About

RUSH took rock music into uncharted territory and to unmatched heights fueled by the once-in-a-lifetime interplay of Geddy Lee (bass, keys, vocals), Alex Lifeson (guitar, vocals), and the late Neil Peart (drums, lyrics). Selling over 45 million albums worldwide, garnering seven Grammy Award nominations, tallying billions of streams, and earning induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame, the pioneering trio’s incalculable influence has spanned generations, attracting one of the most ardent audiences in history. These musicians effectively reimagined and redefined rock without boundaries, striking a balance between elite instrumentation, anthemic vocals, provocative lyricism, and timeless storytelling both sonically and thematically. RUSH notably achieved “the third most consecutive gold/platinum studio albums by a rock band behind only the Beatles and the Rolling Stones.” Furthermore, their accolades have included becoming Officers of the Order of Canada in 1996, achieving the Canadian Governor General’s Performing Arts Award in 2012, and receiving recognition with both a star on the Canada Walk of Fame and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The world tragically said goodbye to Peart on January 7, 2020 following his battle with brain cancer. Honoring Peart and the legacy the band had forged together, Lee and Lifeson celebrate RUSH on tour in 2026. It’s a moment for new listeners to finally experience this music live in all of its glory and another chance for the group’s faithful fanbase to rally again.

  • So disappointed!

    by WSC44 on 7/30/15US Airways Center - PhoenixRating: 1 out of 5

It probably had a lot to do with where we were sitting but the sound quality was very poor. It was very loud and bassy with the bass drums creating a droning sound that drowned everything else out. I had a friend in 208 that said the sound was fine for them so I will avoid sitting to the side at this venue in the future. This was towards the end of the tour and the boys seemed tired. Geddy Lee's voice was on an off night. My son enjoyed the show so it wasn't a total loss. The 2011 show was much better. Also they start from new to old and I don't care for their new stuff; I cant understand a word Geddy is singing and its all just a wall of noise to me. I wasn't engaged in the show until 45 mins in. Hearing some of the obsure old stuff later on was nice. Would have been better if I could have heard it over the low end.

    by Bonski5 on 7/30/15US Airways Center - PhoenixRating: 5 out of 5

I'm very happy that I was able to see them again, since they have been hinting that this was their last tour. Rush will always be my favorite.

  • Awesome concert

by JimC23 on 7/29/15MGM Grand Garden Arena - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

Rush is one of my favorite bands. Haven't seen them in concert in over 20 years, but they were just as good or even better than I remembered. I could listen to them perform all day and never get tired of listening to them. Awesome concert.

  • Outstanding

by JeepmasterJohn on 7/29/15MGM Grand Garden Arena - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

If you have not seen Rush Live, I'm sorry...I fear time is running out. An outstanding band, reliving 40 years of Heart, Soul and emotion in their music. While their vocal range might not be what it once was, the music is still vibrant, alivet, and simply amazing. If you've not seen RUSH live...do it while you still can.

  • Rush is great

by dantino on 7/29/15MGM Grand Garden Arena - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

These guys really rock. The setlist was great, combining old and recent songs. The way they play the instruments is amazing. One of the best bands performing in concert.

  • RUSH Still Rocks!

by Anonymous on 7/29/15MGM Grand Garden Arena - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

OUTSTANDING concert! I've not seen them live since 1979. We live in Indiana and made this a special event in conjunction with our 35th anniversary. Well worth the trip! The MGM was a fine venue for the show, and the band has not lost any talent over all these years. Loved it!

  • They still got it! Great Venue!

by YolandaD29 on 7/29/15MGM Grand Garden Arena - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

Saw Rush on Sat, July 25, at MGM in Vegas. Great venue. Vegas knows how to handle a crowd. The band was in fine form. Sat between two Canadians. Live is good!

  • ultimate musicians

by utdjhgfdgddgfkjy on 7/29/15MGM Grand Garden Arena - Las VegasRating: 4 out of 5

Three amazing rock musicians, tops in their class. Put on a great show spanning their entire careers. No song was a dissappointment, and 40 years as friends/bandmates really showed onstage. The only reason it wasn't 5 plus stars was the sound system. Great musicians don't need to be over amped. Truly hope that this wasn't a farewell tour.

  • Rush R40 was amazing

by Acemyth73 on 7/29/15MGM Grand Garden Arena - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

40 years and still playing with full-tilt energy. This was my 9th time seeing them over the past 25 years. One of my favorite bands and recommended for anybody who has never had the experience.

  • Worth the Wait

by ZepDiva on 7/29/15MGM Grand Garden Arena - Las VegasRating: 4 out of 5

Why did I wait 41 years to see Rush? I thought the show was great - it was wonderful to see three musicians so in tune with each other and still playing good music. I liked how the stage set-up changed during the show to reflect the stage technology at the time that each song was released. I loved the projection of a high school gym at the end - reflecting the band's start. Alex Lifeson is a really underappreciated guitarist - I was amazed by his playing. I have always been a big fan of Geddy's - now with Squire gone, he is the premier bassist in the hard/progressive genre. And finally, I got to see my favorite living drummer - the fantastic Neil Peart. After the show, I heard some guys complaining, but I was amazed and delighted by the musicianship of these three guys, now in their sixties. I was hoping for "YYZ" or "La Villa Strangiato," but you can't have everything in a retrospective show. It was definitely worth traveling from Sacramento to attend the show. I hope it won't be the last one either. Happy Birthday to Geddy - BTW!

  • Rush is Awesome!

    by Shucker69 on 7/28/15KeyArena - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

Still great show, year after year. My only sadness is that I know after 40 years I am approaching the last time I will get to see them. But for now, they haven't missed a beat and play on. They are terrific, everything a rock band should be.

  • The Band of my life!!!

  • Rush were worth the travel from uk

by Dustybird on 7/28/15MGM Grand Garden Arena - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

Travelled from UK on Thursday to see Rush on Saturday and travel home again on Sunday, so worth it, they were superb, words cannot describe the atmosphere, venue, sound and the show itself.

  • R40... worth every penny

by SCADABOX on 7/28/15MGM Grand Garden Arena - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

I'm a huge fan of rock bands that can play multiple sets/hours and perform seamlessly even though you know they are working very hard to deliver a solid LIVE performance, and Rush is a perfect example of this. The show was well over two hours long, the sound was incredible and not overdone, and the flow of songs representing the past forty years of Rush was a delightful blend of music for a live performance -- and the light show as well. If you have the chance to see them I would recommend it as they might not be around for very long. Rush - thank you!

  • Rush was a RUSH!

by caboTOMMY on 7/28/15MGM Grand Garden Arena - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

One of the best concerts I've ever seen and heard. They were tight and Geddy's voice sounded like it did 20 years ago. He hit the notes you hear on your CD's or whatever. Neil is the best drummer of all time, period! Geddy is best bass player ever. Alex has to be one of the best of all time. He is hugely under-rated. Try to find a better guitar player... just pick anyone you can think of and compare them side by side with Alex. He was unbelievable! As a trio they make more music than other HoF rock groups with 4 or 5 members. The technical production of the sound was spot on. Not overly loud, you heard every note. The mix and lighting were awesome. A 3 hour show!! The stage set up constantly changed from their current set to those that they had during each era of their career. Very cool. They changed instruments almost every song. Except Neil, but his huge kit did disappear and change to older smaller kit after intermission.
