About

RUSH took rock music into uncharted territory and to unmatched heights fueled by the once-in-a-lifetime interplay of Geddy Lee (bass, keys, vocals), Alex Lifeson (guitar, vocals), and the late Neil Peart (drums, lyrics). Selling over 45 million albums worldwide, garnering seven Grammy Award nominations, tallying billions of streams, and earning induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame, the pioneering trio’s incalculable influence has spanned generations, attracting one of the most ardent audiences in history. These musicians effectively reimagined and redefined rock without boundaries, striking a balance between elite instrumentation, anthemic vocals, provocative lyricism, and timeless storytelling both sonically and thematically. RUSH notably achieved “the third most consecutive gold/platinum studio albums by a rock band behind only the Beatles and the Rolling Stones.” Furthermore, their accolades have included becoming Officers of the Order of Canada in 1996, achieving the Canadian Governor General’s Performing Arts Award in 2012, and receiving recognition with both a star on the Canada Walk of Fame and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The world tragically said goodbye to Peart on January 7, 2020 following his battle with brain cancer. Honoring Peart and the legacy the band had forged together, Lee and Lifeson celebrate RUSH on tour in 2026. It’s a moment for new listeners to finally experience this music live in all of its glory and another chance for the group’s faithful fanbase to rally again.

  • Rush was awesome- as usual!!

by pjcm on 8/2/15Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre (formerly Verizon Wireless Amph) - IrvineRating: 5 out of 5

I admittedly haven't followed Rush's recent material as much as their older stuff. The R-40 concert was done in reverse, including at least one track from most of their albums except for a few (Power Windows, Test for Echo, etc..). The choice of songs was for the most part excellent, with the tastiest tracks thrown in from the most recent releases, as well as a song or two you would never expect them to do these days (Natural Science, Lakeside Park, etc...) Their quirky humor and tendency to not take themselves seriously showed in the video vignettes played throughout, and made for a fun night. The opening vignette, while fun, shows how they evolved over the 40 years, and came with an accompanying bit soundtrack of their songs through the various periods. This gave me chills, as they are easily one of the hardest working, most creative, humble and talented bands that have ever graced our planet!

  • Incredible

by edeuning on 8/2/15Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre (formerly Verizon Wireless Amph) - IrvineRating: 5 out of 5

I've seen many concerts/bands over my 34 years of concert going. Rush is by far the best live band I have ever seen and Thursdays Irvine Meadows show was no exception but the rule.

  • Rush in Irvine

by JTBB on 8/2/15Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre (formerly Verizon Wireless Amph) - IrvineRating: 5 out of 5

Oh wow! As an avid concert goer I can honestly say, this was one of the best shows I have ever seen! It amazes me that three guys can sound like they do. Just incredible! There were a number of high points. My favorite song is Far Cry. That was great. Cygnus was amazing. I thought that Xanadu was great. I am sure that I speak for many others in that I hope they will continue to perform. Even if its a mini tour every now and then. Keeping my fingers crossed!

  • Simply Amazing. The BEST LIVE BAND EVER!!!

by asandop on 8/2/15US Airways Arena - PhoenixRating: 5 out of 5

These guys pour it down with musicianship and top class. They make fun of each other but treat their music so seriously. Respect and love each other. They seem to be 3 regular guys but when they go at it (play their music) it seems like is an orchestra performing. There's a reason they were voted the best live band on the internet. Without being Mainstream!! You got to see them to know why. Amazing show. I can cross now one of my bucket list items as I was very fortunate and honored to share this concert with my son and being his first concert ever! what a double treat.

  • Outstanding R40 Rush Concert

by ThePartyMan on 8/1/15US Airways Center - PhoenixRating: 5 out of 5

Once again, Geddy, Alex and Neal pulled all the stops out and performed a fabulous concert. Rush is still at the top of their game. The entire concert was organized starting with the most recent album, Clockwork Angels,. then they went backwards through their extensive catalog of albums playing key songs from many of them. At the same time, their stage equipment was changed to reflect the period of the album.

  • That was one LOUD show- it was awesome!!

by VinceR21 on 8/1/15MGM Grand Garden Arena - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

Ive been a casual Rush fan but they hit it out of the ballpark with this show!! I cant think of one slow moment in the show!

  • If this is it, they went out better than ever!

    by myst4234 on 7/31/15US Airways Center - PhoenixRating: 5 out of 5

Wow is the one word description. Geddy still can hit the notes, the band was tight, and Alex was on fire tonight... Have seen them approx 10 times over the years and they never dissapoint. They were so tight and seem to still be having fun... I am hoping that they decide that it was not the last tour after all as I would sure hate to think the ride is over!

  • Awesome. Always Awesome.

by NighflyAZ on 7/31/15US Airways Center - PhoenixRating: 5 out of 5

In the last 33 or so years of going to Rush shows I have never once left the arena disappointed and this was no exception. From "The Anarchist to Working Man" the trio delivered a high energy performance that had the crowd standing for the entirety of the 3+ hour performance. "I wish I could live it all again..."

  • R40 ≥ what came before

by DisplacedNative on 7/30/15MGM Grand Garden Arena - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

Who, in any line of work, can claim to have been at the top of their game for four-plus decades? Well, the Canadian Rock Triumvirate can! These guys still have it, and they probably will even after they decide to leave the road behind them. Thank you, Rush, for giving your fans so much enjoyment during this headlong flight!

  • Tradition

by jarradsmom on 7/30/15US Airways Center - PhoenixRating: 5 out of 5

I took my son to his first RUSH concert when he was 12. Twenty one years later we haven't missed a single show. This year was bitter sweet. The boys never sounded better. It was an amazing night. But then the reality set in. What if this is the last tour. Our little tradition will come to an end. We've had an amazing run and we have 21 years of memories from all the great shows. Although I'm bummed they don't perform the Tree song anymore. This hippie mom loves it. So Boys if you could find it in your heart to take it to 50 years I would be eternally grateful. Truly. Love, Jarrad's mom.

  • RUSH R40 TOUR PHOENIX,AZ

by Mikrek on 7/30/15US Airways Center - PhoenixRating: 5 out of 5

ONE OF THE BEST SHOWS I'VE EVER SEEN!! IF THESE GUYS ARE CALLING IT QUITS AFTER THIS THEY MIGHT WANNA RETHINK A UNREAL SUPER SHOW.

  • Rush Rocks

by Matterhorness on 7/30/15US Airways Center - PhoenixRating: 5 out of 5

Great show with an amazing setlist. Hard to pick out a favorite song - they did such a great job! It was a time journey with Rush.

  • Rush R 40

    by DM589 on 7/30/15US Airways Center - PhoenixRating: 5 out of 5

Great show lights, lasers, pyrotechnics, and great sound. The show went a long time so we got our moneys worth. The props were "different" and we never figured out the washing machines. Never been to see Rush so maybe there is a long time reason for them.

  • rush 40th anniversary tour

by patgypsumcolorado on 7/30/15MGM Grand Garden Arena - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

Seen them since 1980-they keep getting better and better. Always a phenomenal show. They love each other, love what they do and love their fans. Incredible performers. They have influenced many to learn to play music through their musicianship, lyrics and topics drawing from many musical influences. You must see them in concert and feel the rush!

  • R40 Live

by LSLV on 7/30/15MGM Grand Garden Arena - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

first 2 songs were indecipherable I couldn't understand nor hear Geddy above the instruments, finally the sound man got his act together and I could understand what he was singing, I felt that there was 3 songs the band didn't enjoy performing, Tom Sawyer, Working Man and Priests of The Temple at Syrinx, you could tell he was just going through the motion when performing those particular songs, I was hoping for them to perform Trees they didn't, the acoustics are horrible as are the seats, I couldn't bring my 8" tablet but with all the cell phones recording that was stupid, I thoroughly enjoyed the show, 3 hours is a long time to perform and since they are in their 60's I am surprised at how well they sounded and how well Geddy's voice has held up through the years

  • rush always the best

by Anonymous on 7/30/15US Airways Center - PhoenixRating: 5 out of 5

the show was great and the band sounded excellent as always

  • by Anonymous on 7/30/15MGM Grand Garden Arena - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

RUSH was unforgettable as usual! Nice to hear some songs that they had not played in a long time also!

  • Rush was fantastic, of course!

by CWArizona on 7/30/15US Airways Center - PhoenixRating: 5 out of 5

Great concert, and it was fun taking a walk down memory lane with Rush from the present to where it all started, and to watch the set slowly being broken down until they appeared to be playing in a high school gym. I still like the old songs the best. We made it a family outing. My husband and I (in our 50's), our daughters (in their 20's) plus a fiancé, and our one year old granddaughter. We had a great time!

  • R U S H epic show

by mortuculus on 7/30/15MGM Grand Garden Arena - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

This was the second time I have seen them on this tour. They were so good in Buffalo had to fly to Vegas to see them again and they were incredible. They seemed to play even better in Vegas which I could not imagine was possible. They were tighter and the sound at the MGM was awesome. The entire evening was magical - long live Rush. Thank you Rush for 40+ awesome years!!

  • Rush still got it

    by luckyone317 on 7/30/15US Airways Center - PhoenixRating: 5 out of 5

This was an awesome concert. After 40 years Rush still can rock the house.
