said the show was for 8 and the show didn't start until 9:25. I would hope that in the future, The Civic would clarify that DOORS are at 8. Russell Brand was amazing! The Civic was the perfect venue for this type of show because it's was small and intimate. Russell was extremely entertaining and gave his all to the audience, even meeting with fans after the show. If he were to return to New Orleans, I would definitely go see him again. The show was worth every penny that I paid for my floor seat.
The show was great! Russel Brand was witty, funny, intelligent and surprisingly up to date on his religious studies. I really enjoyed the show and was able to get a picture and a kiss with the star himself!!!
If you like Russel Brand you'll love his show. Plain and simple. He's funny, he's quick. The venue we were in was small so it felt a lot more intimate. I loved it. It was a great show.
