About

2014 marks thirty years since drummer and lyricist Neil Peart joined Rush and together with Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson set forward a course that would change the very concept of how musical and complicated rock can be. These progressive rock revolutionaries blazed a trail that would eventually lead to their induction in the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame in 2013. Over that long 25-million-record-selling journey, there would be two generations of ticket holders whose minds and faces were melted in concerts shows that are otherworldly exhibitions of musicianship. Whether tearing through international hits like "Tom Sawyer" and "Limelight," or playing the long album tracks beloved by their fans, rock's "holy trinity" never stopped reaching for new heights.

Still, even the most die hard of Rush fanatics were not be prepared for the burst of inspiration, thoughtfulness and musicianship that lead 2012's Clockwork Angels, the Canadian legends' 19th full length studio release, and arguably the best of the lot. Not only had they kept their clockwork precision, but also they had added a new passion and vision to their musicality. Whether in the studio or on tour, Rush has shown that when you come to define progressiveness in modern rock, your journey is never truly finished.

    GODLY

    by PV2Harp on 4/19/10Rush - Bristow

I love this band so much. I am only 18, but I feel like I have been listening to them forever. Hearing they were going on tour made me so happy, but then finding out I would be at AIT during the time was a major let-down, before I realized they would be playing in Bristow, VA which is a two-and-a-half hour drive from Fort Lee, VA. That made me so happy, and I will be loaded by then. RUSH, here I come.

    By far the best !!

by RollieBollie on 4/19/10Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena - Jacksonville

Since the Moving Pictures Tour in '81, I have seen Rush 22 times, the last time being in Jacksonville, FL 4/17/08. All I can say is if you take the time to familiarize yourself with any of their material, and then see it live.......something happens that is truly life altering. The greatest downside to Rush is also their greatest compliment.. They completely ruin it for all other musicians! If you have any doubt, just go to one show.

by missrush on 4/18/10St. Louis - St. Louis

I have seen the boys every time they have come to St. Louis since 1984 and twice in KC for a total of 15 times! And they have always been AMAZING!! When they were here in 2008 I got third row seats and it was the best show ever! This time to hear all of Moving Pictures will be a real treat! I can't wait to hear some of the new stuff, I am sure it will be fantastic! For all the newbies, Welcome to the TIME MACHINE!

I think this is also a rare moment in history. Mr. Peart smiling? Good for you! I wonder what the joke was? I am going to two shows; one in Allentown, PA and the other in Washington, DC. This show will NEVER happen again, so get it while you can! Also looking forward to the next GREAT album!

    First Rush Expierence !!!

by Oreo422 on 4/17/10Superpages.com center, (Formerly) Starplex, Also Reunion Arena ( No More) - Dallas

My first live encounter with the boys was ther Signals tour (1983) They performed live at Reunion Arena in Dallas, Texas ( Wher I live ) and Reunion no longer exist. It was an incredible show and have been a die hard fan ever since. Alex, Neil and that un-forgetable bass and vocals of Geddy stay with you forever, This Time Machine Tour 2010 I will gleefully be in the audience as usual viewing in total awe just how mind blowing they are as musicians live in concert. Thank you Rush for 27 years and counting of nothing less than perfect rock music and lyrics that you have privledge your fans to admire and respect for more than four decades. This summers tour will mark my 26th show I have seen live and have never left the venue they have played disappointed,

    RUSH RULZ!!!

    by ppaul on 4/17/10RED ROCKS - MORRISON/DENVER

In 1976, I went to the UTEP campus to see Iron Butterfly in El Paso, TX. It was announced that they were a no-show and a group named RUSH would perform in their place. Needless to say, we were irate for the no show until RUSH came out crankin! 2112 was intense...I was immediately a fan, purchased all their albums and have been a serious fan since. August 16th will be the 3rd time seeing them at Red Rocks in Morrison , CO, the best venue for them that I've been a part of.

by Halnino on 4/17/10Starlight Theater - Kansas City

I have always been a fan of Rush ever since I first heard 2112. I got the chance to see them for the first time in Kansas City back in 1986. Now I get to come back to the city that first brought them to me. I am ready to rock it hard!!!!! I highly recommend a Rush concert to anyone who loves good music, thoughful lyrics and the talents of three masterful, magical musicians who know just how to put it all together. July First, Kansas City here I come!!!!!!!!!!

    Best Freakin' Band Alive

by GuessImaWorkinMan on 4/17/10Oakland, Concord, Ca. - Oakland, Concord

Been a fan since highschool (1980). Saw them in Oakland, Ca during Moving Pictures tour -how cool that they are playing the entire album!!! Saw twice last year in Concord, Ca. (Snakes and Arrows) which was a nice surprise after some of the albums in the 90's that I wasn't too keen on. This is the absolute essence of supreme talent. I don't care if you hate Geddy Lee's voice, you have to admit the guy can jam on the bass, Alex is a guitar wizard, and Neil...well Neil is the absolute flippin' god of the drum kit. Period.

Looking forward to it - yet again!!!

by CrazedRushFan on 4/16/10Woodlands Pavilion - Houston

I'm really looking forward to this tour! Just a few weeks ago I was telling my wife that if Rush ever toured again, I would take my 9 year old son with me. And then this tour was announced! I'm glad to see that I'm not the only die hard Rush fan out there. I've been a life-long Rush fan, but only saw my first Rush concert in my late 20s in '97 (Test for Echo), then again in '02 (Vapor Trails). For their 30th anniversary tour, me and a few friends saw them in Dallas, San Antonio and Houston. Then again completed the tri-fecta for the Snakes and Arrows in 2007 and their second pass in 2008 (although I believe it was Austin vs San Antonio for one of those tours). Anyway, I'm definitely planning to see them in Houston this September, and just maybe another tri-fecta is in order. Best live music, rock band concert you'll ever experience. Hands down.

    My First Show

by PeachesFogarty on 4/15/10Mohegan Sun - Uncasville

My high school boyfriend introduced me to Rush in 1996. I knew who they were but truely didn't appreciate their amazingness until I saw them in Massachusetts during the Test For Echo tour. I was completely floored and have been a hardcore fan ever since!

by rushme on 4/14/10White river Amphitheatre - Auburn

Just got my tickets for Aug. 7th in Seattle. I am stoked ! I saw Rush on the original moving pictures tour in the 80's. I never thought i would get this chance again. I am taking my 21 yr. old son for his first real rock show. Rush has written the soundtrack to my life over the last 30 years and i could not be more excited about a show. I am sure it will be a very emotional moment for me....

How will Rush Be July 3rd.? Are you kidding me?

by zippei on 4/9/10Summerfest - Milwaukee

It will have been the greatest night of your life!!! Everyone who has ever seen Rush has seen Tom Sawyer, YYZ, Limelight & maybe Red Barchetta. I've seen them play Whitch Hunt before, which was fantastic. (No pun intended) The Camera Eye & Vital Signs along with the fore mentioned & you know it will be great. Plus what else will they have in store for you??? Better get your 3-D Glasses on. They may try to scare you. I can see it now, Geddy wearing his Converse, Jeans & a Brewers Jersey. He may sing "One likes to believe in the freedom of "Baseball!" It will be "he MUST SEE CONCERT OF THE YEAR!!!" Neil really feeds off of a big crowd as does the rest of the Band.
