About

RUSH took rock music into uncharted territory and to unmatched heights fueled by the once-in-a-lifetime interplay of Geddy Lee (bass, keys, vocals), Alex Lifeson (guitar, vocals), and the late Neil Peart (drums, lyrics). Selling over 45 million albums worldwide, garnering seven Grammy Award nominations, tallying billions of streams, and earning induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame, the pioneering trio’s incalculable influence has spanned generations, attracting one of the most ardent audiences in history. These musicians effectively reimagined and redefined rock without boundaries, striking a balance between elite instrumentation, anthemic vocals, provocative lyricism, and timeless storytelling both sonically and thematically. RUSH notably achieved “the third most consecutive gold/platinum studio albums by a rock band behind only the Beatles and the Rolling Stones.” Furthermore, their accolades have included becoming Officers of the Order of Canada in 1996, achieving the Canadian Governor General’s Performing Arts Award in 2012, and receiving recognition with both a star on the Canada Walk of Fame and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The world tragically said goodbye to Peart on January 7, 2020 following his battle with brain cancer. Honoring Peart and the legacy the band had forged together, Lee and Lifeson celebrate RUSH on tour in 2026. It’s a moment for new listeners to finally experience this music live in all of its glory and another chance for the group’s faithful fanbase to rally again.

  • Rush

by riccosoft on 5/31/15Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park - AlpharettaRating: 4 out of 5

This concert was so much better than the last one at Verizon Amphiteater The mixing was definitley better. there was a bit of distortion from some amplifier somewhere in the set of amps, but apart from that the musicality was great. As for the selection of songs, yeah I understand Rush is trying to promote their new releases but as an old Rush fan I need to hear their classics, specially in a concert.

  • Rush was the Best!

Outstanding and well worth the money ... what a show!

  • RUSH 100% throttle

by DannySparrow on 5/31/15Greensboro Coliseum Complex - GreensboroRating: 5 out of 5

I have seen the boys live at least a dozen times. This was one of the best. They are still giving their fans every bit of energy they can muster up. Awesome show!!!

  • Ok show

by Jeevebs on 5/31/15Greensboro Coliseum Complex - GreensboroRating: 3 out of 5

They did not play all the top hits. I knew about 5 songs the entire night. I'm sure die hards were ok with deep tracks but if you are looking for hits this isn't the show. They have funny movies at intermission and encore. Overall a good show.

  • Austin Rush 40 Concert

by Anonymous on 5/31/15Austin360 Amphitheater - AustinRating: 1 out of 5

As a long-time RUSH enthusiast it pains me to post this negative review of the RUSH 40 concert in Austin on May 16. My expectations going into this concert was to here an anthology of all of their most classic hits. Did I expect some obscure songs?....sure. Did I expect 80% of the song set to be obscure and 20% classic recognizable songs?...No. I expected the opposite. Was I shocked and disappointed that I did not hear classics such as, "limelight, Red Barchetta, Trees, Freewill, Time Stand Still, and others"?....absolutely! To be fair, when they played their classics it was a good time and they are still excellent musicians, but this tidbits of these classics that were tossed out 1 out of 5 songs was not compensatory for having to listen to the unrecognizable songs. I don't think I was the only one who felt this way, but maybe I'm wrong.

  • Great last stand

    by BB20100716 on 5/31/15Greensboro Coliseum Complex - GreensboroRating: 4 out of 5

Great last stand for the band, if it is in fact their last tour. Loved the concept, the musical selections, and how it was wrapped up. Only negative, I don't prefer the sound of a concert at the Greensboro Coliseum, I have seen three shows there now.

  • Rush R40 Tour - Greensboro

    by Rockfan0221 on 5/31/15Greensboro Coliseum Complex - GreensboroRating: 4 out of 5

It had been 25 years since I had last seen Rush. They are 3 amazing musicians to be sure and really showed off their talents. The acoustics in the Greensboro Coliseum are not the best, so it was not easy to hear Geddy's vocals, but if you knew the songs, you could still sing along. Overall a good, energetic show.

  • Rush - R40 Tour

by JDHIV on 5/31/15Greensboro Coliseum Complex - GreensboroRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing show as always! Lots of new "old" songs that you probably haven't heard them play in concert before. "Xanadu" live in concert is something every Rush fan must hear! Do not miss this tour.

  • RUSH R40 memories!

    by sean09 on 5/31/15Greensboro Coliseum Complex - GreensboroRating: 5 out of 5

As usual, RUSH rules! Solid band attested by still selling out shows wherever they go! Greensboro Coliseum was a nice venue... A little smaller, so great seats!

  • Sound Man Should be Executed

by RushRiderRushRider on 5/31/15Greensboro Coliseum Complex - GreensboroRating: 2 out of 5

The bass from Ged and Neil was so muddled, EQed so low, and so much louder than everything that you couldn't even discern anything from it. The bass was something you had to try and block out of your mind but you couldn't. I mean here is one of the best bass players around they made him sound like rap music blasted out of a distant car. I am not exaggerating it was really that bad and it absolutely ruined my one and only Rush experience that I've been waiting years to see.

  • Rush. 40 2015 Tour

by Rowdymon on 5/31/15Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park - AlpharettaRating: 5 out of 5

Absolutely fantastic show !!! Worth every penny and then some. They did two sets that hit most of their best stuff. Production, sounds and lights were top notch. I'm impressed with Geddy Lee's voice, he's still nailing all the notes. Alex Lifeson is still sizzeling the fret board and Neil remains the baddest drummer on the planet. Not sure how many more tours they'll do, but I would t want to miss out on this one.

  • Disappointing sound

by TerriB on 5/31/15Greensboro Coliseum Complex - GreensboroRating: 3 out of 5

First time in 26 years I had seen Rush. I thought the sound was terrible through the first set....seemed everyone's mix was off. After the first break, sound improved other than Geddy's. Just seemed the sound guys couldn't get Geddy's mix right throughout the night. With this said, the three performed flawlessly. I thought Alex was somewhat subdued compared to how I have seen him at shows before. One other thing I felt was odd were the extremely small screens on each side of the stage.

  • Rush R40 Tour - absolutely FABULOUS!

by Rushificationalism on 5/31/15Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park - AlpharettaRating: 5 out of 5

Sure we were far away, but for only $40 it was affordable and with the big screens Rush had it was great.

  • RUSH

first time seeing them, had a mother -daughter night, was GREAT!!!

  • The Best!

by rushfan603 on 5/30/15Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park - AlpharettaRating: 5 out of 5

This was my 13th Rush show dating back to the Permanent Waves tour. While I've thoroughly enjoyed every show this one was the absolute best! The musicianship was at least as good from Alex, Geddy, and Neil as it's ever been and Geddy's voice sounded as good as I've ever heard it. The stage set-up and evolution was fantastic including the final set when it was two amps, a drum kit and a red curtain. The set list was the best selection I've heard to date. My fear is that this may have been my last opportunity to see the holy triumvirate and I will continue to hope for at least one more opportunity to see them in the future. If you haven't seen them yet or in a long time do yourself a favor and go. You won't regret it!

  • Unforgettable!

by YtseJammer on 5/30/15Xcel Energy Center - Saint PaulRating: 5 out of 5

Like a fine vintage wine, Rush keeps getting better with age. They never disappoint. Amazing 2 hour and 45 minute set!

  • R-40 in the rain!

by Stike1964 on 5/29/15Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park - AlpharettaRating: 5 out of 5

What a wet, dreary night in Atlanta! What a huge, wet, excited crowd! As soon as the concert began, THE RAIN STOPPED! Awesome show! Not farewell, just a celebration!

  • RUSH rocked hard as ever!!

by RexBitt on 5/29/15Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park - AlpharettaRating: 5 out of 5

RUSH rocked out Atlanta as hard as they ever have. The show was fantastic and a real treat for my family who mostly had never seen a show. They got to see a little bit of all kinds of Rush shows through the years. The tongue-in-cheek homages to the Band's experiences through the years fit their sense of humor very well. All in all it was just a FUN show and worth every penny to see them one more time. For the last several tours the only 'disappointment' is how little of their vast catalog they can present live in a single 3+ hour show. But that's the breaks with a prolific Band that produces so many songs I always want to hear. If your going to 'disappoint' a fan, that's the way to do it - just too much good stuff to offer. And that becomes their legacy for future years and generations: a HUGE body of work that reflects years of expert musicianship and an abundance of creativity presented for others to enjoy, appreciate and to be inspired.

  • RUSH was AWESOME!!!

by Anonymous on 5/29/15Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park - AlpharettaRating: 5 out of 5

It is absolutely fantastic to witness a band like RUSH live! Their remarkable 40 years together shows in just how tight and spot on musically they are together. Not only are Geddy, Neil, and Alex helluva musicians but it's easy to see they are really good friends. That just adds another level of richness to their sound.

  • Rush is still the world's greatest rock band!
